Good day Rogee, great to see you and Jay team up and come up with the goods couldn't think of anyone better to hunt with than Jay, very nice country in there, some nice venison for the fridge and great to come along with you and Jay.
That looked like a very fun, exhausting, weekend! All that hiking with meat, glassing, setting up camp, tearing down camp. Those are the good kinds of tired! Now you need to go back to work to get some rest!
Another great video mate. I love Jay's rifle, that piece of drift wood for a stock makes it. The best rifles are the ones that are well used but no always. lol. Take care boys.
Another great video, thanks. Putting an over barrel suppressor on a composite barrel can affect the accuracy. I have seen this with a very nice custom built rifle from the states. Shot very accurately with a muzzle brake but the groups opened up hugely with a DPT fitted. This is different to an all steel barrel where fitting an over barrel suppressor can improve accuracy. Cheers Dave.
Another mean one bradda! Great video looked like an epic trip back to the ol block. Enjoy when you show chopping the bread (shooting the shit with the Mates) with your hunting partners too. 👍🏽🤙🏽 yeeeeew!!
That was a good size wild trout at the beginning, guess they grow big in NZ. Really look forward to a coffee and one of your videos. As always good weapons safety checks, tips on keeping flies away from the kill and just simply entertaining whilst always educational for newbies like me. What was the purpose of hanging the meat, is it just to stop it from going off, to seal the meat until you get home. Would you then cut the outer meat off when cooking ? Stay safe and respect from England.
That trout a small one for that river....the purpose of hanging the meat is to let it cool down to stop it from going off....sometimes you have cut the outer flesh off if its too hard when you get home

Hey mate Australian infantry bro here I know weapon safety is important but how come you really harp on about it? Is it a RUclips thing or something? I know when I hunt with my mates we always hunt with a round in the chamber and safe on or bolt half open... love your videos either way keep up the great work
Hey Dave, I had a mate get shot by his hunting mentor and what occurred to me is that civilian hunters 9 times out off 10 will not declared their weapon safety status to each other. Unlike in the military we would always have to clear our weapons before and after use. The idea was to make it acceptable to declare and challenge each other around weapon/rifle safety..... only 4 weeks ago another mate( a civie) after hunting had his mate jump into his ute with the rifle in the front seat barrel pointing to the floor and while driving down the main road discharged a round through the floor of the ute. My mate his young son in the back as well!!...Sooo the declaration to encourage us to challenge each other around firearms safety....ANZAC hard🤙🔶
