Estou impressionado com suas pinturas, parabéns!
Thank you for sharing! It helps when you change brushes tell us what it is and also love it when you share the palette. I hope you will continue with this painting and the bridge reflection.
Thank's Michael, and Charles Peterson for your advise.
Once again excellent work, your use of contrast and accurate colour brings life to all of your paintings.
Thanks Michael for showing your palate. That was really thoughtful. I appreciate it a lot

Loved it ! And I will watch it over and over and love more every time. Thanks so much for posting and sharing your talent with all of us.
I have watched over and over....and love it every time. I hope you recorded the remainder and post that as well.
Wish I was as technically savvy as you are. Your talented in so many ways! Thank you!
Love this bridge . You are as good as Franz Schubert. Only in painting!! Ha
Michael I just love watching you paint. Your paintings are just so awesome. I love when you explain what you're doing ...?.you just make me feel so at ease & you make me confident like I can even do that. My name is it going to come out as good as yours but thank you for your videos.
Enjoyed watching your painting (once again). Thank you very much Michael and keep on posting!!
Ahh thank you so much for that , but if only I could open my liquin!!! Even my very strong handsome!! Husband can't open it!!, you will get to heaven for that vlog TFS Mairead in Dublin
- looks eerily like a painting I did in high school, '68,'69 - but better - still the basic shapes and composition are the same. Now I can see how it could've been done; my stones were more grey, lines thicker... what a Pro! I enjoy learning
And I thought it was only me who had trouble getting the caps off bottles of liquin.
Thank goodness i'm not alone.
Fantastic tutorial Michael. I'm loving your video series.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I subcribed to you page, and saw your tutorials. 👏👏👏😃 you'r fantastic.
you are a genius!! thanks for sharing your talent!
As if your painting wasn’t awesome enough, your soundtracks are as equally great! Love to hang out with you.
Thanks Michael!
Great video Michael. Really enjoyed the 'real time' painting and the pallet on view. Your opening music is cool too. I could watch you painting all day (sad i know).
Same here, mesmerising to watch him...have you seen his paintings on his website...

Hi
Obrigado pelo vídeo, ganhou mais um inscrito iniciante na pintura a óleo
Linda pintura 👏❤️
Excellent but I was on the edge of my seat wanting to see how you coped with the reflection.
Surprised to see how much black you use Michael? We were always told at art College not to use it, as everything reflected the colours around it. We were told black isn’t part of the spectrum, however, I think your paintings are great and exhibit real depth. I suppose you’ve got to try everything to achieve the look you want! Paint on Sir Michael.
Beautiful.......thank you
really nice painting.
there's bridge exactly like the one you were painting surrounded by large mango trees. during summer all the trees become laden with green mangos and the pond is full of water hyacinths on one side and some lotus pods on the other. I have been thinking about painting it for a long while now but I am being a bit too lazy to walk that far on the other side. sigh*
I think I will keep painting the ducks till then.
Michael, you do great work. It's easy to see how much work you put into your painting. I was wondering if you use acrylic paint for your base "blocking in color" or is it thinned out oil paint? Thanks. keep up the good work.
I would love to buy one of your old leaf brushes, the one you paint the darks in with.
Hi Michael. I really like your style of painting- Hyper Realism. Incredible color and detail. I have 4 of your paintings, When this painting was finished did you name it "Wild Daisies"? If so, I own it and love it.
Amazing work Michael. Maybe hold on the finished item a little longer? so we can get a proper look.
Nice
Hi Michael. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Your paintings are amazing. I have a quick question : You use a fast drying medium with your oils to speed up drying time, How long do you feel is a safe time before you varnish? I understand you probably do not wait 6 months. Do you decide by touch (see if its still tacky)..? Thanks :-)
I'm really enjoying your tutorials Michael.I use Winsor and Newton ordinary oils,so how long before I should varnish, and what happens if you do it too soon? Off to get a piece of batten tomorrow to rest my hand on,wish I'd done that sooner! Thank you.
lovely Michael, but could you show the painting from the begining? please?
michael, is the brush you used for the glaze just an old ragged filbert? Looks amazing as always!
will the reflections be more distinct in the water;if the water is clear.and viceversa if the water has more sediment? is that a factor? thanks man your the best
thanks for sharing~~!!
Hi Michael. Your paintings are fantastic. Is it possible to go over a painting done in artist oils with Griffin Alkyd. Thank you
hey micheal, do you use acrylic or oil paints ? thanx for your teachings !!
😊
bonjour
Merci
I'm not for sure if I'm asking the question right.im painting water that is a carmel color.will the reflections be less pristine, and is the wind a factor as well.im really just trying to understand.thanks again.
Big fan sir
sorry what is ALKYD BASED PAINT? and what do you use to fast dry the color paint? I have problems drying faster with regular paints. thank you.
Hi Michael, just subscribed. Been watching your videos almost non stop since accidentally finding you on RUclips.
Quick question, what would you say to those who say " if you want photo realism in a painting, take a photo!"
I have come across this criticism at water colour classes. Many thanks for sharing.
Dennis from Western Australia.
una pregunta cuentame que utilizas en ves de lienzo es tabla, MDF'''''? que es y como lo preparas
I have shown your paintings to a friends at work and they have asked "where did you take that?"
_At __0:20__, what is it?_ 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I am using acrylics, what should I use as a liquid to go over by previous days painting?
Which are you using ...ALKYD OIL BASED or ALKYD WATER BASED PAINT?
Hi Michael, Thanks for the response. I also own the painting in your Tutorial 001- " How to paint grass". It is neat that I have videos of you painting my paintings. In some of your videos there is another person to your left. Would that person be David Smith, your dad? I also own 2 of his paintings.
I noticed that there are a heap of framed paintings in the background of the wider shots. Do you frame your own, or get a pro to do it?
I want see from you some watercolor painting.
Could I ask roughly how many hours are invested in an average sized painting that you do? Thank you.
Hi Michael, i love your paintings i live in a apartment and paint in a small area in my bedroom. i use acrylics is it ok to paint in oils in a bedroom do i have to worry about fumes? as i am wanting to try oil paints. Thanks.
Hi Diane. You needbto be careful with turps or spirits in a confined space. The fumes are dangerous over time. Zest It or Gamsol are supposed to be safe but I'd still make sure the room is well ventilated. Liquid is ok, I think.
+Charles Peterson Sorry. Meant to write. LIQUIN
Queria muito pintar assim como você eu fico aqui em casa treinando e tentando fazer pelo menos parecido mas até agora não consegui como se minhas cores não fosse iguais às suas
I'm trying to learn to acrylic paint as part of my post stroke cognitive rehab I'm attempting some thing similar to this but with a canal boat emerging from under the bridge stuck on where to start and ho to do the ripples on thewater any advice please?
I know that you're working from a photo but doesn't that arch have a key stone at the apex?
Hey Michael. this is awesome. are your base coats in acrylic or oil when you block out the colours initially?

Oh my! Aren't you the lucky guy. No wonder you have such a wonderful technique and the ability to paint so well. Wish your camera was so that we could watch both of you at the same time. Is he painting what you paint or is he doing his own thing? Does he have a utube site also?
