Agnes was the fake name that Agatha was using in Wandavision. Keep in mind that from the perspective of the people of the town, Agnes (Agatha) is a hero that saved them from Wanda so they respect her a lot.
Regarding Episode 1 - I picked up during the true crime drama that they were doing an homage/parody, not just of true crime dramas in general, but of Mare of Easttown (accents: "crick" for "creek") as well as other "strong female lead'' detective shows inspired by Scandinavian TV series. - Keep in mind that we see everything under the spell from Agnes' POV and she is an unreliable narrator. She has photos of a body that are actually of flowers. In the morgue the body isn't there, then it is. The toe tag is a library book tag. I did not interpret the presence of Wanda's "body" as anything literal. It's possible that Agatha sensed whatever happened to Wanda, being connected by the spell. Or, as a previous holder, she sensed the destruction of Wundagore/all of the Darkholds. - It made total sense to me that Agatha's priorities would be 1) what's going on? 2) where's my magic? 3) get dressed

I'm so glad y'all are reacting to this, it's definitely one of my favorite series out there. Just like Loki some of it's biggest strengths are the physical sets and story that was allowed to pan out relatively unaffected by the overall MCU. Watching this weekly was an absolute delight and the cast KILLED ITTTT
8 & 9 only came out together to line up with Halloween and the election in America would have been when episode 9 came out. They weren't ment as a 2 parter.
Ya'll need to rewatch wanda vision. lol. Seems you forgot a lot about Wanda taking her powers and putting her in a spell and Agatha being a witch since the Salem witch trial ages.
My guys, you are in for a treat with this one 😂😂♥️ I have to tell you it’s one of the best, it’s just feels weird for you because it’s been a while since you watches Wandavision, but the more you get into it you will like it I’m sure
I love this show. Yes I notice a lot of things and I can't say most of them bc spoilers. This show is worth watching at least once after you've seen it the first time. What they crafted is so good. I think the only things I could mention are things related to this episode. Like the "crime scene" pictures are of Herbs yellow flowers, the same shrubs he was trimming in the 70s ep of WandaVision and also at the end when she storms out of her house naked to talk to him. In her bespelled mind, those yellow-flower shrubs were the crime scene tape at the start of the show and that whole conversation happened just standing by the shrubs. Most what she experiences in ep1 were fabrications of the spell and her mind, but some parts of reality leaked thru. Like Herb saying, "you don't seem like yourself." And then she snaps at him about being upset by the dead girl in the crick. He probably actually said that. Or when the police chief tells her, "go home, Agnes." She was probably at their door or in their house and he turns off the light and tells her to go home, kinda tired and exasperated. There's legit so much more, but it would be spoilers.
Wanda imprisoned Agatha as Agnes in Westview at the end of Wandavision. Now that Wanda is apparently dead, the spell is unraveling and with help from Rio and the boy Agatha manages to break out. Rio helps break Agatha out as she wants Agatha to know who's killing her and why; the reason for the boy helping will be revealed soon.
You should try to upload 102 ahead of schedule bc 101+102 are meant to be watched together as the premeire. Also, plan to watch/upload 108+109 together bc those are meant to be watched together for the finale. Ultimately i think it messes up the flow of the show to separate them bc little things won’t make as much sense or be as enjoyable to watch.😊

The soundtrack of this show is a banger! I listened to it while exploring nature during one of my last vacations.

Bit out of order in the MCU timeline but it's good surprise since it's a good show, might start a bit slow but picks up in the later half :)
