"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." - Muhammad Ali "Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth." -Mike Tyson "It's normal." - Anderson Silva
It's gonna be scary when he opens up a gym in Brazil like he's planning .. All those damn Brazilian fighters our good enough as it is , now there gonna have Anderson training and teaching them lol
x33mmm its not over yet, unless he wants to finish his career like that. (9 months from now and he is back training(if he wants to) and weidman wont keep that belt for a long time, that belt is gonna spin around.
grapla Yep definitely but not to English Speaking Students ha ha... Maybe for Portuguese Speakers he will be a Great Coach because so much is LOST in Translation otherwise..
Ray Staff I understood what he meant perfectly though. I mean sometimes it's a good thing to have to pay more attention to body language and he's talking nice and slow and demonstrating. I don't think there'd be a fighter alive who wouldn't love to have some coaching from Silva.
***** he did not "try to be cocky" he played mind games to psych Chris out( which was and always will be a smart move ). unfortunately Chris did his homework.
***** Ok, look. Weidman is a great fighter. Just take a look for a moment, the guys he fought and HOW he won. Maia? what? suffered with the guy. Munoz? with a depression. There's no way in hell Weidman would've won that fight if Anderson wasn't so stupid. That may have been the worst Anderson fight, ever. He wasn't clever or intelligent. He kept NOT being aggressive, which was very weird, and he kept asking for Weidman to attack him. Hence, why people believe that fight was only won so that Weidman could rebuild his home. I'm NOT saying that I believe this, Weidman won fair and square, and if Anderson was a jackass, it's his problem. But the second fight become clear. Weidman got ONE punch right. The rest of the first round was Anderson punishing him FROM THE GROUND. He was not on top! He was on defensive, yet, at the final of the first round, Anderson wasn't even sweat, while Weidman had blood all over his face and a broken nose. Weidman wouldn't last another round, fortunately for him, Anderson broke his leg. That fight he was not kidding, and it became very very clear. Hence, again, why Weidman said to Joe after the fight that "no, i still think that people doubt me, this was not a convincing winning." Simple as that.
Dimitri Moreira dude are u dumb weidman dominated the first round and almost knocked out the spider again but then silva survived somehow and then broke his leg...im a anderson silva fan believe me but hes just not the same silva that he used to be for example his last two fights were against sonnen first fight against sonnen he barely and amazingly pulled off a last second triangle choke then the rematch he gets takin down again easily in the first round again 2nd round sonnen got scared and stopped throwing punches then the spider knocked him out but my point is those fights were nothing like his past fights with amazing front kick knockouts to making people look stupid af hes just getting old his body isnt as young as it was his time is over in my opinion silva would have lost even if he didnt break his leg 1 because wiedman was not scared of him at all and thats silvas number one defense the mind games ...anyway weidman beat the spider twice no matter how you look at it sure he could have done this or that but he didnt he lost his times over with but he is still a legend and the goat of mma
The black guy towards the end knew how to communicate with Silva well - there's a certain way of helping others to speak a language by asking more questions, it's cool to see when people understand that, and he got his question answered.
Dude, id LOVE to be tought by anderson silva like this.. even if for a few minutes.. its an honor and i already learned plenty from this video.. even tho its hard to explain things in english i dont give a flying shit basket. id hire a translator to come and translate everything..
Thanks for posting this! Great to see a different side of Anderson, he should have loads of fighters going to his gym when he retires. I can't wait for the rematch! Chris and Anderson are both very humble fighters and I honestly don't care who wins. Lots of fun watching two top level guys compete.
I hope Silva wins, i mean who dosnt wanna see the greatest succeed? :) If Ali was still fighting i would cheer for him as well :) There's just some sort of mystical aura around those guys with their styles and techniques that i dont see on Weidman. I think Weidman is good, but i dont see him defending his belt more than 3 times and thats if he passes Silva again.
Everyone knows Anderson is the most skilled and cerebral combatant. This video is good because it reminds us of that. No one else will say this but I think anderson's age is catching up to him, which is ok because we've seen the best out of him. I say let him leave from being a competitor and teach the young combatants coming up so that they too will become just as skilled and cerebral as he is. This will make MMA a more beautiful sport.
@@Ahbusicarii12 I wouldn't expect that especially Dagestani's are making a name in MMA since the rise of Khabib. Not that I am very big fan of them or something. But They're a force to be reckoned with especially if they came from Abdulmanap. Some of them are such impressive strikers at the same time very elite grapplers. MMA is very stacked compared to the days of Anderson Silva
6:05 that's why for single leg, head inside :) head outside only for double leg. anyways, what an amazing man. one of the toppest fighter in the world of MMA but very humble and friendly
Great to see the legand looking happy he looks like hes in a good place and hopefully tat injury is gone and wen he throes a leg kick it doesn't go again
Anderson admits his style is not proper technique. It's the mma version of Roy Jones Jr. Drop your hands and flow from angles your opponents cannot expect. The speed to dodge punches is essential. Most guys just aren't that quick.
great analogy sir... but because of awkwardness and lack of Backbone which is the "basics" once pass their youth and prime means the beginning of the struggle.
That last one from the clinch when he brings his arms inside for Koshinage (hip-throw) we do this in Aikido funnily enough i was doing this early 1980's. Lots o good stuff that people such as Anderson and others know, is done in aikido believe it or not except the muay thai clinch behind the head we just have two arm front choke around the throat. Love Anderson to bits.
Because he's not repeatedly being asked the same questions by reporters and interviewers, and he's actually talking about stuff that he enjoys talking about.
The last clinch technique that he only shows once at the end of a video, that is just genius! It combines all the techniques, albeit requiring abit of strength.
If you look closely he is "too" far to throw knees... I mean you have to be closer when you get that grip on the neck.. your body has to be closer to his to throw effective knee strikes..and he has another arm to push upcoming knees back down, i hope i explained it close enough so you can understand.. greetings

