@Professor Bacon but protest can only work if people see it. And the most people see it at the anthem. I am not american but i dont think this is respectless. I think if you would show your butt or face your back to the flag, that would be a whole other case than i wouldnt support it

the guy who was in the military said that they fought for the right to kneel, and then got offended when someone wants to kneel? could someone explain this to me
Basically like Eagleschamps 2018 said. This dude is most likely a millennial and lot of millennials are very hypocritical and easily triggered. He's a punk for acting like he was going to swing on a kid
Because he's an idiot bastard with a micro penis.
Nazis have the right to march. So yes, military members fought for the right to let Nazis march. I think it’s obvious soldiers would be offended by that. Just because you have a right doesn’t mean you have to agree with the exact way it’s executed
First couple- Hi we’re with the TV show ‘what would you do’ and you FAILED 🤣🤣🤣
That sorry excuse for a Marine must've really felt big and bad threatening a teenager
I love how the guy said “I fought for your right to do that to kneel” and “you don’t get to choose what rights you fight for”. Dude was so contradicting
Typical ignorant hypocritical American
Yeah you have to be a really special kind of ignorant to not see the problem there
Those statements arent necessarily mutually exclusive, so where is the contradiction? The veteran meant to say that he went to war to protect all American's rights, regardless of his own personal beliefs. While he respects the rights that kid has as an American, he advices him to be mindful of what and how he chooses to standing for something.
It was more of a, "Just because you have a right to do something, doesn't mean you should," kind of statement than anything else... I blame poor editing on the production team's part. It's easy to see how one would misinterpret what he actually said.
@@niaferrawr5507 Stop making excuses for him. His body language and attitude tells a lot more than what he said ever could. I mean to be honest, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to interpret what he was saying. In other words, nobody needs you to clarify what he said. Because we all saw the video and heard it ourselves. Editing be damned, we all know exactly what he meant.
@@xkee2013 Ah yes- because God forbid someone be outwardly upset and offended and still be able to conduct themselves in an orderly manner. I'm not making excuses for him; there's nothing to make excuses for. He's offended and criticizing this kid's behavior. That's all there is too it.
Again, we're discussing whether or not this guy was contradictory in his argument and based solely on his words, he wasn't. Whatever people want to make of this guy's "attitude" means nothing in light of what was actually being said. If anything, this guy's attitude and body language speaks to how passionately he condemns this kid's decision, but says nothing of the argument being made. The original comment assumed that the statement, "you don't get to choose what rights you fight for," was being made toward the football player. However, when put in it's full context, the veteran was clearly referring to himself and the nature of serving in the military. Condemning and criticizing one's behavior is not the same as denying them their right to behave that way.
Fights for freedom to tell him he should not exercise his freedom. Yeah, okay. 🤦🏻♂️

UNIVERSAL SPACE EXPEDITIONER I’m not American, I’m Canadian. But I understand your point of view. I was simply acknowledging that in the US, they do have the choice to serve, so I was being respectful to that choice. I never once said it was a good choice, or that I supported it. I was just saying thanks. US soldiers also get paid dick-all. Even less if your Canadian. But someone’s gotta do it. Just because you weren’t forced to join the military, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t say thanks to those who did. At the end of the day, we’re just people, and even the most gruesome story doesn’t make up for the fact that other people may have stories of their own.
5:00 Jeez, man, take it easy...
As a veteran, any peaceful protest is the utmost respect you could give to this country. your rights are inalienable, not given by any man or god. exercising those rights is lifting this country up and showing how free wee all are.
these people have a really warped sense of honor and patriotism...
They don't really care about honor or patriotism. They just care about looking patriotic. They think being patriotic is standing and putting their hand over their hearts. If our Founding Fathers had the same mindset with the British flag, we'd still be singing "God Save The Queen" at sports matches.

The soldier was disgusting. america invades it does not defend.
louise corbett excuse you. Americans fought for our freedom from Great Britain, they fought for freedom for black people, and many more amazing things. I’m not sure if Americans have “invaded” countries. I’m honestly not sure. So either ask someone in the military or just keep negative/racist comments like yours and keep them away.
If American soldiers knew what the rest of the world thinks about the American military, they wouldn't have the same level of pride in what they do.
Which planet are you living on? You don't know about the many countries America have false flagged their way into ... and the many black people taken from Africa, abused, brutalised, humiliated, exploited, raped, murdered ... oh hold on ... that's still happening by the American police. You need to wake up and understand why America needs to work on their own problems and injustices.
Wow this just shows how divided america really is on a cultural level. It's crazy to think that a white kid kneeling for the flag in one part of the country is treated like a hero but if that same kid would do it somewhere else he would get the crap beat out of him or at least get a bunch of people over reacting for him making his own statement.

