Gus was so tiny!! He’s a cool dog and it’s been fun watching him grow.
Going back and watching old videos just to run into Gus as a pup was a real treat. Love that little guy.
Same!
The video with the intro to Gus. What a day.
Chris you have a surprising amount of knowledge and know how, I'm amazed at the pressurized fire extinguisher fuel pump, you work on whatever pleases you and I'll be pleased to watch it 👍☮️
Why is his knowledge surprising?
That fire extinguisher got my attention too Kenneth..very clever.
Your optimism is my favorite part of this channel. You look at something that would make me run away screaming in terror, and you let out a "not bad!"
Brings back memories. I owned 3 of these back in the day. The first one I owned got stolen 3 days into my truck driving school so I went contacted the news to try and get it back. At the same time my daughter had cancer and unfortunately we lost her when she was just 4 years old. So another student was kind enough to take me back and forth to school till I could figure out some other means of transportation which there was none. So a few days later, after the news of my truck was stolen. I got a call from the news station saying someone wanted to give me a call. I agreed and live on TV, I accepted a Saturn SL1. I don't remember the year. But I never got my truck back. I finish my trade school, gave the car to my wife at the time so she had a car and a year later, my wife left me and took the car and the kids. So this style truck will always have a place in my heart. Mine was an 86 though. Gutless, 0 to 60 in two weeks.
Dammit man. I reckon if you get whooped enough you can stand a lick or three.
86 Bronco 2 was my first car. Lots of good memories with that Lil guy.
I'm ADDICTED TO YOUR CHANNEL! I never realized how much I loved old cars until I started watching and now I can't stop! I love how you explain everything you are doing and why, and my all-time favorite part ...listening to it start for the first time! I wish you were closer, I'd have you diagnose my 98 Ford Expedition . It runs but needs some help...I live in a dinky little Kansas town...thanks for the education & entertainment!!!
What part of Kansas? My grandma had a bar in Detroit not far from Abilene
@@copeexodus6861 North Central Kansas
Don't know if I've said it before, but, I'm very happy and highly impressed how you handle your trash. You're very environmentally conscious. I applaud that. With how much you enjoy where you live it's awesome to see a responsible person doing cool things...
Dude, he recycled corn husks as compost!
He surely didnt make any friends at Exxon! Exxon Valdeez in the backyard. 😂😂😂😂
Totally agree. More need to give a crap.
Like leaving his trash in a parking lot to get towed away lol
Gus is a real cutie! My grandfather had a Dachshund and would take him into the stables and he'd overend a feed barrel that was half full of grain and the mice would come scurrying out, sometimes a rat would too. Man, that little dog instantly shifted into another gear and would rip right into those rodents tearing them to pieces!! If was a riot watching that little guy go!!
You're quite the tinkerer with these broken down vehicles. It's a joy to watch.
I think they were bred in Germany to hunt sewer rats because of their short legs and strong jaws!! In New York at night 🐀 exterminators get paid by the city to keep them at a minimum. The Dachshund is their favorite!! They have to muzzle them or they will eat them!! There is at least one video about them. They have boundless energy and live to hunt!!
They play with the kids in the daylight and become hunting machines at night!
I'VE GOT TO GUS BEEN INTRODUCED 😂wow, been watching a lot of the more latest videos and just started watching older ones to catch up. Love your videos Chris and Jen
I love how you jump around on your projects, makes it exciting as you never know what you are going to be working on next!
Congratulations on getting Gus! He is a great addition to your channel. Nice job on the bronco ll Thank you for sharing 😀
As mentioned already, seeing Gus as a puppy is beautiful. It’s amazing watching these older videos and seeing how shy he was as a baby and now he’s a complete wild man running all over the place and watching him try and play with Turbo but Turbo doesn’t seem to want any of it lol😄❤️ It’s been so long I didn’t remember most of the content in this video. Almost like watching a new video😊👍
The fire extinguisher fuel pump was insanely ingenious man. People don't realize the quality of this channel. You'll be 1mil subs within a year or two at this rate. Well done.
I know this is an old video and Im not sure you will see this but I have spent the better part of the last few weeks watching a ton of your videos. This is easily my new favorite channel, you are a good dude. I don't need to know you in person to recognize that, thank you for being you my guy. Also I love seeing Jen and you interact you are a great couple from what I see, and GUS MAN, is my favorite. I just grabbed a T-shirt from the site, keep up the awesome job and maybe make a Gus T-Shirt- him in the Wrecker or something cool pretending to drive.
Can't thank you enough for checking out all the videos and extra thanks for ordering a shirt man! Unfortunately this bronco ended up getting part of that by the new owner. But sometimes that's just what makes more sense. Again thanks for viewing and appreciate the kind words!
Little gs is definitely attached to Jen!,
Cute pup
It was cool seeing Gus and the chickens as babies. I agree, worst gas tank I’ve ever seen.
