Thank you very much for reacting to my suggestion !!! sorry to see you a year late !!! Thank you very much again, it is my favorite song on this album!
Great reaction. The "Emerald Sword Saga", created by the band, took five albums to tell the whole story (Legendary Tales, Symphony of Enchanted Lands, Dawn of Victory, Rain of a Thousand Flames and Power of the Dragonflame). That's why it's hard to pick a song from them and try to interpret the lyrics.
To answer the question you didn't really ask but kind of did: the band changed name from Rhapsody to Rhapsody of Fire following the release of their sixth album, Symphony of Enchanted Lands II in 2004. Apparently, there were legal issues with a peer-to-peer music sharing service called RealPlayer Rhapsody, so they had to change their name. It's really super dumb, but what can you do. I only ever knew them after the name change, so it's nothing more than a curiosity to me, but a lot of older fans are/were actually super annoyed. Also, great reaction once again. Good song as well, though not my favourite from them. While I like how varied it is, I feel the cohesiveness of the song suffers a bit from all the start-stop going on throughout. I personally rate Symphony of Enchanted Lands a little lower than most people, I think, mainly because I feel that many songs on that album have that problem. My favourite of their songs would probably have to be the first 12 minutes of Gargoyles, Angels of Darkness - it descends into a lot of spoken word at the end, but the first 12 minutes are a 10/10 for me.
Love it! Thanks for the info man, appreciated! And I just got back from a road trip where we listened to A LOT of these guys, and I have to say that I love the spoken word segments even though they can be super cheesy haha.
You need to follow all the songs of the first 3 albums in order to get all the story. Every song its a continium of the same history. And the its a 3 album trilogy.
Great album, believe it or not, this is (imo) one of the lesser songs on the album. I mean it's fantastic ofc but that only speaks to the greatness of this album *×Eternal Glory* (pay attention to the drum patterns in this one, they switch... Alot, there are also trumpets, organs, flutes, strings, harps and some medieval "keytar" instrument I don't remember the name of, in this song) *×Beyond the gates of infinity* *×Riding the winds of Eternity* (honorable mention to Wisdom of the Kings for the trumpets alone) Same album Check them out
@@JuniioMusic thanks man! .... Your reactions are awesome... I hope u react more to this amazing band.... I suggest u react to Symphony Of Enchanted Lands.... And good luck man 👏
First of all, this is a beautifully recorded number. The intro struck me as being reminiscent of the Classical-Romantic transitional era (late 18th-early 19th century). It was very interesting and well done, although the mixing of classical and rock is always an uneasy one, imho. (Like eating chocolate and drinking beer together, which isn't bad but seems a little unnatural, kind of like unconsummated cousin lust.) The spoken word section struck me as being a little corny, tbh. (Sorry.) Whoever wrote this should consider doing a straight classical-style piece, as they have a wonderful melodic sense and good compositional skill. As far as your sickness goes, steam that bastard out of there! Get a big blanket and a humidifier. Park yourself and the humidifier under the blanket, turn the humidifier on full blast, and sweat those viruses out. Interestingly, my doctor recommends your videos for *my* health. He said, "If you don't stay in touch with smart, quick-witted younger people, you'll be even more of a dried up, repugnant, useless husk of superannuated flesh than you already are." He then spat in contempt. So who am I to argue?
I love this song, but i think the Re-recorded version of it improves a lot the narration and the chores, and obviously more clean (20 years between both songs ofc) but it's also a good way to introduce you the their new singer.
Hope you'll do some more Friday Filth some time! really wanna see you react to some Powerviolence like Charles Bronson - Youth Attack or No Comment - Downsided.
This album needs listen to from start to finish, feels weird taking a song off by itself! One of my favourite albums of all time... Just epic!!
Don't worry, I have listened to the album in it's entirety since this video!

ugh that's so cool. Emerald Sword has to be one of the greatest power metal songs of all time.
I have the original CD. This is one of their best songs. Love Staropoli's keys and orchestral arrangements.
This song was my fave from this albums for years. A tribute to the great Vivaldi. ♥

better to be a dried up useless husk on the outside than the inside.
Whaat. Someone doing reaction on Rhapsody song.
Check out Triumph or Agony, its Imo their best album.
you gotta hear the whole album. it tells a story.

You must react
Rhapsody of fire - kiss of life
It's my favorite and so epic and masterpiece 🔥
Hope you'll do some more Friday Filth some time! really wanna see you react to some Powerviolence like Charles Bronson - Youth Attack or No Comment - Downsided.
For sure man, thanks for the suggestion!
The pronountiation is wrong because they are italian 😂 when i found out my mind was blown
Check out Kamelot if you haven't.
"Karma" is a friggin godsend
Roy-era Kamelot is one of my fav symphonic metal bands of all time. It's the band that got me into the genre!
Listen to the album called Triumph Or Agony by Rhapsody Of Fire it"s epic.
This sounds like Vivaldi...
Could you react to Christian Death - Romeo's Distress
I'll add it to the list!
The only part which fucks me up are the spoken cringy parts in Power Metal. The rest of the song was perfect
