James wrote this song after talking to the parents of a teenage girl who was murdered after leaving a Metallica concert, The parents of the young girl started going to Metallica shows as a way to heal.
It wasn’t the Charlottesville show in 2009 where Morgan Arrington was kidnapped was it? I was at that one and the guy that did it killed 2 other girls in Virginia. Heartbreaking stuff.
Every time David reacts to Metallica I get nervous. I have loved them since 84 (first hearing). And knowing David loved them too and especially Cliff, it made me sad when he went through the Load and Reload Era. But Death Magnetic, Hard Wired and 72 seasons are great albums. 72 seasons was a grower for me but seeing it performed live, holy God, do those songs sound great. Hearing the crowd singing Lux Aeterna was awesome. Metallica are and always have been a live band. At any rate, I keep hoping David can find a home for Metallica because the 50+ crowd was where it all started and we need our brothers and sisters' history with the band. Glad to see David enjoying most of the newer stuff.
You may have heard this on subsequent listens, or I may have heard it wrong listening just now, but I don't think there's an extra measure at the end of the chorus. I think the triplets start on the 3 of one measure, so the last two accented beats are just the 3 and 4 two measures later.
Great reaction video as usual I would love to hear some new Metallica from their new album 72 Seasons we all look forward to that when you eventually get to it you Rock Dave peace bud 👍
Greetings from florida!… great reaction dave, as usual my friend, peopel needs to see why you’ve seen, is not about complexity is about making sense this was a much better album than death magnetic. You’re right riff is not a ride the lighting riff but it for the job done by fitting in the song. Wait till you get to 72 seasons. See you around. Peace
I love this song, i remember when i first listened to it, it was on the meh side of hardwired for a while for me, then it started growing on me for some reason, the creepy sounding verse, the weird intro and outro, and even more, the story of the song. Nowadays, it's my fav from Hardwired alongside Spit out the Bone and Hardwired. Can't wait to when you finish this album i think it's only 3SONGS LEFT WOOOOHOO ALMOST DONE.
Waiting for more Metallica content, React to the new album it has some great songs like Screaming Suicide, Room of mirrors, Too far gone, You must burn
@@davidljubicic9112 You just send a message to DH and say "Hey DH, I'd like to make a request for Suicide and Redemption by Metallica" and he'll say "Cool, it's in the queue now."
There's a big purple button on the upper right of the patreon page under the header that says "Message" and that's how you send a message to DH on there.

Oh wow, I never knew that. Thank you for sharing this information🙏.
"Desperate hands that lose control
Have no mercy on your soul"
Didn't she pass away from a drunk driver hitting her leaving one of their concerts?

4:25 - This is why Lars is NOT a crap drummer! It sounds complex but he does it in 4x4...lol He knows what he is doing...lol
Underrated song

The groove of this song is brutal and the chorus is very catchy🔥
Love the riffs in this song and the way it feels moody and dark which fits the subject matter.
You have to react to the new songs 72 seasons, You must Burn, Too Far Gone, Inamorata, Room of Mirrors and Chasing light
This is my favorite song off the album. Love the heavy riffage

This is one of my favorite songs of Metallica. The back story only made it a better song. I wore this song out when it first came out.
I liked this a lot more than the last one. Really groovy and a good headbanger
My favourite from the album full awesome songs
Solid song.

In 5 to 8 years he'll probably make a video, if you pay him
@@8tonystark8 Someone sounds mad....
Love this album so much
Great
Riffs are rocking it. But it kind of dragged out towards the end.
Revenge is a very underrated song.
Day 98714 of asking you to react to their instrumental Suicide And Redemption!
Have you made a request on the patreon?
No one has for that song.
@@WayTooLateTV Subscribed once to do that but didnt understand how to make the request.

I predicted 8.7
This album much better than 72 seasons.
Oh no, I want to watch this but don't want to listen to this awful song again. I deleted it from my mp3 the day I bought the album. Cringe.
Your thumbnail had me a bit worried, thought you were not going to like this one either 😅 I sure was wrong 😎🤘
