Another fabulous painting. Thank you. I have always been amazed at the size of elk antlers in relation to the body... They seem so huge. Love the way you make them so alive, as though they will simply jump off the canvas, and away to the hills...
Hi Chuck ; You have Earned my Respect ;i Thank you so much to share your 3 tutorials with Us ;you are a great Teacher ; bravo a million time Chuck for this landscape painting démonstration i will be for the reste of my life , your 78 yrs hold french fan from Montréal, Québec ;
Once again, I love your painting and your attention to detail. I like to see how you go about painting the details of the elk. Wonderful as usual! Thanks for sharing!
I love watching you bring your paintings to life. I'm watching every step and you're just an amazing artist. I love the buck coming to life. I'm actually trying to paint this one; which is the first time that I've attempted to paint one of your paintings. I know it won't be as good. I'm not using the exact same colors but I'm still using the same techniques, tones, shadow, and blue shade background. The oranges, reds, blues and greys. I don't have the same ones that you have so I'm experimenting to try to get as close as I can to yours. My canvas isn't quite as big so I don't think I'm going to have room for the buck; which I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't just go along with the bigger canvas. I still look at myself as a beginner; so, I thought I was just practicing again but I'm feeling like if I keep paying close attention then I can pull this off. If my blue doesn't start looking like a good shadow then I think I'll go and get myself some Cobalt Blue. LOL Again, I love your paintings.
@@hailstormk9417 Thank You, I bought it in bits and built the engine and everything else myself, the previous owner took ill and could not put it together, therefore he sold it to me.
Hey Chuck, I just bought this amazing painting from you & so glad to see just how the elk was added at the last. I absolutely love it. Yours is my one big purchase of a 'famous' artist.
Love your work Chuck. Big inspiration for me and my acrylic painting. Would love a video going over some of the basic techniques for a beginner like myself, like brush choice, composition, and other tips that helped you get past the novice level. Thanks for great videos!
Chuck, I have an another solution to do the same think: I do exactly the opposite method. ie cutting with a cutter on a cutting board and removing the central part of the animal. Then I put on the canvas the exterior part of the animal and I do not have to worry about the thickness of the line, since I will paint the interior. I think it is faster and no risk of overflowing (eg for very fine deer antlers) Chuck, you are an artist who makes me dream with your canvases and especially your art of living through your videos. Thank you and continue !! The French guy.
New subscriber ❤ you are amazing and I lobe the fact that you aren't the typical artist you have a country background and I love it (I gave that country background too.) 😊
hi chuck, akmost finished my elk ,l used a different pose and background so as not to copy, but l had so much trouble painting him l decided to put him in long grass..looks great...thank you it'll be a gift for my daughter's birthday in may
Fantastic painting! I think you should have, at least, 10 mil viewers! I really like the idea of using the paint to do the outline of the elk drawing. I've always used a white charcoal pencil, over darker areas, [usually on the back of my drawings, and then going over the drawing from the front], and it can get lost...quickly...especially over oils. I'd like to see you do a squirrel going down a tree, with perhaps a nut in it's mouth...if you're ever interested. LOVE YOUR WORK!!!
Chuck about the anamals! What if you can't DRAW? This painting is AWESOME ! I can't wait to paint this,But I'm Afraid the Elk Will STOP me In my tracks! HELP!! LOL!
Love your work Chuck, however, I am noticing the You Tube Channel wont let me view this or any video without interjecting an ad of theirs. You can check the annotations button, but if you change ANYTHING, the resolution, the speed, if your mouse clicks anywhere on the screen the ads will come back on and interrupt your relaxing painting techniques. It makes me mad the way they force a person to deal with their advertisements. Is there another channel that doesn't try to manipulate my computer settings that you may be switching to? Please tell me this is NOT the only option.
Absolutely breathtaking... it's so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes ❤
What a brilliant way to add the elk!!!!
You are some wonderful artist . You amaze me every video . Thank You for sharing .

My husband would say, "He would make a lot of good deer meat. Looks nice and big!!"
Do you ever run into issues with the texture of the background interfering with adding the animals over it? If so, what do you do to correct it?
👍
Hello again, Gloria here...Do you use Masonite for the board backing on your paint boards? Thank you 😄 Keep on keepin' on !
did you use acrylic or oil paint ?
This is acrylic, but I use oil too sometimes
Try charcoal transfer!!!
Again thank you the last settlement I watched pixelated all the fur, not always necessary. Obviously
