    I worked for a Cat dealer for 35 1/2 years and we would do whatever it took to take care of customers in a fair manner like your team at Milton Cat did for you. I feel like it is Cat’s best kept secret and if people knew what you now know, they would consider Cat far more often. I’m glad to hear the result of this video! I wish you the best success in your company! By the way - Milton Cat is a great Cat dealer! They are the standard in selling and servicing Cat compact equipment!

    I'm with you on CAT machines. I believe as you do, buy new or like new. Like a mechanic told me. "You can make payments or pay repair bills, up to you." Bet you're going to love that 299! When my 259 goes down I plan to go up to at least the 289...

    I bought two of the 259D3 and one of them did the same thing, Warren CAT had it 13 months, they removed everything related to hydraulics and replaced everything. They had to rebuild my CIMAF Mulcher, Extreme Deck Mower, Grapple, and CAT SG36 Stump Grinder. Total cost well over $100,000 and for 13 months they loaned me a 299. I had to rent a forestry head from them but other than that they covered 100%.
    Machine was taken down to the frame by Boe and his crew then rebuilt.
    My machine had 27 hours when it died.

      Isn’t that crazy

      Yes! I wanted a new machine, but I bought through a bank rather than CAT so they couldn’t swap the serial numbers with the bank.
      I’m ordering two of the new 265 Skid Steers and trading the 259D3s next week, I’ll be buying through CAT this time!
      They stood behind the product 100%! I can honestly say Warren CAT is reputable and that is the reason I’ll buy from them again.
      I’ve heard of many people who have issues with Kabota, ASV, Bobcat and they’ve not stood by their product.

    I just found your video as I wait on my new Cat 259 to be delivered. I had a Kubota svl90 that I bought new, blow a main pump after I used it for approximately 300 hours. It was out of warranty due to purchase date. Kubota sure doesn't stand behind their product like I thought they would. No one can tell me a major pump failure after 200 too 300 hours is normal. Oh well that's my last Kubota!

      We have a good Kubota dealer and a good cat dealer. Check out my 259 video from last year where I sold it at 300 hours because the pump went and it was a $25,000 warranty claim

      @@VTOutdoorServices When I went into my Kubota dealer after it self destructed with super low hours, the owner told me I should have used it more. Really! I understand that if a Kubota only lasts a few hounded hours than by putting hours on the machine quicker would have resulted in a in warranty fix but, I thought I was buying a quality machine up front and by following the maintenance schedule it would last. WRONG!

      That’s a bummer. I’d have taken it up the chain to the regional rep. That sucks

      @@VTOutdoorServices And I did. And then to his boss. I believe Kubota's position is that once the machine in out of warranty due to time you are SOL. The funny thing is I don't remember the machine selling with a expiration date or "best if used by label".

    How much did the high flow cost to add? I have a new Deere and I wanted high flow added by the dealer and they told me it would be cheaper to trade it back in.

    • @VTOutdoorServices
      @VTOutdoorServices  2 года назад +1

      I really don’t know. At the time the machine was 72 with high flow. I imagine 2500-3500? Sorry I don’t have a better answer

      I've always heard that high flow cannot be added to CAT skid steers. Is that not true?

      @VTOutdoorServices  2 года назад +2

      @@ryanc5521 from what I understand, some can and some cant. The 259 could, but the inbound 279's can't, so we went with the 259
