your "scouting" adventures are as enjoyable as your Hunting ones ! always expertly filmed , thanks for sharing that wonderful piece of Gods own. good luck for the roar.
Thank you for the video ,Personally i think it was hit low.Deer are tough and I think you will see it again over the next few months. Thanks for posting it totally enjoyed it👍
Yes a definite flinch low down on the camera. But hey we have all been through that feeling of not being able to retrieve an animal for whatever reason. Great effort thou mate ! Keep the Vids coming and roll on the roar !!
The way that stag hunched up unfortunately looked like a solid hit low just behind the rib cage. Great, you had the dog there to track. Most likely tucked up a k or so down that slope. It sucks. Glad you called it for the reality it is. Besutiful country.
On ya mate for showing the f...k ups , happens to the best. Not sure what your drop would be at 300 with 100yd zero but maybe the stag flinching was bullet going just under him . Great vid though cheers
Mate had the same a couple of weeks ago. Lined up on a nice sika and hadn’t dialled it in thinking I had. Gave it a haircut and it got away. Shit happens.
Awesome vid mate.....like u say it happens and ya gotta move on. The roars coming so i see a redemption episode coming! I didn't find my first sika stag at the time of shooting him and found his bones a year later and retrieved the head...added to the story that i will tell the generations of hunters to come. Good luck in the roar
It's fantastic for scenic shots in the mountains, amazing for zooming in on animals and kill shots. It's hopeless for filming in the bush. It's very heavy (1.4kg) and even with carbon tripod is like carrying another rifle
Another awesome hunting trip with great footage and sceneries too, a few nice deer was filem too Glenn, thanks and greetings to all,, Tony.
Cheers Tony, pleased you enjoyed as always 😀 Bring on the ROAR
Very satisfying and enjoyable trip pretty pleased with the whole experience BRB thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks mate, I really hope you are right and we do catch up with him again 👍
Nice one mate, can relate to missing a good stag! The wounds are still fresh…
We always remember the ones that get away more than the pile in the shed mate!

Cheers Wlly, hope your roar goes well too

Bloody 308 drops 12 inches at 300 yards. No solid whack after the shot either...who knows!
Hard call if it was a hit or miss but you did everything you could to try and recover it well done!
@@thegrundinis4199 100% love how BRB was so upfront. Happens to us all
Awesome quality footage. Loved the intro mate. 🍻
Cheers mate, always enjoy building an intro each year!
I've done the exact same thing, so frustrating! Great footage tho, animals looked in fantastic condition
Thanks mate, hopefully we have learned that hard lesson and won't repeat it again anytime soon 👍
Another great video guys!!! Too bad about the stag, you will get him next time.
Fingers crossed Mark, be interesting to see if he turns up on a game camera anytime soon

Cheers Ian, possibly up to 12 inch drop
Awesome video guys keep them coming really enjoyable. What breed of dogs do you have
Thanks Shaun, dogs are a mix of hairy pointers & lab!! (GWP & Hairy viszla)
Just close enough to make him absolutely crap himself and look as if he's hit👍 hope u catch up in the roar!! Cheers
Cheers Sam, I'm thinking the same as you, jumped 10 feet in the air from fright

Great to know I'm not the only Fool in the mountains Chris!!

Cheers Reuben, the roar will come around soon enough, it appears to have been a great velvet growing season over our side...fingers crossed
OK, you're forgiven. Just saw the start of day 2. Good luck.
I know the feeling 😢
We all know it right ??
Great vid, got me itching to get out there. How often do you run into other folks at the hut? Looks like you have the place to yourself on every trip
We built the hut with a good mate over 10 ago, very very lucky to hunt this spot
Great work team BRB shame about the stag. love the new intro
Cheers mate
Where is your blaze ( anti-being shot) clothing ????
Giday buddy , hay what's the zoom camera you are using ? Cheers

I reckon that stag was soft on the tops anyway. And you shouldn't have to dial for 300. Where itching to get some hard antler hunting, though I know.
Looks like a hit.
I thought so too
looks like low chest hit to me pity ya didnt find it
Bit of bad luck . It feels like shit . Next time 👌
What boring video 10:51
Its a hit
I'm still not sure Matt, gut feel is a miss, especially how much the 308 drops at 300 yards. Stag certainly jumped like a hit
