    This looks a lot like what I called decoupage when I was a kid in the 70s. I would paint the medium (not mod pod, but I can’t remember the brand) and painted about 6 coats on the paper image letting it dry between each coat, then soak it in water for a bit and roll the paper off with my finger the way you did. Then I’d turn it over and lay it over a molded plaster disk and put more medium on top. We made them as wall hangings. I’ve looked everywhere for someone who used a similar method and you’re the first I found! It reassures me that I do remember it correctly. I was beginning to think I was crazy.

    Great techniques! As far as I'm concerned, make your videos as long as possible! You inspire and teach me so much! I've always wondered about gel medium for transferring graphics, so this was extremely helpful♥♥♥

    • @patioelf
      @patioelf  8 лет назад

      Thank you Lynda, that's great to hear. Yes, I love doing transfers but for years I kpet trying and would only have about a 50/50 success rate, umtil I started using the Gel Medium. Thank you again!

    Hi Patti. I have been decoupaging birdhouses as. Gifts for friends for indoors, so this really excites me. I didn’t think they would survive outdoors. Do you know if the ones I print myself on rice paper would work too? Thank you for another awesome video! Been following you for years. 😊

    This is wonderful. For years hubby makes birdhouses and I paint them and use stamps. Now I have a much better way and so want these papers. Starting on a new one for sister In law this week, just got it sanded. Can we download your script and buy these napkins from your site? Just started looking at your store, a lot to see...but I do have a lot of crafting materials I need to use and not waste. Hubby is all for recycling and me using what I have already. Just need a few papers?

    Hi Patti
    I am loving this gorgeous birdhouse. The script looks amazing on it. Love the glitter, love the gelato, is that how you spell it :) I like the longer videos. Doesn't bother me how long they are, they are great videos either way. I bet this birdhouse is going to look so pretty on your front porch, is that where you are putting it?
    deezie

    • @patioelf
      @patioelf  8 лет назад

      aww, thank you so much Deezie. So far every single comment on the length of the video's says to make them longer. I always have trouble spelling gelato and yes you spelled it right. The birdhouse is out there now, looks like I have a few interested buyers (sparrows and wrens LOL) It's prime real estate for birds being in front of the waterfall and all. LOL
      :)

    By the way, did you "age" a little a few of those bulb decorative overhangs from the "roof"? I missed that I guess! It's beautiful!!

    • @patioelf
      @patioelf  8 лет назад

      Thank you so much for the feedback.... Oh, you know what? I accidentally did that with the aging on the roof overhangs. I thought I was wiping away some dust while the paint was wet, but it was paint. I decided to like the effect. :) Thanks again!

    There are many components to creating an amazing design. One resource I found that successfully combines these is the Aviary Magic Method (check it out on google) without a doubt the most useful info that I've seen. Check out this unbelievable site.