32:01 ford used 2 fuel pumps on those, a low pressure lift pump in the tank, and a high pressure pump in the frame. That cartridge looking thing, sometimes it did have a cartridge fuel filter, and sometimes it was empty, ford used it as a diverter valve for trucks with dual tanks. Most times the filter was further up the frame and was a metal canister filter with the plastic line connectors
Keep on doing what your doing chris. I really enjoy your randomness.
I'll second that motion Mr. Chairman! 👍
His what?
Gus is so adorable, I love him
Good luck on the projects
The old Fiero in the background looks like a good "will it run" vehicle!!
These were everywhere in the 80's. I'd like to see this running!
I had a Bronco identical to that, same color, same wheels, except mine was a 1984 with a 2.8 carb V6. Clattered like heck but never died!
Marvel mystery oil fixed mine
He is so cute little Gus!
the arrival of Gus! What a great dog.
Those 'STARS' that are painted add-ons look like the work of a man near Hazleton named Craig Wallen, He used to call them 'daggers'. Also, he would mark his work somewhere on the paint with his initials. Love your channel.
Yep, the 86-88 bronco II had a low pressure pump in the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail. In 89 they switched over to just one high pressure in tank pump. I owned both an 88 and 89. I drove the 88 from Las Vegas to Illinois and back without any issues. It was actually great off road, especially on tight switch backs due to the short wheel base. Always enjoy your videos!
I have been rescuing an 84 and rebuilding it with my kids for a little while now - fun as heck once you get em running right
Nice man! First model year. That's pretty cool. Great to teach your kids young as well
Simply AWESOME!! This was the first SUV I ever owned back in the early 1990 ( I had an 1986 with the 2.9 liter) I put a 2 inch body lift and it had super swappers tires. Loved my bronco II. Literally drove it till the wheels fell off
@Jim jibroni 🤣🤣🤣
Literally Till the wheels fell off???!!!??? Literally means the wheels did fall off as you Drive it
Wish there was more with this truck. I always wanted one. Living vicariously through you. LOL
I love Gus, I had a regular Black and Brown one as a kid.
If I need to relax and destress I just click on NNKH for couple of hours. I Love what you do with your channel Chris. Always fun and educational too.
Man that thing is sweet.... love all the years and versions of the bronco.
Aww, Gus. He's a good boy!
I used to have a Bronco II in the 80’s, loved it! Great on gas, automatic, power everything. I beat that thing in into the ground.
Awwww puppy gus only recently found your kids and been binge watching them gus deffo steals the show haha 😄
Gus is a good looker my wife and I a 8 year old blonde and tan weaner dog rescue that was about his age when we got her , she is a home protector don’t like folks even walking down the street near her house !
I think it’s soooo incredibly cool to see your work ethic, you never shy away from a challenge. You’re just a very talented man and I love watching your content!!!
Cool video..love the old vehicles that junkyard has...I ve been there many times myself to get parts for my 3rd gen Trans am..He's got alot of goodies in there just rusting away.... always enjoy your content...👍👍👍
The kid in me said light the whole pan on fire. Then when you went to do it I laughed hard. Then u was sad when you didn't. I guess we all grow up sometime!
Cute puppy 🐶
Welcome to the madness Gus
Excellent video! I've been wanting an old Bronco II for a while now and it was great to see you troubleshoot all the main areas on these. 👍
Hahahahahahah
Man I always loved those little broncos! My nephew and my niece had one! Now they wish they still have them!😂 they where great trucks! They used to perform very well on the off road trails! Great job man!!👌😎👍she sounds sweet!
Hope you get the Title was looking forward to It Rolling down the Road My Mom and Dad had one and several other Friends they all loved
their Bronco 11s. Good 🌄 Luck
Hello from Delaware!
I find myself watching your videos in any random order. I was happy to watch this one and pleasantly surprised to see the introduction of Gus! Hello Gus!
Chris, I think that gauge cluster is out of a 69-70 mustang. I've owned enough of them brother. Sweet bronco by the way. Gus is a little heartbreaker. Jen is looking stunning as usual!! Simply love your channel. Semper Fi brother
Gus was just a puppy. Good job.
Oh man, those fender flares and that interior... be still my heart. I hope this thing went off to a good home and is back on the street!
Great dog. I've had 2 dachshunds. You won't find a more noble dog.
You a real mechanic.
My old cocker spaniel was mighty noble! His name was Blazer! Lol. Named after the ‘02 trailblazer I drove to pick him up. Miss that lil guy. 15.5 years of being my best friend. He was always there for me.
Hey Chris! Another great video. It is always good to see Jen and now we have a Gus to look forward to seeing. I love the coloration of him! Thumbs UP , and I am already looking forward to your next video. 👍💯
thats one fantastic looking 80's truck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank god you saved it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had 4 or 5 of those and love them right along with big broncos, and k5 blazers
hate fords but cant hold it against any one.binge watching NNKH thank you for the entertainment your fan from the snowy state MI
Went to this video, Gus is so young here ❤❤ Great to see you rescue this cars 🥰
Dude you are the hardest worker person on RUclips = you go Chris
Mint dude! I've always loved these little things, surely coming back around. Can't wait to see more, Heavy equipment/farm items would be cool.
these types of videos are the best, I hope you're able to sell/offload these vehicles so you can keep doing this type of thing - edit: oh man! I saw Gus on instagram, what a cute pup!
