A Tiny Battlefield

Suddenly I saw them fighting very near to my footstep. Slowly I remove my phone and start recording the Battlefield. The prey was almost equal size of the body length of the predator (without it's tale). The battle for food vs life continued. Initially the the predator bite at the back of the prey and at this stage the power of the prey was observed . When ever it got a solid ground it begins to pull the predator. Several times it bites over the head of the predator. After some times the predator get is loose . It observe it's prey and attack just behind the head. From this point the prey begins to dull. I was confused that even if the predator kills the prey can he swallow it ? I was surprised to see that finally the predator swallow it as a hole, take rest for a while and move forward.