Pound for pound one of the best fighters in the history of MMA. In his prime, he was untouchable. There was some change in his fighting style prior to him breaking his leg. I think messing around with Steven Segal's BS aikido, got him messed up. I think he came back to his senses now. I train in Muay Thai, and would to get a class from him.
BenRangel i thought he was just pointing out that he didn't react to it with his hands at all like he does with punches. and saying that vitor did that same thing.
Interviewer: Anderson, how do you feel about a faint, 1 3 5 7 attack and a stunt block check counter to a single leg with a 4 5 6 strike? Silva: Oh, that's normal.
+Marcus Hendrix he said if i would teach it to you (or anyone) i would tell you to keep hands up but he likes to moves and counter easier to evade the punches that way. But having hands down is good also like dominick Cruz does. He crouches very often makes him blades to jabs and hooks an dmake him look closer then he really is . makes leaning back posible also
He still has a mystique around him, even if he comes up to you smiling and gives you a hug, when you watch a highlight reel of his MMA career you still wonder about him...

That was quick response.
21. I know, I'm not really old.
+St KRU hahahahaha I laughed so hard bro. Anderson Silva has great MMA skills but his english is so fucking bad u know?
"I'm a black belt in BJJ, I'm a black man."
"I'm spiderman, man"
regardless of what you think or feel about The Spider. You can't lie and say you wouldn't take lessons from him
Man this was amazing to watch.

Ayeeeee the boy
YOOO MARTIALL!!!
He is a superb teacher! He is practical and makes everything easy to understand.
""If I teach you, always up your hands!"

Gotta love Anderson.
i love that Silva is improving his english skills
He's always spoken english, he just doesn't want to..
Juan Pancho
He got way better in the last years.
"I black belt..I black man"!! LMAO
The goat
by the way this is one bloody useful and free 12 minute lesson. thanks so much!
+Rizal Djohan Classic right there.
You can tell Spider is hesitant to let go these tips, champion mentality...Crazy how much has to be learned in mma.
Dude, Verhooven is a freakin GIANT.
Yeah he is
I love watching Anderson and Fedor teach techniques
His knowledge and technique is so impressive and he does a great job teaching it, especially since it is in English and not Portuguese.
silva's the chillest dude in ufc. one of the reasons why he's one of the most deadly also.

