I have a Singer Confidence that I have been using for years and has served me well. Last month I broke a needle and the machine jammed with the presser foot down. I fussed and fussed with no success and decided I needed help so I called a local sewing machine repair shop. The gentleman asked what make and model I had and then told me to just throw it in the trash because it wasn’t worth saving. So I turned to RUclips and found your videos. Once I cleared the carnage of fabric and thread away from the presser foot I was able to lift the presser foot up and down. But it still was making a mess. I watched your video regarding the bobbin housing and I followed along step by step. THANK YOU! It worked and my little Singer sewing machine is humming right along. God Bless you and your family Merry Christmas :)
Thank you. Just like laptops, and car door cover removal. It is easy to rip the covers off and end up with broken parts and loose panels. The machine will never be pristine again. With the prybars AND to know what needs to push down is critical.
Thanks. I just ordered these from you. I have the same machine. I need to replace the foot control jack harness. I pulled the screws and decided i needed to look into this more. Im glad that i did. Thank you
Trying to get to the spring on the back for the feed dogs that I think broke. My local repair shop wants $129 to repair it solely based on it being computerized. I ordered your pry tools, so wish me luck!🤞
After countless U-T vids that realy weren't helpful, I spent 3 days trying to undo all those plastic clips & that one little hidden screw. I share Ronald's concern, maybe beefing them up with the "super glue & baking soda" vid you did. I'll be looking into that...Thanks for this vid.
thanks for this! i've taken apart my machine before (exact same one in the video) for a deep clean, and this reminds me it's time to do it again. i used different colors of nail polish to match up what screws go in which hole. i've bought the pry kit, those latches are tricky.
Thank you so much. I spent an hour trying to open a Singer 2259 but your video gave me the missing Informations. Fortunately I got those pryingtools - for opening stuff in a car.
I picked up a Brother LX2763 very reasonably at a thrift store. Motor runs like a top, bobbin winder is perfect.... but something strange is going on with the feed dog movement - I'm going to need to open 'er up. This video was very helpful, thank you! Also, oh my goodness, when you got that open..... SO. MUCH. LINT! I'm fastidious about cleaning my machines but I wonder if there's a big lintball packed deep in there that I'll find when I pry it open!
Update - someone had fooled around with the feed dog height adjustment screw, which was a tiny hex screw. Hardest part was finding a screwdriver bit to fit it! It runs like an absolute champ now!
Hi cool video, question where would I get an on/off switch for my Janome it looks the same as is in the machine you are working on, it just fell apart, I have it removed so just need a new one
I have a singer 7258 110v that i mistakanly connected to 220v. A minute later it turned off. What can i do? How can i get a replacement card for this machine?
They're designed to turn as much profit as possible, to discourage learning to fix it yourself so you'll have no choice but to buy another one then another and on and on.
I am considering buying a new machine for sewing and later quilts. Singer 7285q is marketed as one of the good ones, how is this machine, is it good? Do you have any recommendations?
Any chance you know how to remove the cabinetry near the head of a Singer Legacy c440. Unlike the one in your video, there appears to be no screw that holds it on.
Gracias, mi máquina es parecida pero no encontre ningún tutorial en español por lo que decidí buscar en inglés para ver si encontraba. Me fue muy útil, no hablo inglés pero el vídeo fue claro de como se debe de hacer
Hi. I have a brand new Singer but the screws have noon factory tightened. How can I turn them without stripping the s few head. They just will not move.
I HAVE A JAZZ II AND HOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE CASING OFF OF MY SEWING MACHINE..I ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED A FEW NEEDLES WHILE TRYING TO REPLACE IT
This is a horrible machine. The Singer patchwork machine mostly comes with a timing problem. People use this machine with too heavy fabric that messes up the timing. Oh by the way, I sooo hate the clips ... Great video!
I am hoping you can tell/show me how to remove the top cover on a Singer Creative Touch Fashion Machine 1036, The stitch selector is not working and to get into that mechanism there is a knob with a lever protruding to the right. I can send a picture if that would help. Thanks for any help you can give me!
I have a Brother XM2701 and I cannot figure out how to gain access to handwheel. It's jammed and won't turn at all. There's nothing in the bobbin case and it's the bobbin winder is not engaged, so what else could be jamming it. I mean it won't move even a cm!! But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get inside of the. Machine to figure out what's wrong! I'm on a fixed very tight income and cannot afford to have it repaired and I need my machine! What can I do to get inside and find out whats wrong? Thank you so much for any advice you could give me😊
Hey there I have a bernina 92c amd when I turn it on it just makes a clicking noise, I sent it to the company and they want $900 to fix it i cant afford that ,they said the board is gone amd needs replacing, but I think it might be repairable I tried to get it open but I seem to not be able to get past the main section any advise? Awesome! Great job getting your machine running again!
I have never found anyone else telling the best way to do this. Thank you so much!
I just got on your etsy page and ordered these.
Thanks for the order!
This is the only guide that mentions all the various clips and that you need a pry tool.
Thank you for your help with my borrowed *Curvy 8763* 😁

Such a great video! I'm just hand sewing while I watch your channel! Thanks for posting!
Thank you sooo much, I’ve been stuck on getting this front cover off for a hot minute now ❤️
How did I miss this video! The part of the job I hate the MOST! Thank you for the tips!
Can you send or post a link for the pry tools. I live where online shopping is my only option. Thanks. And thanks for the video.

The endoscope might be helpfull to see clips. When you get some of them open, put something in the gap.

I would live to buy a prying kit but with shipping to Canada will set me back close to $50. Still a useful video though, thank you!
Merry Christmas 🎄! Thank you for sharing.
Blessings
How many times taking it apart before those clips break. It even sounds like junk. I TREASURE my Kenmore 1941. ALL METAL
There is definitely a limit.

Hi Wes - I have an ALFA Next 10 and the issue is it has plastic covers over the screws… how do u get those off?? Thanks!!
So are the bible verses necessary to call the spirits out of the machine, or is that optional? Because I kind of like mine.

Lego key shows itself as brilliant tool.
What is the name of that tool
the one piece i need to take off you did not...that white one on the front 😂
Went to your easy shop and it came up that the pry tools couldn't be found
Thank you …. I was brave until I encountered those darn clips, then backed away slowly. Lol
