Honestly I think I liked it better with Michael and Laurie being related because their fight scene in H20 felt personal lol
Same it just made sense to me honestly . I like H2O better then ends we just got more micheal so it was more satisfying
He was barely in H20 either.
Definitely! & I feel like it’s weird for them to abandon the sibling plot but still act like Laurie and Micheal have so much history together.
@@youmadornahhh They don't but do. They already said Michael doesn't care about Laurie but you can tell when he encounters her and they fight that there's an extra level of rage in his attacks. Laurie obviously cares about Michael because he's affected her life so much but it's shown he doesn't at all care about her. However, there is still history between them.
I hate that DGG's Halloween trilogy pretends that they aren't brother and sister. It makes so much more sense in that case when you compare it to '18-Kills-Ends. They definitely fucked up!
Samhain is literally the Irish word for "November", so it IS technically still Samhain.
I’ll take it
Right enough said ! #KileyCult!
I have my issues with H20, but I definitely prefer it to Ends. The ending was great. Laurie chopping off Michael’s head, the classic Halloween theme playing, that final shot of a determined Laurie breathing heavily as she holds that axe…it was so good.
That said, I’ve never warmed to Chris Durand’s take on Michael. “Clumsy” is a fine word for his performance. That scene where he does his version of the Michael Myers “sit-up” makes me laugh every time.
Great work on the video. 🎃
Thank you!
in Halloween Ressurection, it was revealed she actually decapitated a paramedic Michael switched clothes with and cut out his tongue so he couldn't communicate he wasn't really Michael
@@passagesstaffdayprogram7556 it was still Chris Durand though ?
@@HauntedHippie there was a scene in Resurrection where the mask was pulled off the head revealing it was a paramedic and then a scene of Michael in the paramedic's clothes escaping
@@passagesstaffdayprogram7556 I’m aware but regardless.. we are talking about Chris Durand’s performance. That was Chris Durand sitting up in that scene.
A new Kylie video just makes my day instantly better, so thanks for that!! And I was getting a bit burnt out near the end of October, but now I'm back into Halloween mode after the holiday "officially ended" haha. The timing of this video was perfect for me!
I kept noticing homages throughput the new Halloween trilogy, but you crystalized that concept for me in a way I hadn't completely articulated to myself. I'm not a nostalgia person mostly, but I found a few of those fascinating what they referenced like the Season of the Witch masks. I feel like the Cory stuff while taking a cue from Jamie reminded me of Rob Zombie's take on child Michael too. The whole what makes him tick thing which I feel is unnecessary but Michael is such a simple character if you need a new way to extend a movie idea it makes an interesting challenge I guess. Reguardless of the outcome. Perhaps they took the same concept and just applied it to Cory. Like an homage that took on a life of it's own? I'm tired , and trying to make sense of Halloween Ends at the same time is weird but I'm trying! I hope my thoughts were clear even if I'm being overly wordy. And thanks for making videos that make you think. I try to do that in my own work, and you're a very good inspiration to do that well.
Omg I know it’s so exhausting trying to make sense of Halloween ends hahaha a valiant effort
This is so much more than a review. Super, all the history and references. Keep it up. Your work is very much appreciated.
I honestly liked Both movies but for me the true "Halloween Ends" was H20.
@Paraone Ngatai as much as I love the original Halloween but it was clear with the way how the movie ended there was going to be more to tell.
Hi there! Just found your channel!! You are awesome!! Can't wait to check out the rest of your content!! Keep up the excellent work!!!
Gimme H20 all day every day. Better characters, love the plot. The mask situation is rough but. Also, a touch “Scream feeling” but I feel as tho it’s such a great solution to end the franchise or just that timeline
I love these videos so much you keep the vibe going
It’s always Halloween in my house
🖤✨
Lot of breakdowns of this franchise online but you do a good job presenting the history in a concise way
Big time congratulations. When I join your channel.. you had 13,000 subscribers now you got 14,000 subscribers.
Omg duuude I just found your channel and I totes love your vibe, gonna binge some of your content!
Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos. This was one of the most hilarious and entertaining ones for me.
Thanks so much for the kind words, helps my motivation 🙏🏼
I loved this video, I didn’t think it was a mess at all. You had me dying laughing!! Thank you. Huge supporter of your channel I love your videos!!
Thanks so much for the support! Means a lot 🖤
Finally been waiting for this! You look amazing. Also gotta say I enjoy both movies but I think H20 is the better "final battle" movie but Halloween 2018 would be the ultimate final movie if it were a standalone in my opinion. Awesome video as always.
Yes! Can't wait for the H281 vs RZH2! Also I'd recommend the novelization of Ends as it includes a lot of content about what occurred with MM, Laurie and Aly between Kills and Ends. It also at least TRIES to explain in greater detail Cory's motivations and what happened between him and MM...
I knowww it does I just wish I didn’t have to read a book for a movie to make sense. It’s on my list though
Just discovered your channel. Enjoy the vids I’ve seen so far. Even though I’m a nerd and already know most of this stuff, you have a very informative take on your topics, makes em enjoyable to watch or listen to while I’m working on a project
Great job on this video! Really enjoying the channel after discovering it!
Honestly Halloween H20 Went Down A More Realistic Ending That Made More Sense Compared To Ends So H20 Easily Wins This Debate For Me.
This video got you a sub lady. This is a great breakdown. Now I have to watch your Ends review.
Top notch commentary Kylie...Love the inserts in your videos . Ends four writers just NOOO! DDG NOOO. There is no sense to made of Ends. Chris Durand NOOO! James Jude Courtney is the star of the trioligy . Great vid as Always ✌🏻
New subbie here. Good stuff. Nicely in depth and learned some new things… Also those nails are fire. First time I saw nails styled like that. Props to you!
Thanks! Welcome to the channel!
New subscriber here. Love the content. Keep up the good work! 🙌
I’m sorry, but you can’t beat that H20 ending of Laurie decapitating Michael and then the Halloween theme immediately kicking in, that’s just… Chefs kiss perfection
At least no one involved with H20 was like: "Hey, the fans are really gonna hate this."
And I'm still having a hard time understanding that situation. Why was no one at Blumhouse asking why the director and star are saying this? Seems like fans hating it would be the opposite of what you would want.
You would think 🤦🏽♀️
H20 is a cinematic abortion
How did I find this channel? Glad I did...
I saw H20 in theaters and I’ve never been able to like it much
My Opinion:
Writing: Tied (H20’s finally confronting your monster vs Ends’ overcoming your trauma and healing)
Score: Ends
Kills: Ends
Direction: H20
Mask: Obviously Ends
The Shape: Ends
Laurie Strode: Ends
Cinematography: Ends
Opening: H20
Atmosphere: Ends
The Final Fight: Tied (H20 feels more grand, epic, and long while Ends feels more personal, real, brutal, and has a more finality
H20 has been getting a lot of hate lately. My negatives for it are the score and the constant change in masks but that’s it I love both but rewatching all 13 films this past Halloween, Ends is my 2nd favorite and H20 is my 4th favorite. H20 is a satisfying finale to the sibling timeline while Ends is a satisfying finale to the character of Laurie Strode.
I agree with you 100% except H20 ranks much lower than 4th on my list..I have it in the bottom half. But yes, Halloween Ends > H20.
@@darthtrip7188
Uhh...No. H20 was better than Halloween Ends.
@@rainbow20112011 Uh BS..it was not. H20 is a Scream knockoff..that's all it is.
@@darthtrip7188
That's okay if you don't want to agree with me. I can't force you to be right.
