The most funny thing is that there was no green color in the original either. The green color color appeared only in the director's versions of Saw, and in the theatrical versions of Saw the color was the most common, as in all films.

When this ending is way better than the actual ending the movie had.
The one thing I’m ok with in the actual ending is the music, the timing of it and the callback to the first Saw at the very end.
Stop hating on it so much I thought it was a great movie and the plot twist was pretty neat too, and I've seen all the other SAW movies.

Its pretty much showing how games are being played outside of the saw timeline that we know and love. It's also showing the influence that John Kramer had on some people.
I'm not saying this is better than the previous saw films we've gotten, I'm just saying it's good for what it was trying to do. Besides it's a spin-off, it's not necessarily connected to the original timeline

The green tint really does it.
It starts with one, small, little thing... this one little incongruity a character stumbles on, that opens a pandora's box; this beautiful collage of seemingly disparate information, from all over the film, all coming together to give each other new meaning. Building, and building, to an explosive revelation that, piece by piece, rebuilds the story of the film into something completely different. All leading to a deadly ending that could've been avoided, had the characters - and we, as the audience - been paying attention to it all. It's a literal jigsaw puzzle; we were handed all the pieces. But no one put them together until it was too late.
That's how the first few Saw films handled their endings. And that's why this style of editing was so masterful for them; it was _earned._
There's a reason that they're considered some of the best twist endings in film history. The cool thing about re-watching the first few films is that it all seems so _obvious_ on second viewing. The films were smart enough to tell us _exactly_ what was going to happen, and still shock us as much as it did the characters.
The spin-offs, just... didn't. And neither did the latter-day films of the series, really. You did a great job of emulating the style, really, hats off to you - but this film could've never pulled it off.

I don't agree with all of the changes but I can't deny this definitely feels more satisfying, the original ending was too abrupt and lackluster and this felt much more fitting.

No lie, I had my doubts about this living up the rest, and I was left blown away. He didn't even have to say "Game over" at the end, because we already knew that. I fucking loved this move. Then the Spyral theme by 21 Savage was the icing on the cake for me.

I had my doubts about this movie, because the few previous ones just felt incredibly silly and cheap and too often had my eyes rolling. But I gotta say it was so much better than I thought it was gonna be.
For a moment, I got the same feeling I got with the original Saw movies years ago with the sickly green lighting, the music, all those little pieces coming together one by one that had my mouth wide open. Hearing Schenk say hes been dreaming of this since he was 12 years old and realizing he was actually being serious. When SLJ was lifted by those cables and mimicked the exact movements of the marionette puppet from the tape, I said out loud "hooooooly shit..!" And Schenk escaping shushing Zeke the same way he did to him as a child after his father was murdered gave me chills. I loved it all

I just seen Spiral and it so overhated I enjoyed it I love the references and the ending I got a little emotional I feel bad, hopefully a Spiral sequel where Dr Gordon returns

I fucking loved this movie. Especially the message that was told. “Cops shoot first, ask questions later.” This one trap proved that statement. The marionette trap. That’s what this needs to be called. Or puppet master.
