This woman could have created a sauce company that would have kept her financially comfortable for the rest of her life. With the success and intrigue of the first sauce and the backing of Dave's Gourmet, she could have modified her business plan by introducing 5 to 10 more colorful sauces that could be sold as a sampler as well as on their own. Each sauce could be a variant of popular wing sauce flavors and with the added bonus of the added color scheme the set would look amazing and really stand out against similar products. Finally, she could eventually create a sauce alongside a possible celebrity endorsement and really take off, earning her place permanently in the condiments business. Instead she chose to remain uneducated about the business, ignore advice and business plans presented to her by successful companies and last, squander the money she could have made by buying a bunch of crap she didn't need with an advance she'd never be able to repay. She also chose to make a fool out of herself on a talk show, along with the host and show the world that she is an undesirable candidate for endorsement and any sort of collab. Her story is a sad reminder that the very people who believe they're the smartest in the room often lose out on the best advice on account of their own inflated ego.

There's one ingredient that potentially explains the color problems -- dragon fruit powder. How to Cook That tested a recipe that was based on the original nutrition label (from the bottles), and the powder did create a bright pink color. HOWEVER, the color also fades over time, which may explain why the "pink" sauce becomes an off-putting yellow color.

We have pink sauce in the store I work at and nobody has bought a single one since the small box came in 6 months ago, it has turned spotty tan color and we’re about to take it off the shelves because it’s just taking up space
I got a bottle of this stuff at Wal-Mart having no idea about any of the controversy. I just saw a bottle filled with a bright pink liquid, and a bright pink label that said Pink Sauce on the shelf and I'm always interested in novelty products so I grabbed a bottle. It was full price ($6), not in the discount bin. It had a weird flavor. Kind of like spicy honey mustard mixed with ranch and/or mayo and some fruit overtones. It wasn't actually bad on chicken, which according to the bottle was one of the intended uses. I didn't end up finishing that bottle and it eventually went bad. When I looked it up online, I saw the controversy surrounding it. Afterwards I noticed that it disappeared from Wal-Mart. Many months later I saw it show up at Dollar Tree for $1.25. I bought a bottle but this time it wasn't to use figuring since it was a controversial product that died quickly maybe a sealed bottle might be worth something to someone one day as a novelty. That bottle has remained unopened and sealed since then and it has gone from bright pink to pale pink to beige white and now it's almost just plain white.

With the success and intrigue of the first sauce and the backing of Dave's Gourmet, she could have modified her business plan by introducing 5 to 10 more colorful sauces that could be sold as a sampler as well as on their own. Each sauce could be a variant of popular wing sauce flavors and with the added bonus of the added color scheme the set would look amazing and really stand out against similar products. Finally, she could eventually create a sauce alongside a possible celebrity endorsement and really take off, earning her place permanently in the condiments business.
Instead she chose to remain uneducated about the business, ignore advice and business plans presented to her by successful companies and last, squander the money she could have made by buying a bunch of crap she didn't need with an advance she'd never be able to repay.
She also chose to make a fool out of herself on a talk show, along with the host and show the world that she is an undesirable candidate for endorsement and any sort of collab. Her story is a sad reminder that the very people who believe they're the smartest in the room often lose out on the best advice on account of their own inflated ego.

The way she lucked out with Dave's Gourmet and immediately tried to take advantage of them by asking to get them to pay for a 10k birthday party + dress + shoes, and throwing a tantrum when they say 'no'. They didn't even fully reject the request, just suggested a lower budget. This lady deserves to be perpetually broke.
There's one ingredient that potentially explains the color problems -- dragon fruit powder. How to Cook That tested a recipe that was based on the original nutrition label (from the bottles), and the powder did create a bright pink color.
HOWEVER, the color also fades over time, which may explain why the "pink" sauce becomes an off-putting yellow color.

They collected dust at my local dollar tree for the logest time.
I got a bottle of this stuff at Wal-Mart having no idea about any of the controversy. I just saw a bottle filled with a bright pink liquid, and a bright pink label that said Pink Sauce on the shelf and I'm always interested in novelty products so I grabbed a bottle. It was full price ($6), not in the discount bin. It had a weird flavor. Kind of like spicy honey mustard mixed with ranch and/or mayo and some fruit overtones. It wasn't actually bad on chicken, which according to the bottle was one of the intended uses.
I didn't end up finishing that bottle and it eventually went bad. When I looked it up online, I saw the controversy surrounding it. Afterwards I noticed that it disappeared from Wal-Mart. Many months later I saw it show up at Dollar Tree for $1.25. I bought a bottle but this time it wasn't to use figuring since it was a controversial product that died quickly maybe a sealed bottle might be worth something to someone one day as a novelty.
That bottle has remained unopened and sealed since then and it has gone from bright pink to pale pink to beige white and now it's almost just plain white.
Where have you been keeping it? I have an unopened bottle from Dollar Tree and it's still a pale pink. I wonder if even the Dave's Gourmet version is not shelf stable.