H20 is definitely better in my opinion with that being said please no more Jamie Lee Halloween movies🙏 7 is enough. As for the brother sister thing it makes alot more sense to have Michael vs Laurie when their related then when we're there not. They could do anything with Michael but they just made it Michael vs Laurie again
As much as I don’t like them being siblings this is true
Okay 1. Michael and Laurie are not brother and sister 2. DGG didn't need to explain their relationship because his trilogy is a continuation of the original 1978 film, 3. In that film the assumption of Laurie simply being the first girl Michael really noticed after escaping Smith's Grove reminded him of his sister Judith. He wanted to kill Laurie immediately for that reason, the lifelong obsession with Laurie came as a result of her being the one person he could never kill, she was never obsessed with him in return in the current timeline aside from her obsession with protecting herself and everyone from what she deemed as pure evil or "the Boogeyman." It really is that simple my guy. Michael views Laurie as the one who always gets away, initially brought to his attention as a reminder of Judith. Laurie views Michael as the embodiment of pure Evil and a relentless force of nature who her entire family is danger of as long as he's alive and breathing. At best, they're metaphorical "siblings" but no blood relation
...
The Sister films and Curse trilogy pale in comparison to Michael's explanation in the OG timeline imo in addition to he and Laurie's relationship
I will say tho I don't hate the Sister films or the Curse trilogy as much as I used to. H4 and H20 are 2 and 3 on my list despite me being a MM purist 😂😂😂
H20 for me, because of the nostalgic factor. 😁And it has the best showdown in this franchise.
Haha she said "Oh its not Halloween, Did I ask ?" well done !
Great Video!
Your thoughts on Ends mirror my own. I'm still baffled this is the movie they decided to make and am convinced it's the result of a forced compromise.
At some point in the process, I believe Green decided to end the Strode/Myers storyline in the second installment to free himself to make his part 3 in the spirit of the original part three. Instead, he was compelled to stretch the final showdown into the third entry alongside his very different storyline to satisfy varying interests.
Just found your channel and subscribed, love the content! Keep it up 👍
Welcome!
@@HauntedHippie thanks 🎃
I really appreciate the amount of research that goes into your videos. The H20 ending is way more solid than the new trilogy’s, despite Michael Myers looking like a muppet.
I WAS LAUGHING WITH THE DAKOTA JOHNSON MEMES 😭 I do have to say I do prefer H20 cause it’s just very straight forward and it’s such an easy watch , Halloween ends just frustrates me lmafo ! Even tho you said it’s not your best video essay , I did learn a few things I didn’t know. I personally hope the Michael Myers stops for now because what else can be done ? I’m excited for that Halloween 2s comparison
I put Resurrection ahead of Halloween Ends in my Re-Ranking lol. That's how much I dislike Ends. It might be ridiculous but it has more Michael sooo....there's that. As for H20, Laurie's story and trauma are done way better in H20 and I thought JLC delivered more. Great Video!
If they didn’t want Laurie to actually kill Michael in the end of H20, maybe they shouldn’t have him looking up at her when she called his name. Just sayin. 😂. If you aren’t Michael, don’t look up when someone CALLS YOU MICHAEL! Also putting the text on camera about needing to have a novel to understand anything had me laughing. Well played
I’m a big fan of irony
My Halloween trilogy is the original, II, and Twenty Years Later. I just started high school when HSO came out and remember really enjoying the movie.
That's right. Keep the spirit of halloween alive. Because there's just too much christmas spirit going on
Like it’s too early for all of that 😵💫
I'm Christmas shopping tomorrow.

It's crazy. This video showed up n my feed and I saw the name Haunted Hippie. I figured with that name it would be bad research and bad uninformed opinions. However I was waaaaaayyyy off and this was actually well done. Just subbed
Yes! Finally a video covering these 2 side by side. Whenever I talked abt Halloween Ends I kept comparing it to H20. I honestly wish Halloween Ends had a similar format to H20 in the sense of it having more Michael and Laurie
Ahhhhe excellent, fresh Haunted Hippie content 😎 💪.. I was starting to have withdrawals LOL jk, glad you made this movie comparison, H20 was better than Ends, by a long shot. Ok now time to watch your video haha
H20 makes sense as a finale after Halloween 1 and Halloween 2. It's also much more satisfying as an end story.
Halloween Ends makes no sense as a finale after Halloween 1, 2018 and Kills. However, the film making and music are better in Ends than H20.
