I loved seeing your preparation. I picked up a few tips. I might think about the toothpaste tablets and the salt tablets next time I bikepack. Mailing stuff to a re-supply point with an enclosed pre-addressed envelope was also a good idea. Inevitably, there are always things I thought I needed to take that I end up not using. You did well to keep the weight down. I got a bit worried when you said you weren't taking a phone, only your GPS. Thanks for an excellent video with very professional production.

Thanks for the videos great insight -.....great shooting and editing in this series !!! ..BTW Im going to have a crack in 2024. and want to do a trial ride CBR to Thredbo as a test for gear set up etc
...what are some land marks roughly between Canberra to Thredbo?...

I LOVE the Brindabella region between Canberra and Adaminaby (slightly off the standard Hunt 1000 route but if you were thinking of a training ride you wouldn't be disappointed. Some tough hike-a-bike followed by fast flowing brumby territory and a steep road decent into Adaminaby for a hot meal. Make it a loop and head to Nimmitabel Pub and back to Canberra (500kms). I did this in reverse as part of the 2022 Prologue 500 event.
