Hot Damn! the best part of Monday is a new video from Puddin's fab shop. Glad to see you got the B2000 running. A friend of mine had one like that and it was the slowest truck I have ever driven. RIP Craftsman vacuum, they don't make them like they used to, My 5 hp craftsman wet/dry vac is going strong after 24 years.
I had the same result with my vacuum, barely one year old but not used very much. Suddenly smoke appeared along with that awful smell of burned electric component . That Chinese crap is undependable.
Hey man you got a lot done. Some of these other youtubers turn two bolts and call it an episode. 250 is an awesome deal for that truck. I can't wait to see this thing Pudified.
"Sundowner" is the highest trim level, like LTZ on a new Chevy or "Platinum" on a new F150. I currently own a 1984 B2000 SE-5 (the mid-tier and the last year model for this body style) that I'm working on getting the money together so I can get the OMC 2.3 Cobra that I have for it sent to the machine shop to bore the cylinders out just a smidge. Just a bit of trivia: Mazda (officially, anyway) skipped making a 1985 model year truck and introduced a new body style for the 1986 model year. Yes, I know quite a bit about this body style of Mazda B-Series/Ford Courier. The "Yee-Hawl" is what drew me to this channel in the first place. If one looks closely, you may find a tag in the engine bay that identifies the rear axle gear ratio. Mine is located on the passenger side near the hood hinge (within two feet), but it looks like Puddin's is missing. Same for the Ford Couriers...
I have a 86 Mazda long bed. Gave $1,200 for it drove it to work for damn near twenty years had a lifter tick in it every bit of that time and sold it for $1,000.
250 sounds fine there getting harder to find ive got one to mine a 1980 1tonn saved from a wreckers here in Australia sat for 14 years got it running cleaned up has some rust but not to bad great show makes 👍 me laugh.
Puddin even when I’m down I always enjoy my mondays because of you. I know it’s not a lot but just remember you make somebody’s week better every Monday.
You weren't the only one to shed a tear with the Death of that Craftsmen. Knowing my father, he's rolling in his grave over what happened with Craftsmen.
I suggest you go get ya a drywall vacuum attachment before you go and try cleaning out the mess under the hood again...save on them vacuums from burning out.
Still have all of mine, 1 1993 Isuzu Space Cab, 1 1991 Single Cab Isuzu, and one flying Unicorn, a 1994 Isuzu P'up 4 cylinder diesel within AUTOMATIC tranny! These are vehicles of a by gone Era, and beginning to become very rare sight to see
@@podegenst0ner303 they are still around.. hell you could soop the hell out of it and still not get close to the cost of a side by side.. and still drive it on the road..js
My dad had a b2200 that spent the first part of its life as a mall security truck. We used it to haul a four-wheeler in the bed and one on a trailer when we went hunting. They are incredibly durable. I drove it some once I got my license and learned to appreciate power steering because it had none. Great video! Keep it up Puddin, we need more like you.
I love this channel. You inspired me to go get a 20+ year old durango and I've done a full tune up on her. Sparks, wires rotor distributor cap. Oil change. I posted some of the content on my channel. I need to do some update videos.
Your are so fun to watch. I really enjoy your humor and the projects. And I say don’t worry about anybody complaining about a little advertisement or mentioning your own merchandise or promoting other’s goods and services. So much better than any reality TV that anyone is going to watch. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Peace
I absolutely love your videos. I grew up around auto shops and your sense of humor is spot on with the guys I know. Blessings on you for your hard work and I wish you much more success.
Vacuum hose leak @37:51 off the #1 intake runner, thats suppose to go to evep shutter on air cleaner. Nice work! Rebuilding one now, bent frame and all. The 82 pistons take the 1.5/2.0/4.0 rings not the 81 and older 1.2/1.4/4.0 that are listed wrong.
I would really dig a mid 70's Ford Courier or the like, but up here in WI, there is basically zero, nobody was keeping them out of the salt, no one thought they would quit making new ones. Who could have known that in a time where they can easily make a 200hp+ tiny engine, they wouldn't make a little truck with a 5 speed to put it in? "Small" trucks nowdays weigh more then 1980's half tons did.
“You’re lucky I don’t make mine whippin’ ass, I’d be headed to your house” - one of the best things I’ve heard in a while, hahaha. Well said Puddin, keep doin what you’re doin. I literally have had rough days and got done working and thought damn, I’m gonna watch a Puddin video to get in a better mood
It's pretty cool seeing you well over that 100k now. Cant wait to see that 1/4 mil. Thanks for the awesome vids. I missed this vid but so glad I found this channel a few months ago
this video came just in time I had someone steal a project bike out of my yard I've been driving around the "hood" for the past 2 hrs not given 2 craps looking with no luck came home in a real bad mood then watched your video and it chilled me out for the night lol keep it up bud I'll be posting mine soon
I have been doin the same, but it’s surprising how many friends and family just don’t believe in you when a guy does this kinda stuff .you give a boost to guys that can fix a lot of stuff!!!!