One thing that always bothered me since 2018 and I never felt was actually explored enough to make work and is what I think doomed Halloween Ends is this:
The Laurie from H20 went through far more than the Laurie from 2018 because in H20 Halloween 2 is canon. Yet, Laurie from H20 was able to make every effort possible to move on and was living a happy life until Michael went to find her.
The Laurie from 2018 went through far less since Halloween 2 isn't canon. Yet 2018 Laurie could not move on. It's as if the two Lauries were in the wrong timelines.
After thinking more about 2018, I thought there was a really great opportunity. What I felt was that by not making them siblings in the 2018 timeline and having it be that the only reason Michael ended up at Laurie's place in 2018 was because of that crazy doctor driving Michael there, that there was a really great opportunity to explore the psychology of 2018 Laurie being so traumatized that she invented this rivalry in her head with Michael that actually never existed from Michael's POV. That should've been the through-line of the whole trilogy that would've driven to the finale of Ends with Laurie having to come to terms with that. Instead, it's treated as something minor and not brought up again. Had David Gordan Green seen this great opportunity from the start then Ends would've been cohesive and the end truly satisfying. But he didn't see it and that's what allowed him to just go off the rails with the irrelevant Corey story line for the 3rd movie.
Exactly. They were setting her up so well for a solid three movie arc
I think what pissed off fans is that Corey wasn't introduced until Ends. They should've had Corey in Kills then it wouldn't have felt so out of left field.
That blunt rotation is just *chefs kiss*
Really smart breakdown of these movies. In total agreement with what you said about the strengths and weaknesses. Also glad you pointed out how especially sloppy the editing was in ENDS. There were times that I heard Laurie's tone change completely while they stayed on a close-up of Corey and it just felt like instinctively they should have cut back to Laurie. Not to mention the fact that they should not have waited until the 3rd film to introduce him. As sterile as H20 was, at least the story made more sense. Despite the mask(s) being ridiculous. Maybe someone can deep fake the original Myers mask over Michael in H20, and replace the awful Creed soundtrack. That I would pay to see.
The technology is definitely there to do that
I prefer ends, h20 just felt like a scream movie also the different masks are just off putting.
Yeah the mask, music and scream vibes kind of ruined it for me lol. Otherwise I may have liked it more
the h20 fight felt really goofy to me
How they set it up in H:20 to show how Micheal found Laurie was him going to Nurse Marions house when he kills her and the 2 teens. They show her office or Dr Loomis room completely ransacked like a break in. It was stated that Loomis had moved in with her before he passed away and all his patient files were all over the place. Lauries file with all her info was empty. Pretty clever .....but like you say.....when did Mikey get so smart hahahaha. Great video and comparison!!
Disclaimer: I'm posting this mid review as I listen so if you end up mentioning that before the video ends thats my bad.....I just finished smoking up and I'm feeling nice so I got excited and had to post my comment right then hahaha
Also, I do feel maybe there was some commentary in "Ends" on how fans obsese over killers, fictional characters as well, and how it does shape us. I felt it relevant, like with Dahmer. So many called for the role of Dahmer to not be romanticized, but when you cast Even Peters as Dahmer, it's already romanticized. No way around it.... Show was great, most missed the point. I would love to hear your take on "Natural Born Killers." While not excatly a "horror", or "slasher" film, I'd still find it interesting to hear your thoughts on it.
I just stubbled across this channel because I’m a big horror fan but it’s hard to pay attention with u be absolutely gorgeous!
