Good looking snake seen one at the san diego zoo it was amazing it was 7 feet backed in the 80's i went too back of the stage it was zoo scool we where alowed to touch it. I have a goapher snake had it since it was 16 inches now its close to 4 feet i also brought a eastern chain kingsnake male baby they both are good eaters. I have offtend wondered who was the true king if both snakes were 6 feet who would win in a fight haven't seen any video of a indigo snake or kingsnake eating each other online?
Perhaps the most amazing snake in the United States. I love how docile they are. They don't seem to mind being handled at all. In captivity they have a reputation for being very "messy" as they are ferociously eaters. It's a shame that captive bred individuals are hard to find. Perfect combination of beauty, smart, great temperament.
They really are amazing! I really don't find mine to be that messy. I use Aspen shavings and keep my boy in a 8 foot enclosure. He has two different large hides and hangs out in them most of the time. I, too, wish there were more in both the wild and in captivity.
@@Pogonavision That's great ! Enjoy. I'd love to own a snake, but I travel for work frequently. Even being low maintenance animals for the most part, snakes as you know still need a certain amount of care and attention. I wouldn't dream of having an animal I couldn't care for properly.