@x33mmm man this comment didn't age well
what is your favorite jiu jitsu top move... anderson silva stands up lolol this is the best jiu jitsu top move
I see a future coach
true that, his moves are really practical and easy to understand.

Yes. that was excellent ! His English has come a long way too. He's really become quite personable over the past few years. Awesome coaching !
grapla Does anyone know what the technique at 3:25 is called ?
The smartest UFC fighter in the game.
ye so smart he tried to be cocky and got knocked the fuck out
*****
he did not "try to be cocky" he played mind games to psych Chris out( which was and always will be a smart move ). unfortunately Chris did his homework.

Dimitri Moreira well said.
Most amazing martial artist out there. Doesn't matter how it ended, Silva is the Dragon!

how bad ass is it the Anderson is telling fucking Rico Verhoeven whats up!!
One of the gratest fighters in history also seems like a really nice guy...We will miss you Anderson!
Its awesome to see Anderson teaching Rico some things
Everyone knows Anderson is the most skilled and cerebral combatant. This video is good because it reminds us of that.

Yea (Anderson silva voice)

This was really cool. I could watch these all day.lol
Anderson is a God amongst men. He will be taking his title back on December 28th. 10pm est, 7pm pst and only on PPV.
His perspective on three different moves from three different fights was very informative I love videos like this.
6:05 that's why for single leg, head inside :) head outside only for double leg.
anyways, what an amazing man. one of the toppest fighter in the world of MMA but very humble and friendly
no even now u dont shoot a double with the leg on the outside a lot of wrestler still make that mistake during their transition into mma
Great to see the legand looking happy he looks like hes in a good place and hopefully tat injury is gone and wen he throes a leg kick it doesn't go again
Anderson Silva will always be the Champion to me. Live the skill and the Man. Get well my Brother.
silva is a great champion and a great man
he is the best!
great personality miss him
Rico Verhoeven asking the first question! Also I see the guy from the London Real podcast in the background.
i like rico great kickboxer and very strong
Anderson admits his style is not proper technique. It's the mma version of Roy Jones Jr. Drop your hands and flow from angles your opponents cannot expect. The speed to dodge punches is essential. Most guys just aren't that quick.
great analogy sir... but because of awkwardness and lack of Backbone which is the "basics" once pass their youth and prime means the beginning of the struggle.
Damn ! Anderson Silva dropped some knowledge here !!
That last one from the clinch when he brings his arms inside for Koshinage (hip-throw) we do this in Aikido funnily enough i was doing this early 1980's. I think you mean Judo
Aikido is too fake.
No aikido. People don't know or see half.
Colin Morgan All I see is men wanting to roll around. Dude, I tried Aikido on my big buddy and he ain't moving. Just saying.
haha yes that is what a lot of people think. Not sure how long you practiced for though?
All I know is that it doesn't work. Only certain moves work. If it works, it would be in the UFC. A lot of people practice it.
Because he's not repeatedly being asked the same questions by reporters and interviewers, and he's actually talking about stuff that he enjoys talking about.
I love this guy so much hes so nice and respectful andhes so smart and such a killer
Anderson for TUF
ANDERSON vs DIAZ get hype!
Good stuff. Anderson your my fav fighter.
Great video, nice to see Anderson has humble himself a bit. He s also a god teacher.
Wow, Silva is a great instructor too, hope he will be training some future champs.
The Master.. Awesome video thanks for sharing
Anderson silva and fedor emilianenko are forever immortal for me and I dont care who comes with time those to will forever be the greatest.
He is still and allways will be the best anderson silva!
The last clinch technique that he only shows once at the end of a video, that is just genius! It combines all the techniques, albeit requiring abit of strength.
Rico Verhoeven "The King of Kickboxing" 💪🏻👍🏻
So much technical stuff you need to know. Blow's my mind.
his english improved so much. Proud of him.
I knew I recognized Verhoeven. Two of my favorites two legends
Just imagine how great this seminar would have been if Anderson had fluent English.
the last move that Anderson shows to breake the clinch is awesome!
Amazing how he taught these guys something new with in a hour and correcting them on what they thought they knew.
Very good Mister Anderson Silva
hes so technical and bright when it comes to fighting
his distance control and timing coupled with his mastered head movement. He can keep his hands low as much as he wants.
'i'm black belt!' 8:23 - hahah, Anderson is hilarious. Sort of reminded me of my dad trying to act cool lmao I love it.
+Jaikay1 He says "I black belt,.... I black man!"
10:56 I don't get it how you won't take knee strikes in that defence. Can anybody please explain ?
If you look closely he is "too" far to throw knees... I mean you have to be closer when you get that grip on the neck.. your body has to be closer to his to throw effective knee strikes..and he has another arm to push upcoming knees back down, i hope i explained it close enough so you can understand.. greetings
Yeah I saw the guys from London Real with the mono pod at 1:15. I hope there is a London real with anderson
+GroundandPoundTV1 What's the name of this great, "epic" track at the beggining and the end of the video?
Great video, great guy.
"Ppl say I es done in UFC -- is normal-- trust me, chris weidman best in big sport, UFC -- okay? -- but I back now -- trust me, I beat chrees weidman -- I steel ready to fight UFC -- I broke my leg, but trust me, ees normal -- I wont fight Machida but trust me, thats it." -- Anderson Silva
I fucking love anderson silva. Man i wish i could meet him one day id be so happy!
Ich liebe den Kerl, Anderson ist mit abstand der beste den es jemals gab.
one and only Anderson Silva, simply the best mma fighter of all the time.
Haha "I'm Spider-Man Man!" Lol
I guess its good that it's not a press conference or we would need a translator
I can tell A Silva is super comfortable within himself.
this is the most ive heard anderson talk
3:45 I wonder what Anderson was thinking 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The knowledge of combatives this guy has is amazing.
Love that guy! Such a nice dude and so lethal.
Amazing!
Anderson volta a lutar meu irmão, um abraço
Love this dude..legend
I kinda gained some respect for him as a person in this one. Respect for him as a fighter? That's a given.
"I'm spider man" lol