I'm currently leaning towards Halloween Ends. Though there are things that Halloween H20 has done better, I have to admit. Like how Michael was handled in the final act. One of the H20's greatest flaws has to go to recycling soundtracks from Scream (1996) and Scream 2. Nearly took me out of the movie each time I heard the tracks. I enjoyed the final battle in H20. Very impactful when she finally decides to stop running and face Michael Myers. I also was overall satisfied with the final battle in Halloween Ends, though I wanted slightly more than what we got. I recently noticed in the H20 battle, Michael barely was able to attack Laurie. Like only once when he cut her arm the same way he did in 1978. Throughout the rest of the fight, he's taking attacks left and right. I didn't fear for Laurie's life in that battle. But in Halloween Ends, Laurie came close to being killed and I feared for her life. Even in 2018, I feared for her life. I felt she was in real danger. Never understood why Michael's hands had no scars from the fire in Halloween 2. Halloween Ends has an even more ballsy conclusion. That's saying a lot because I always thought H20 had a ballsy ending...until it was 💩 on. Both movies I feel had deep flaws and I proudly like them both. I'm kinda glad not enough people appreciate Halloween Ends because I feel the hate will help keep this timeline laid to rest as intended. (Sorry for the super long Lord Of The Rings length comment. 😂) P.S You're so awesome!!!
Haha I appreciate the lengthy comments! I love when you guys are passionate about this stuff and we get a good convo going because then I have a lot of insightful stuff to read!
Absolutely!!! I feel like I'm truthfully conversing with you like I do with one of my best friends when I share my thoughts on these movies. Also, the more I hear criticisms on how Corey was able to knock Michael on his ass, the more I believe Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter had similar criticisms on how Tommy was the one who put an end to Jason's bloodbath (Back when it was a brand new movie). At the time, I'm sure there were some people who hated that Jason was put down that way.
@@CBThompson83 speaking of, I need to revisit that movie soon for a ranking coming up
@@HauntedHippie ooohhhh I can't wait to hear your thoughts when the time comes!!! Believe it or not...The Final Chapter has much lower rotten tomatoes ratings than Ends!! 🤦🏾♂️
H20 is horrendously bad. It duped many or the mouth agape Halloween fans. Awful movie.
Halloween Ends could've been so epic if they had an actual plan for the new trilogy, if they introduced certain characters and themes earlier to build on later. Halloween Ends showed us how the town kind of creates its own boogeyman, and it would’ve been soooo dope if Ends actually expanded on that
Most trilogies don't have an overarching idea going in. Not sure why so many dingbats get that idea in their heads
@@Nova-fh2et I wasn’t talking about other movies though. I was talking about this one 🙂
@@Yeaster so this movie is at fault for doing something every other trilogy does? Make it up as they go along?
@@Nova-fh2et Again, I wasn’t talking about every other movie. I was talking about this one
I don't really have an opinion on which is better... I think both movies are somewhat flawed. Halloween 1978 comes across to me as basically timeless. H20 and Ends are both "contemporary" interpretations and suffer from that. Like if Halloween 78 or Halloween 2 (81) came on TV I'd probably watch them, if H20 or Ends came on TV, probably not. Come to think of it, could Ebert be on about a Psycho style shower scene? They had Marion Crane from Psycho and there would be a lot of showers in a boarding school. Missed totally out of place opportunity 😂😂😂.
Years ago when I watched Seed of Chucky with my sister, she said "I feel like I dreamt that movie".
All these years later, I feel like I know what she meant. I feel like I need to rewatch Halloween Ends just to make sure I definately did see what I thought I saw. Especially that team up muerder scene.
Omg that’s exactly how I felt watching it hahahah
You've got a jodi lyn o'keefe vibe here. I dig it.
So I dunno if you look at the comments of older videos, but I watched your Halloween vs Rob Zombie Halloween, Halloween 2 vs Rob Zombie Halloween 2, and Friday the 13th vs Michael Bay Friday the 13th and had some thoughts about them that I left comments for and I'm especially hoping to get your opinion on things I said in my comment on your Friday the 13th video. You seem well versed in horror and even filmmaking, so I feel your opinion would be great to have on the ideas I presented.
Edit: Also, didn't realize your Halloween 2 video was literally just posted yesterday. I'm new to your channel.
What’s good everyday is Samhain if you want it to lol great video drop I catching it now . I still really enjoy H20 just not Michaels mask.
Ill invite myself to that joint circle ;-)
Omfg I NEED Happy Death Day 3 so bad FR!!! I legit just watched HDD 2U this morning for like the 50th time lol and I still love it!