As a new subscriber since the start of the Yee-Hawl series I have to say I haven't had more fun watching a mechanic do his thing and educate and entertain me all at the same time is by far your genius! Thank you for the videos and all the laughs! Puddin's getting it done!
When that hood came up it sure brought back a lot of memories. Those things were notorious for head gasket issues along with the 626 with the same motor. Sometimes they would come in the door pinging really badly and that was a obvious sign that the head gasket was gone between two cylinders. If it was left too long it would cut a groove into the block. For my personal vehicle I waited till 85 and bought a 86 b2000. A much better truck. I have one genuine Mazda truck left. A 91 b2200 EFI automatic with 150 k. It's now officially turned 30 years old. Other than fluid changes and an occasional light bulb it has required zero maintenance and is as reliable as a new car.
I'm more of an old hot/rat rod type of guy, but all these mini truck videos have made me miss my 1st truck. It was a 1979 Datsun King cab. It spun a rod bearing at almost 300k miles. I always intended to do a motor swap and had it parked at my grandparents house. Went by to visit them one day and they had sold it for $200. Someday I will find another! Keep up the entertaining videos. They always bring a smile to my face. Heck this old timer even learns something every now and then. If you are ever down around Fort Worth hit me up and I'll show you around the old car and truck collection here on the property. Maybe we could find something you are interested in to trade for an old Datsun or Chevy Luv pickup. You seem to have better luck finding those around your neck of the woods.
Hey, Puddin, I had a Mazda B2000 in 1987. I worked at a Mazda dealership for 5 years as a mechanic. You won't go wrong with that truck. They are easy to work on and run for ever. You will be able to resell that truck, they are great little trucks.
The older I get the more I regret passing up on "cheap" older pickup trucks from back yonder days. Could have bought the company 76 Datsun 620, or either the 72 Courier my dad had, or the 86 Ranger he bought to replace it. All would have been cheap, and complete. Sadly, those days are gone, but hot damn, now I get to watch others snagging up the deals. It's call living vicariously through others. But I still build cars by balancing my time sitting on my butt while also getting my projects done.
Those little Mazda pickups were a decent rig, had a couple of them when I was a kid, that single over head cam 2000 was way better than the 1600. Those Hitachi carbs were easy to rebuild, I liked the side draft carbs from the earlier sedans, they made more power, they looked like an SU side draft copy. I would have the head milled .120 and put a bigger cam in and they would go pretty good.
I enjoy your videos. That’s what I use to do way back in the day. Never made any money doing it so I hope you can make a good living for your family. God Bless
Wait... Did you say $250?! Great deal! That Sundowner will look AMAZING after you lower it and clean it up! Puddin'... you found a diamond! It's just gonna take some love! Looking forward to seeing you bring this little truck back to life! Also, advertise your kids through college! You're an amazing dad! Have fun!
I've been looking for a truck like that one would you be interested in selling it if so how much do you want for it? Love your videos keep up the great work.
Love watching your channel with my grandson. He's only four years old but already keen to start wrenching. Any day now he's gonna say 'Grandad, get off your ass and finish that project'.
I just happened to run unto this video, & having an 84 Mazda B2000 myself, I really enjoyed watching all the mechanics you did. Gives me ideas of how to work on my truck. Great video!
You inspired me to get off my ass to finish my project. I say eff the haters. Been here since you barely had a following and it is amazing to see you flourishing. Congrats on 100k
Once again. Love your work. Great job. I also don't like advertisements but completely understand you're trying to make a living and the way you do it is at least entertaining and relevant. Unlike other car channels I've seen where they'll randomly advertise a phone game or something to that affect. Keep it up buddy!
It is a good work truck not a bad thing to have on the road I hope you will be able to get the truck running and driving and stopping that would be a good idea as well as a part's getter
FINALLY! As a 70's kid I learned to use Apple Cider Vinegar in the cylinders... Keep them topped off and it cleans off the rust and frees up the rings.. Let them sit till they come loose. Excellent save.... I love those old trucks... Brian Bedgood's Mom had one and that sucker ran 70 on the highway like nobody's business...
The ole hood slide to swinging arm. Best moves I’ve seen. Love ur videos man and other people are just obnoxious. Everyone needs to earn a living. Keep up the great work with ur channel and family man.
As always another great video, one of the best parts of my mondays. The trolls are just jealous because they've never put the work into anything and are jealous of everyone else's success.