My brother was in the Marines and he agrees with kneeling. You kneel when someone is wounded. America is is wounded when there is police brutality against the place people here. Kneeling is appropriate. It's still giving respect to the flag. It's just living out country and still seeing that there are still things that need to change.

Best comment I seen all day
👌👏👏👏
I agree. Soldiers that have fought for America have been wounded, had comrades die in their arms, seen children killed, major bloodshed and have to carry that trauma for the rest of their life at the sake of making America a better place. However even with all they have done, the hate still exists within the country and kneeling, while seemingly disrespectful to the flag, is trying to extinguish that hate. People no matter what skin color they are at the end of the day all bleed the same color and all deserve equal treatment. Not just blacks, but trying to unify all the other races along with it will send a strong message and hopefully make America even better.
@@youzettasonsofdigits1639 well.said
"Were all Americans black or white."
Yeah but the white Americans as people don't go through the same daily struggle and continuing racism throughout the world that the African Americans do. "We are all Americans." was just something they said to make the black people feel wrong for standing up for their people. If you want to take a knee you take that knee. #Justburnit is a joke. And it wasn't a funny one and I am disgusted that black people are still having to go through what they are bc their blackness is beautiful. We as people need to stand up for them in as many ways possible. Help give someone a voice when they don't have one. See people and their color as them not as an object. Their color is who they are as a person, beautiful. And I'm not only talking about black and white but Latina, Indian, Native American, mixed all races. Black Lives Matter and their rights do too. Do what you believe in.