Sorry but there’s no competition 😅Halloween ends is more romantic with not enough Michael and a person called Cory h20 had the second best action Michael actually had Michael good characters and a lot more Halloween ends not so much
Interesting take. I hated Ends when I first saw it but over the 2 weeks that followed I actually kinda started to love it. I definitely think that it doesn’t work as a finale of the trilogy or series overall and it should’ve taken place after Michaels death as a stand-alone spinoff of kind of exploring Michaels curse and legacy on the town of Haddonfield with Corey as the sole antagonist. But honestly Corey is the only thing about Ends that works for me and I really loved that character. But overall yeah H20 is probably the better movie. Just don’t like Michael in it and wish it had more of a fall atmosphere. Oh and more Josh Hartnett too
"Don't overcomplicate something that can be so easy" Kinda summarized the entire franchise.
Halloween has so many timelines that the next movie should just be called Michael Myers And The Multiverse Of Madness.
Hahaha I’d watch the hell out of that
I also find it hard to articulate how I feel about "Ends." Both of these films have charm, but I'd have to choose "Ends." I feel it took itself more seriously. Paul Brad Logan, who wrote the "Ends" novel, described the scene with Corey as, "Michael seeing the evil in Corey", and Corey basically giving in to "the evil." I'm paraphrasing, but that's pretty much how he said it. Messy, yes, but I liked it. Unfortunately, not as much as I had anticipated, but it was a good time watching. H20 has charm as well, but just felt like a cash grab.
Honestly, while watching Ends, I kept thinking to myself that it was really interesting that they went this specific route. I wasn't a huge fan of the dialogue and a lot of things didn't make sense. It doesn't fit into this trilogy they were building whatsoever but I have a feeling that the story they were trying to tell could have been a great separate movie. Showing how evil is formed and the transfer of power. I thought it was pretty interesting but it was bogged down by expectations for something else. I was expecting something completely different going into this movie. Definitely would have liked this take if it came out at a different time. They couldn't go all out with Corey because they had to include the end fight with Michael and Laurie. Again, I thought it was a really cool concept for the franchise but it just should not have been used as the ending to this trilogy.
I would for them rerelease H20 with the new John carpenter soundtracks and adjust the lighting so Michael better lite and if possible attempt to fix the mask(s) ☮️❤️☮️
Btw, if you add Nick Castle and Rachel from H4&5 you got yourself the perfect joint smokin nightmare team lmfao 🔥🔥🔥
I remember seeing the poster for Halloween Resurrection in 2002 outside of a movie theater. I was 10 and terrified of it 0.0!
I still laugh every time I see the kid Corey was babysitting bounce after he falls to his death.
Yep. I'm going to Hell.
Everyday is Samhain, Baby! |>
H20 has problems but sadly more satisfying than what we got in recent. This fight built up for years just felt like an afterthought 😩
I'm curious , How did you feel about Rob Zombies Halloween movies.
I have to be honest...I like Ends much better...H20 felt like a Hallmark movie. Too slick...
I would like to see a Friday part 5 comparison with ends
lmao. love that intro.. h20 all day for me..
Anyone ever notice some of the 1996 Scream score is used in H20???
I did make a note that at one point the score sounded exactly the same hahaha
Yeah they used some of Marco Beltrami’s score from Scream, Scream 2, and Mimic
@@HauntedHippie only a movie buff can notice these sort of things haha 😂 , glad you noticed too! 😎
I enjoy both, but I give the edge to H20 based on the baddassey of Laurie/Carrie Tate and the ending
She's haunted and a hippie? Subscribed!
16:28 brilliant, got to love Carpenter :D
Very good video. Thanks to Haunted hippie beautiful as ever. In this video she reminds me so much of Mary Elizabeth Winstead of Death proof. Voice included.
Love H20 one of the best and Jamie Lee Curtis is brilliant ❤
This is hard for me because if Ends was more in line with H20 where Michael and Laurie were centric to the story, Ends would win by miles but H20 at least kept the story intact.
The Alice Cooper ref lmao
You and Glenn Danzig are the only ones who pronounce it the right way.
