    Timely tips for the roaring. Heading out for my first roar. 6 days and only me and my bow. Hope I can just get one in range. Thanks for all the videos. Much appreciated. Learned a heap.

      Yeah was usually crashing and bashing around not to worried about spooking deer but yeah the odd half decent one. That one use missed was pretty good for that area a

    Awesome tips Glen...i think you are spot on with your calling tips. Mews and soft calls have proved far more successful for me than single calls especially when in the zone. Great stag to kick off 2024
    As for the rain i think it levels the playing feild in the bush and tips the odds in our favour. If you can put up with getting wet its a great time to be in the thick stuff. 5 of the last 6 sika i have shot have been in the rain.

      Cheers mate, we get asked so often by new hunters for advice hunting rutting stags, that we decided to try and offer some help. They can be such frustrating animals when anyone first starts hunting them

    Jeez the roar started early this year , a full month away from the traditional peak , but then again ,I did hear my first hee haw on 10 February this year 😮

      They seriously won't peak until mid April as per normal mate. Plenty start he-hawing during March leading up to the big dance

      Thanks mate, he's one lucky stag, a bit of a needle in a hay stack finding him now, who knows where he will rut! (We will certainly try our best, though)

      Tatonka bison 90L Works extremely well for what I do, very comfortable with a heavy load

    great video glen stags look to be in pretty good condition too so that should help alot with the rut ..nice six you shot too awesome ,,hey whats the 308 your using mate ....good luck for the roar ...im.going in for 4 days chasing reds this week so will be interesting for sure cheers

      A mate gave it to us over 10 years ago. Unfortunately, I've no idea where he got it, sorry (it's bloody handy)

      It was off the shelf from GunCity Napier, I'm not 100 percent sure if they still have that model, it's extremely nice to carry and shoot