They were such disappointing marines. I have family in the military and if they acted like that I'd be disappointed af
As a white person, I cant tell you how much privilege the people saying it’s disrespectful have. So much privilege. They claim to “fight for this country” yet when someone stands up to the prejudice in this country they claim to love it’s not okay. The marine really thought he was making a point.
Olivia Woods he was libtard
No, You do not kneel to your country's flag. you don't. period. People have lost their lives for that flag so we have our freedom, Servicemen and women don't ask for much at all, But the least we can do is stand up and respect their honor for willingly laying their life down to save ours.
Bitch you dumb. You real fuckin dumb. I would explain why, but you prolly wouldn’t understand it
Yeah hes 🚮
Bacca But here’s the thing. Soldiers that are risking their lives for our freedom and for us to do as we please don’t understand the whole reason for this protest. Yes, they’ve fought for us, but now that we have some policemen who thinks attacking a specific is okay then that defeats the purpose of marines / navy / army of fighting. Basically what they’re doing is a waste of time because policemen are taking our rights away.
I would of rolled my eyes again if he threatened me like that
Thanks
kneeling has nothing to do with disrespect to military. that's a complete twist of the real reason why people are kneeling.
Yes we all know it's not directly towards military. That's for stating the obvious. The problem is the unintended consequence of kneeling for the flag is that you are disrespecting the military whether you like it or not. I'm not going to say people shouldn't be allowed to kneel because they have the right to, but I also have the right to disagree with them.
Number 1, people can protest, but on their own time and not on their employers time. Number 2, the "real" reason people are kneeling is because they are listening to this false narrative of police brutality against black men. Go look up the statistics and tell me who is killed more by police. This is something just drummed up by the left media and anyone that cannot see that is either blind or ignorant. Facts don't lie!
It's still disrespectful because they fought for that flag, for us, and for our freedom.
You kneel during it and you're a disrespectful shit. End of story. Not just to the military but to people who are fighting to give everyone a reason to stand. Not as democrats and not as republicans, but as americans. Don't tell me how it's a complete twist when Slapperdick came out wearing pig cop socks and praising Castro. The only thing more horrific was his back to back pick six interceptions to the same player on the same side of the field using the same play. That was the worst thing I've ever seen by any QB in NFL history yet because he's not on a team he's blackballed by the NFL. Give me a break.
@@jacobkrueger1920 The US military has it's own flag though, to kneel at the US National Flag isn't exactly the same thing.
“We’re all americans”. Well your people haven’t really demonstrated that over the years.
Once it comes to kneeling for the flag, NOW they want to unite us🤦🏾♂️. Where was that before?
AaminM lmao you didn’t live during the times, nor do you live in those times please stop if you don’t actually understand why slavery was a thing. Actually here’s what happened Ancient Egyptians enslaved each other and Jews, and they continue to practice slavery, and according to statistics from the FBI more white people are killed by police yet you don’t see anyone saying white lives matter, and the reality is all lives matter not white not black, red, green, purple.
賛成うん No where in this comment MENTIONED slavery, let alone EGYPTIAN slavery. Systematic racism is a thing and is still a problem, it does not matter how many caucasian lives are killed by police because an average caucasian wouldn’t and doesn’t live in fear or are stripped of opportunities because of their race. Wealth is a different argument but to decipher off of colour; systematic racism exists. To not have a prejudice used against them and be discriminated for a mere fact they can’t change.
賛成うん you’re correct ALL lives do matter but thats not the fucking case. Black lives matter is a protest in equality, by stating ALL lives matter goes back to ignoring the problem and original protest in the first place. What do you solve and fix / gain by stating all lives matter? does society forget the stereotypes they implicated or racial prejudice? no by saying all lives matter you in hindsight simply are asking to forget protest and deeming it as not important.
Tina Le BLM isn’t about equality have you ever seen them bring up anything about white people dying to police, na it’s usually bullshit they pick up on and feed to the gullible
Tina Le in the comment it’s implied that it feels like the times again and now they’re trying to unite us it’s actually stupid how you people think the flag stands for the president or the police, it’s about the military do some research.
Ok but like- do coaches take their players out to diners regularly??
i was thinking this too lol
Supporting the freedom to kneel is not the same as supporting kneeling or the person doing it. You can be totally against kneeling and the person doing it.
I completely agree. I support the persons right to kneel but I’m against doing so personally.
I am from Europe, so maybe I don´t get it, but how on earth can you insult a flag? And why is kneeling down while the anthem is playing an insult to the military? Can someone please explain that, because in my opinion they don´t hurt anyone by kneeling down so just let them do it if they think that´s a good way to express their opinion and protest.
It's a false narrative made up to continue to divide people. And it's working, unfortunately. I personally don't believe taking a knee is disrespectful to the flag or soldiers. It's an action meant to bring attention to systemic racism in the US, but there are many people who want to distract from the true cause and make people focus on so-called "disrespect." Also, for every soldier who says they are offended by those who take a knee, there's another who supports it. My brother and both grandfathers all served in the military and support this protest 100%
That awkward moment when military NFL players also kneel.
Read the comments.
It's just childish people wanting unnecessary drama.
Also they don't complain when people wear the flag as underwears and wipe their ass with it, but peaceful kneeling offended 70% of the whites in America?
Lukas ja I don’t think that’s it’s disrespectful but here when you say the pledge of allegiance you’re basically pledging your loyalty to America I believe that’s what the pledge of allegiance means and I heard when you become a citizen of America but you’re from another country let’s say like England for example you would have to denounce your queen so in reality the symbolism of the pledge of allegiance is a big deal people think it’s disrespectful because they are protesting against their own country in a way but I don’t think it’s disrespectful because they’re kneeling if they wanted to they could go crazy on that field and do all kinds of things during the national anthem but they don’t because they kneel to show respect to those who care and not to distract from them pledging allegiance to their country they kneel because they are basically saying why show love to a country that doesn’t love minorities even if they are citizens of the country a lot of people choose to act as if racism isn’t a problem anymore and out of what I’ve seen it’s only been people who aren’t affected by it they wouldn’t have to kneel if we just owned up to the fact that racism is a problem that needs to be fixed but we aren’t doing that so this is another way to call attention to it
This is the best channel for awareness...
aka SJWs
I like how it shows both sides of the argument. It's like they both have good points and both of their opinions are valid. We just gotta accept our differences and do what we think is right. I can see how it can be disrespectful to the country or military veterans and how they feel, but I can also understand that the people who feel they need to kneel use it as a way to stand against wrong doing and for their voice to be heard. I think show shows that we can all have our opinions but we don't need to berate anyone because of it.
