    I got this one. It’s also rated very highly by the “Lock Picking Lawyer” on RUclips, and that’s a rare thing! Happy with my choice since my bikes still mine. 😜

    I use an Oxford boss or nemesis mini lock through my rear sprocket which happens to have holes cut in, this I'm sure will take a while to cut through due to the chain and sprocket being in the way and taking the rear wheel out is a more tricky process if they go that route

    • @RocketMan_Moto
      @RocketMan_Moto  5 лет назад +1

      Absolutely - although installation is a bit more awkward, it makes much more sense to fit a lock/chain to the rear wheel. Ride safe :)

    I think the lock shackle being situated on the inside is just so you can pivot the shackle around the disc for easier removal when unlocked.

    I'm between this one and a granit quick maxi. I feel the granit can be a bit more versatile, and is a bit cheaper, but the sledg 77 is apparently more secure. What do you think?

    I must say after barely two years there is inside small pin preventing the "hook" to come off. It broken in mine and Abus was not willing to replace it... disappointed. Becuase of that the whole mechnism jumps out with internal balls. Would I buy again - rather not.

    • @RocketMan_Moto
      @RocketMan_Moto  3 года назад

      That's disappointing. I have had mine for about 3 years and not encountered any problems, although I have had one or two comments similar to yours from other viewers.

      @@RocketMan_Moto I can use still but I must be careful and not to put away too much this "hook". Inside are three metal ball bearings - you can imagine me finding three metal polished little things all over the common garage - trust me, the area you think they might have rolled is x3 of your imagination suggests

    Is the yellow not a higher degree of protection its the Web version with a protection rating of 20? The rubber looks different on them seems to be loads of different types I'm in the process of trying to but one and I need one for Friday. What is the size of the gap when the pin is closed the inside distance between the pin and the body of the lock? . I stopped your video when you had the tape measure out it looked around 55mm inside am I right about that it's just so it will fit on my disk.

    I rode in England for 15 years and the last 30 in California. There are several reasons why this is preferable: better weather, canyon and coast roads where there are few cops, but one that I often forget is the greater level of honesty. I never use locks on my bikes. I use soft bags and leave stuff in them all the time. Lacking helmet locks (why did manufacturers stop fitting them?) I usually leave it on a mirror. A friend who visited UK complained about petty thieving, from bike lights up, something I had forgotten.
