RevZilla That’s exactly what I do and I have to say I am totally satisfied from my purchase. I also combine the Abus system to a Granite anchor with an Oxford alarm lock and that makes me sleep pretty careless.
@tasteegold777 The diameter of the rotors doesn't matter in relation to this product. The dimension that counts is the thickness. As long as you have slots or holes in your rotors, there shouldn't be any problem installing one of these bad boys.
Don't think this lock is design for using on brake disc with aluminum carrier. At 0:05, just make 2 cuts on the aluminum rotor carrier with a hand tool and there is enough room to work the lock out, as the lock's back piece has much smaller diameter than the front piece. I can see its value in a chain and lock combo. But as a standalone disk lock, definitely no.
You have back rotor which is one piece steel :) Anyway cordless angle grinders are cheap now so cutting anything in a few minutes isn't a (technical) problem.
This is a design problem among ALL motorcycle manufacturers. Why they have never created locking points on bikes is beyond me. However, this is not a design issue of the clock manufacturer.
Abus has not tested the fit of this lock with the PCX. They've only confirmed compatibility with the Detecto 7000, Trigger Alpha 335, and Element 285. -DrewZilla
Unfortunately, Abus has not verified fit for the MP3. If you are able, you can measure the gap between your brake disc and brake disc carrier. If it is at least 12mm, this should fit. -DrewZilla
I disagree. Wedges are very uncommon in practical real world attacks. Yet all it takes to remove this lock is cut through the brake disc with an angle grinder. That will always be the main weakness of brake disc locks. As for using it only in combination with the chain, generally the chain is the weakpoint anyways.
@@tHaH4x0r In the busy city center I live in everybody uses chains because the U shaped locks all get broken with wedges, because wedges make no noise and are easy to conceal compared to a frickin angle grinder, Sherlock. 😉
@@mururoa7024 Then you are not using a U-lock properly. If you put it through the wheel there is no way for a wedge to fit in between. And what city might you live in then? Because as far as I am aware this kind of attack is not very common in north/west European cities.

Hi, Does this product will fit front disc of CB500F 2015? If not then what else you recommend for my motorcycle? maybe Abus Granit Sledg 77 Web Disc Lock or this also won't fit? thanks
The Sledg is stronger than the RS1, but it does not have an alarm, so there is a tradeoff. You have to decide which features you prefer. The 8077 is basically a Sledg with alarm, and it is better than both the RS1 and the Sledg. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/abus-granit-detecto-x-plus-8077-alarm-disc-lock
If you purchase the Abus Granit Victory X-Plus 68 Chain Lock, you can use the disk lock portion separately. ~Ali

You can use these on either location. Most folks opt for front tire because it's easier to access and easier to spot before you ride. ~Ali

It is not as small as the disc lock, however, there are other chain options from Abus that will work better in a standard application.
The fact it took The Lock Picking Lawyer 2 mins to pick this indicates its an amazing lock. I think it took him 1 min to pick the lock to Fort Knox.
Thanks for the demo, just what I needed to see before purchase.
So u gonna buy a dildo for a bike
will this fit the front and rear disc indian scout sixty?
Can you use the Disc Lock part as a standard Disc lock if you buy it with the loop? or is the Pin to long?
are you sure it isn't spelled with an 'n' instead of a 'b'?
does it fit on a honda pcx 125?

Any idea if it will fit a 2017 Honda PCX in any shape or fashion please? I need this in my arsenal.

RevZilla Thank you for the reply. I guess I'll just have to see how feasible it would be to bore out one of the original disk holes. I want that lock.
Will this fit the front disc brake to my Piaggio MP3 LT?

do you know if this will fit my mt 125
Abus has not tested this lock with that bike, so we cannot confirm whether it will fit or not. -DrewZilla
Looks like it's harder to crack than the U-shaped locks which only need a wedge to break.

Yes, the Granit Victory 68 and X-Plus Chain fit your CB500F. The Slegd 77 does not fit. -DrewZilla
thanks, what will fit my CB500F 2015 front disc that is approximately the same level as Abus Granit 77 Sledg?
The Sledg is the top of the line, so if you can make it fit, that's great. -DrewZilla
even better then the detecto RS1?
Also there is a 77 sledg but with alarm?

will it fit in Dominar 400?
Abus has not confirmed fit for that bike. For it to work, your brake disc carrier needs a hole or void that is at least 14mm in diameter. -DrewZilla
3:52 what the fuck dude? hahahahhahhahhahahaha
Some Abus locks are not that good at all according to many reviews
Its not pickproof i've opened it in well under a minute..
LPL just took over 3 minutes with a pick designed for disk detainer cores.... Thus proves you a liar.
I call total B/S unless you post a video.
