Retirement becomes truly fulfilling when you possess two essential elements: ample financial resources and a meaningful purpose in life. Make prudent investment choices to secure good returns and ensure a comfortable retirement.

Rising prices have affected my intention of retiring at 62, working part-time, and building my savings. I'm worried about whether individuals who weathered the 2008 financial crisis found it less challenging than my current situation. The stock market's volatility, coupled with a reduced income, is making me anxious about having enough for retirement.

I visited Myrtle Beach a few years ago, and I agree-it’s more than just a beach town! The local food scene and activities were amazing. Definitely a great place to consider for retirement!

Thanks for sharing your observations. The Myrtle Beach Area features the largest county in the state of SC. There are many reasons the area is growing, but lower cost of living, mild weather and plethora of beaches are what tends to draw people in, especially retirees.

Hey Jerry! What part of Myrtle Beach did you show in your video that had beach front homes, a highway, and then other homes that were more elevated but with a beach view? I would love something like that! Being on the beach scares the stuff out of me but to have the view and be elevated seems perfect to me. Would love to know where that is and was thinking maybe it's Beach Drive area in N. Myrtle Beach but not sure.

Truly love your videos. but some of the video footage obviously is not anywhere around the places you are describing. I live in Summerville/ Charleston and there are no mountains around and certainly not the U.S.C in Columbia is surely not the University of Southern California .

That’s not a photo of a South Carolina city, and where did you get that Myrtle Beach’s “sheer size” makes it unlike anywhere else in South Carolina? It’s in the state’s fourth largest metro and is the 11th largest municipality. If you can afford it, the experience of living in Charleston is second to none in SC.

At 4:57, the river is called Ca-taw-ba, not Cat-a-wa-ba. You’ve got one too many A’s in your pronunciation there. LOL

Born and raised in major cities, but want to retire in Somerville, Greenville or Columbia soon. Heard a city guy may not adjust well in the Southern State (SC) because it's slow pace and full of critters. What's your take on it? Pros\Cons?

It is like moving to another country 😂, different bugs you have never seen before everywhere. Also lots of snakes and alligators add to it if you are not used to having them around. The heat and humidity in the summer is dreadful. However, the rest of the year is wonderful. South Carolina still has the best prices if you want to live closer to the ocean.

Any city in the United States will differ from a town in another state. There is a lot to be said about Southern living, though! That is one of the main reasons we find so many people moving south. If you have a particular town you would like to talk about, I can hook you up with the local expert, and they can give you a ton of super helpful info. Our office number is 843-839-9870, just let us know which town and we will connect you together. Talk soon!