Love your commitment straight in no messing .
That’s awesome. I’ve got an 87 that I got running last summer and I redid the entire fuel system like you. When I dropped the tank there were actually holes in it from corrosion
Hell yeah..your doing the bronco
I’m so glad you came back for this thing, this and one of the other muscle cars were my top picks from the first time we say these cars haha
THIS IS IN MY VIEW THE MOST LEGENDARY CAR. I ALSO BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MYSELF LAST YEAR AND RIDED 3000 KILOMETERS WITHOUT A BREAKDOWN ON IT. SORRY IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND PARTS. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR PROJECT.
This was fun, as usual.
How 'bout somethin' like that BMW parked in front of the Bronco II? Somethin' more exotic?
Awww... Gus when he was a baby!
I watched this because I recognised the Bronco II as like one my dad had. He was a rural route postman in MN. His was automatic. He'd sit in the middle and gas & brake with his left foot so he could reach the mail boxes on the right side of the road.
I had a 1984 blue in color. Loved it.
Hi Gus! Beautiful blue tic. Only seen one other in person and I think they're the coolest!
Great work! Always completing what you set out to do.
Love this channel! Thanks for doing the Bronco II this time!
Thanks so much for your support Steve!
Excellent... Congratulations 😎👍
Just discovered your channel. Absolutely love it, can’t stop watching all your videos. Great job. Please keep them coming.
I've only seen a few over your videos, but they have been really cool so far, this one really got my attention because I have an 89 ranger with the same motor and I know for a fact those 2.9 motors can't be killed, I tried many times and watched other people try with their broncos and rangers so that's a nice find good luck
I had totally forgotten the Bronco Ii existed. We had one when I was a kid. I think, an 87 just like this one. But dark blue with blue interior. Thanks for helping me remember that memory.
Love those broncos.
I have been on binge mode with all your vids. Especially the "will it run" videos. Love the content man. Just listening to you is making me learn more than I ever would have thought!
I owned that exact vehicle when I was younger. It was a wonderful truck never gave me any problems and they will go anywhere I never got mine stuck and was in a few sticky situations 4x4 is great on those trucks
Happy to see you have a glove sponsor. With your line of work, it will defiantly keep you safe.
As you say Chris, can’t win them all. What a bonus, seeing Gus’s introduction to the channel 👍
Really enjoying the channel from the UK 🇬🇧
FYI I usually find the manufacturing date on the sidewall of the tires to estimate how long a vehicle has been sitting.
I like the way you tear everything apart the parts that don't work just to see what's inside of him and what causes the problem thanks for the videos always a good time
I purchased a Bronco II in 1989 and it was a great vehicle for the 14 years I had it. It had the 2.9L, 5 speed manual and 4x4. Never an issue of any kind. You never see them around anymore.
I once own three of those awesome Bronco 2's,last one was 1988 standard. She started life as a auto, coughed her guts, and we install a standard transmission. Since then it's been explorer's and escapes, great video again, more fun. Ps working on rusty fords,Ford spray, cxc51a,have great Wednesday. 🇨🇦.
Love this channel straight to the point no mucking around
Aww, I have a mini dachshund named Bella. She is 10. She actually goes down groundhog holes in our backyard.
When you walked the yard and asked viewers to suggest which vehicle to rescue I said to myself he will pick the Bronco. Great choice.
Intrusive thoughts almost won with that blow torch XD
Love the scattered, your videos have the best pacing on YT. Damn shame about the clutch, but she's a runner. Good luck with the sale!
I am newer to the channel and Gus is one of the best parts. So cool to see when you first got him. I've been going back to watch all the other content on your channel.
Gus is beautiful ! We have 2 red dapple minis ourselves & are crazy about em !
Keep those videos coming i like the realness on your channel as a tech can relate and learn too
Double thumbs up for the puppy👍👍👍👍👍
Great fun, loved it.
your neighbors must really love you with all that revving up
Cool little bronc
Had a 88 Bronco 2. Loved that thing. Even though it didnt always love me.
Man that's a good rig I hope someone buys it!! Great video!!
I picked up a 1984 Bronco II in similar shape. It had the 2.8L V6. Converted it to duraspark and got it going again. It smokes and is low on power….but is fun around town.
Your videos are awesome n its great that you get these old vehicles in the junk yard back running!! A friend had one of these that we car pooled with n she would drive any time it snowed as they track great in the snow in wisconsin
We had a 1990 bronco Lloyd 4x2 5 speed manual 2.9 V6.
It was the freaking Best! We owned it for 15 years, put over 350k and it didn't miss a beat. In all those years and miles only changed the water pump, clutch and routine rake maintenance, what a Champ. Sold it in perfect running condition and bought an Explorer Sport 5 Speed, should've kept the Bronco ll