The front kick thing with Vitor was hard to understan. What was Silva's conclusion?
To move
BenRangel grapla Does anyone know what the technique at 3:25 is called ?
Nathan Ball's First Channel i dont know if theres a name for it. i think its just a higher guard? or a specific guard for strike defense
BenRangel i thought he was just pointing out that he didn't react to it with his hands at all like he does with punches. and saying that vitor did that same thing.
BenRangel I think he was trying to say that distance when using a front kick is important in order for the kick to work.
Is that Brian from London Real standing at the back
Interviewer: Anderson, how do you feel about a faint, 1 3 5 7 attack and a stunt block check counter to a single leg with a 4 5 6 strike?
Silva: Oh, that's normal.
Teacher Spider 'The Best'
THANK YOU that was great
One of the True Mystical fighters

The spider and Roy Jones jr are the goats of mma and boxing. Just my humble opinion. Most natural fighters ever.
Did he say he uses a strobe light to train?
Where the part Anderson show everyone how to use peds ?
Bobilator Realitywall Right after the video, when they all went into the restroom.
Legend!
lolol holy cow, you really get an idea of how good he really is when you hear him teach.
I really like the MTC throw
anderson taught me today.
awesome things
He looks a really good teacher.
He's the most successful MMA fighter of all time...i'd like to see him coach an ultimate fighter.
He still has a mystique around him, even if he comes up to you smiling and gives you a hug, when you watch a highlight reel of his MMA career you still wonder about him...
is this in holland or something? AVG height looks like its 6'4.
QUE VIDEO TOSCO ANDERSON SILVA E DO BRASIL