H20 just had better written scenes / dialogue, such as the scene in the restaurant where she orders a 2nd glass of Chardonnay. It’s brilliant.
1. The Laurie character is better written, acted and just makes more sense
2. The relationship with her son, John, is better written than with the daughter in 2018 (and the chemistry between Jamie Lee Curtis/Josh Hartnett is better than Jamie Lee Curtis/Judy Greer) - the scene in the kitchen with John and also when he's caught outside of the school and she yells at him is just so well written/acted.
3. The aforementioned scene in the restaurant, along with her nightmare scene at the start delicately gives us insight into her issues without feeling the need to ram it down our throats like in 2018.
4. You still have the brother/sister relationship between Michael and Laurie so it makes sense that she'd still feel that Michael was going to try and come after her/her son. Whereas in the 2018 movie there is no motive and no real reason why Laurie has feared Michael for 40 years or brought up her child to fear him.
5. Having Janet Leigh in the H20 movie and the interactions between her and Jamie Lee is brilliant.
6. I prefer what they did with the Marion Chambers character in H20. I thought her kill scene was done pretty well and I really enjoy that opening.
7. That final showdown between Laurie and Michael and THAT ending is just 10/10. The ending we get in 2018 is 'fine' but the fact we are meant to believe she had built a trap for Michael under her kitchen counter was just ridiculous and completely took me out of the 'grounded' approach they were aiming for with these new movies.
Ends Cory, H20 NO Cory WINNER H20
The Halloween comics say that Halloween H20 takes place in the second timeline and the third timeline.
Add me to that blunt rotation!
Imagine if Corey was just the Oscar character in 2018. Planted those seeds where he has interest in her, she denies at first but then they come around after their grief. Idk just making a throw away character a little more interesting without having to make an entire movie about him.
I don't think the ups and downs of a movie's production necessarily says anything about its quality. Some classic movies had epically troubled productions. The Wizard of Oz had several directors and changed screenwriters 20 times. Casablanca was essentially made by committee with the directing and screenwriting roles shifting back and forth. Jaws was a movie about a mechanical shark that rarely worked. Perhaps the champ: Apocalypse Now was supposed to be filmed in 5 months, but took a year, during which a typhoon destroyed the sets, the lead actor had a heart attack and the director attempted suicide.
It’s not always the cause of a bad film, a lot of horror movies like TCM were absolute hell to shoot. But I think it certainly doesn’t help
I'd give H20 the win way better cinematography, best ending in the older movies imo and generally more entertaining
I'm at 0:40 and I'm saying Ends is better. No questions asked. Better story, better mask, better music, better fight. H20 is just a terrible Scream rip off. They should’ve made The Two Faces Of Evil script instead. I love the Thorn timeline. I will say the H20 ending is still satisfying.
Omggg coming back in 40
Can't believe a girl this hot likes classic horror movies. I can't get my girlfriend to enjoy the 70's last house on the left without bitching about the dialogue of the two main girls being to fake lololol. I'm slowly getting her to come around though. Big ups to you though been watching your comparisons of remakes vs classic and I like how you actually made me rethink some of my views on remakes which 9/10 times are not as good as the original but you make some good observations.
H20 nails the eerie feel of the original. The opening is a killer setup and throwback. ENDS is like a John Hughes movie. It's fine as a standalone movie. But even with its flaws H20 is a straight up legit Halloween film.
I agree with you and get video
I uh, I actually really liked Ends, but I understand why a lot of people didn't like it.
I personally think Corey should've killed Michael when he took the mask to enforce the theme of evil never dying and taking a new shape.
I love your voice
i felt like Halloween H20 was a great and fitting ending for the series. I loved Halloween 2018, it was so good and artful but Halloween Ends was off the rails. Ends wasnt bad imo but the depature wasnt what I prefer compared to H20
Jordan Poole is the backup point guard for the Golden State Warriors (Carpenter has spoken about his love for the team, so he may have deliberately meant Poole after all, not Peele!)
Probably hahah but then the interviewer went on to correct him and say Peele and then carpenter didn’t respond to that so I have no idea lol