I finally put it together, figured out why I enjoy these so much. You remind me of my friend who was taken from us about 6 years ago. He was a Tattoo artist, wore coveralls, same dang cheap shoes( he had 1 fancier pair he called lamborfeeties, but they would flip flop on his bipedals.) Same dang laugh. From southwest missouri, so similar accents too. Dont ever change,
Me and my dad got our 1974 international loadstar firetruck running today i had a blast needs some work for sure. But just hearing it running again brought back some memories
I got me some of that there fancy pants pb blaster with the sharp shooter lever...stuff works wonders but you'll blow through the whole can before you blink your eyes!
Mr. Puddin Tane, that has got to be the finest - and most perfect - vinegar jug storage toss that I have ever witnessed (10:46). And, as always, I superbly enjoy the inclusion of the tripod tipovers (12:46).
I’m not sure how many had suggested using vinegar besides me but I would say you’re definitely a believer now that you’ve gotten a few engines freed up from using it. Thank you for giving it a try and proving those of us who have been using it right. Other than that, keep up making these great vids.
I had this exact truck as a kid. We called it the Ice box. I sold it after high school in 92. I saw it 20 years later still driving around town. You couldn't kill it. I had grip spurs on the back it would go anywhere.
I had an 84 B2000. Danged good little truck. The only thing was I needed to put me and 2 child's seats in it. Fail! Traded it in on a Nissan Stanza 4×4 minivan. Those Mazdas are bad for blowing head gaskets especially if you run them hot. My friend has one with over 400k on it. Fix any coolant problems and change the oil. I think she will clean up nice. The best thing is it's white. Anything you do to add color to it is an improvement! It's a nice little truck that will do you good. Not huge powerhouses so I think that slide in camper was a bit optimistic. Maybe a 5.0 and AOD trans would help the power issue. LOL! Have fun and be safe! Cheers Terry
As always, I really enjoy your episodes! Sucks about the Craftsman Shop Vac... I have a similar model, it's new-ish, has only been gently used twice now, so time will tell...
I think they make the top removable on the shop vac so you can empty it out occasionally. That might make the next one last longer. They just don’t make them like they used to. 😢
Thanks for giving me a reason to quit working in the garage. I pulled something in my side yanking a propane tank out the back of my truck. After a couple hours working, couldn't take bending over, then I remembered it was Monday. Yee haw! Gotta go watch Puddin! Man, I don't miss Copperheads. Back in Misery (Missouri to the rest of you), they were everywhere.
My first car was a 1986 Mazda B2000 and I put 120,000 miles on it before the engine blew up. Now had I had a channel like this I could of saved it so its nice to see this one being saved! NOYCE!
Lovin the channel, Puddin. I'm a mechanic and I've made myself a goal to play every single one of your videos on my laptop at work. Every mechanic in here is gonna feel the Power of Puddin, tell you what. Keep up the great work, man!
Another awesome video! You got a good deal on it for $250.00! Body looks solid and just power washing it will make it look like a different truck! I haven't seen a Mazda B2000 of that body style for many years! I'm sure it will turn out great once your done! Take care! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family members!

Once again. Love your work. Great job. I also don't like advertisements but completely understand you're trying to make a living and the way you do it is at least entertaining and relevant. Unlike other car channels I've seen where they'll randomly advertise a phone game or something to that affect. Keep it up buddy!
Not a wiener this time, thanks for the video. That was my first truck I owned back in high School with the old 10 inch woofer boxes behind the seat.
It is a good work truck not a bad thing to have on the road I hope you will be able to get the truck running and driving and stopping that would be a good idea as well as a part's getter
Really enjoyed the video! Thanks for making all the effort. We can see that your really busy! God bless you and yours!
Lets see how fast you outgrow that merch shed i give ya 6 months lol congrats on the success man
When that vacuum cleaner blew up, I proper laughed! Even more at the tribute!
Keep up the great work with ur channel and family man.
whats up puddin. wayne from alabama, been watching your show for a year now, keeps me laughing, keep up the good work
As always another great video, one of the best parts of my mondays.
Love watching this guy always leave with a smile 😆 ..
My dad had 2 of those trucks. Quietest little engines ever. It is what I learned how to drive a manual trans on. Good memories
Cheers
Terry
As always, I really enjoy your episodes! Sucks about the Craftsman Shop Vac... I have a similar model, it's new-ish, has only been gently used twice now, so time will tell...
Loved the video! Hurry up with the second video on this cute little baby.
I think they make the top removable on the shop vac so you can empty it out occasionally. That might make the next one last longer. They just don’t make them like they used to. 😢
Man you brighten my day every time I watch your videos.
Hey Puddin, Happy Thanksgiving to you, Mrs. Puddin and all the tapiocas!
Amazing. That truck was essentially scrap and you brought it back to life - like Lazarus
