- Pokemon Collectors and Investors we have some news that the Pokemon 151 English set is getting a reprint! While this isn't a surprise at all it is very important to understand what kind of prices we will be seeing on sealed product such as 151 Elite Trainer Boxes, Ultra Premium Collections, and Booster Bundles. I break down what this means for sealed product as well as singles and point out what I will be looking to scoop up once the reprint finally hits.

Yes! I’m excited for single prices to drop so I can try and grade them for my PC
I hope they drop more so I can get in. I found zapdos and alakazam bundles for 40 but the rest are overpriced.
I was just telling someone today that I'm not paying these prices for cases of the little boosters, and that I'm waiting for the reprint.

@@Itwasneveraphasecards IMHO, it's the only sealed thing worth me investing in because the other ones are just too big and they'll end up killing me on storage and shipping. I have one of each of the PC ETB's and the UPC for my personal collection to basically display.
I sold my booster display for 440 cause I knew this reprint was coming. Made a couple bucks on it and I'll buy again from the reprint to hold longer term again
This is just the norm now for specialty sets. Get them while you can when they first release, wait till the next Holiday season, and buy again.

my play for specialty sets is to get the pokemon center etb's because you preorder them and they most likely wont get reprinted compared to that of the regular items. especially now that they have an exclusive promo inside as well

Agreed if I learned anything about pokemon since my kids been collecting it’s that they don’t like doing reprints. There was a lot of cards I should have got but I just thought they would keep reprinting popular sets so I waited now I’m not paying what they are selling for.

I think we will see a similar dip as Crown had. I could see the ETB hit $40, booster bundles hit $32 and the UPC hit $90 and with Tik Tok deals they will get fairly cheap to stock up on and should rebound 6 months after the reprint.
Yeah that’s pretty much what I’m thinking depending on the size of the reprint.
Australia had a reprint where the ETBs were $59. That's about $39 US. It only lasted a couple hours tho
Yeah I'm glad about the reprint as my sons recently gotten into pokemon and I used to collect when younger but didn't save my cards, I was starting to collect Japanese 151 but I'm holding out for the reprint for him.
I was hoping for a reprint, honestly. My husband has really gotten into 151 lately (I’m more into CZ and paldean fates right now lol), but the packs are already so expensive and we’re both on graduate student stipends. When I buy my cards now, I buy sealed products that have good deals or loose packs from sets that are cheaper, so it would be nice to be able to find and open 151 again!
Wouldn't it be better to never have reprints and beautiful cards go into the thousands? New art will always be coming out.
@@Animegypsy…I don’t have the money for that, so frankly I don’t care lol. Besides, 151 is in such high demand that the market will dip briefly, maybe for 3-6 months, and then maybe it’ll become the next Evolving Skies because of how popular to set is in general. Either way, there are some of us that got into the trading card collecting game later than others and would like to have a chance to rip packs without (eventually) paying ridiculous prices for them.
@jessicamagri8211 I'd like today's young collectors to eventually turn their cards into a car or college education like the kids my age did. Reprints from wizards is a cash grab for them...basically saying "never again" to the Gen 1 value.

I feel like there is so much hype around this set that brick and mortar stores won’t sell ETB’s for less than $55 becauae people would be more than willing to pay that price for 151 I don’t see a massive drop off on this set unless they reprint it drastically

They just print more of the cards/boxes. 151 elite trainer boxes are above MSRP right now so if they make more the price will come down. Good for collectors

Got 3 bundle display cases at around $300 avg. One still sealed in original the Pokemon center shipping box. Which I was going to ask, do you think it’s worth still keeping it inside the box for eventual resale?
@@RyanChann For the booster bundle displays I feel that the only premium would be for a sealed case of them similar to a sealed case of (6) booster boxes.
Love this set. Pulled 5 zards(2 PSA 10), 1 godpack in english (blastoise EVO), 1 godpack JP (blastoise, charizard EVO), Zapdos aa, mew aa, Giovanni aa, Erika aa. Never got better pulls from any Set so far

My sister pulled the blastoise evolutions in a booster bundle. It was insane! Like seeing a unicorn.

Evolving skies had how many reprints? 151 is the most popular SV set…a reprint for Xmas was expected. See how low the dip ends up

I was able to preorder 151 for relatively cheap last Summer. I opened 2 ETB's and a binder box. I got some big hits but couldnt find anymore sealed lol. I will definitely consider buying a case after seeing how sought after this set was
In regards to a reprint of this particular card set it would be a case by case on the items what popular watch in more demand in certain regions so for instance places like Australia, the UK regions but it’s also depending on how many people are still collecting them like how many people are still trying to complete the set this includes the base and the master set
Just curious if you know why it's so hard to get a distributor right now? I have a local sports card store that want to go into Pokemon, and they're having a hard time getting access even though they've been around for awhile.
They will be able to. A brick and mortar has a much easier time getting in. Specially since they are already established with sports. They may just need to reach out to a different distributor.
Brick and mortar is as easy as calling them and getting an account setup… online is basically impossible though

You didn’t touch on the Poke Center ETB’s. If I can get my hands on a few is that smart or think they will come again with reprint?
If u have them, I’d hold on to them. If u don’t have them, I’d wait and hope they do but highly doubt they will do another wave

I haven’t seen anywhere but have heard some UK sites are letting you. Check with your LGS and see if you can reserve some through them.
Buying a case of upc is better for pack count and price rather than a bundle at 480. Upc all day long
Reprint or just leftover stock? Either way 151 is a fan favorite set so even if more products appear on shelves you will have to act quick. People of all ages love ripping these❤

As a collector who has yet to complete the set I'm glad. But for the investment side of things, speciality sets are not where its at its shown time and time again.

Aren't they already very limited on fable? Makes you wonder how they have time to reprint when they can't even keep up with their new release. 151 was so light, those booster bundles were pretty much outs of stock in a week! I really hope it gets reprinted, great set!
I’m not sure what the Fable holdup was exactly but I thought it was only the ETBs?

@@FruitVideos Most likely, but it could be a Fable only supply issue with one or more of the parts from the ETB maybe like the dice or something being a certain color. I doubt it’s the cards and more of an accessory thing.

The UPC’s are technically a better bang for their buck though, I can grab a ton at Costco for 90 after tax and for 16 packs that’s solid right?

I haven’t heard anything but it wouldn’t surprise me at this point. Still really good pricing currently for Japanese boosters

Depending on the size of thr reprint the prices might not drop by much especially considering demand. Lost Abyss went from like $64 to $59 on SNKRDUNK. There will definitely be a momentary dip, but im expecting it supply to dry up pretty quick.

@@Itwasneveraphasecards it would be smart for them to do reprints in multiple small waves so the market doesn't get shocked like the 151 japanese reprints. The japanese box will climb back up to $100+ but it's going to take some time.

Has anyone actually confirmed the reprint? All I can find is that one post on Reddit with the guy claiming that distros have been asked to put in orders and literally nothing else.
I mean I’m sure a reprint is coming but that is pretty hilarious if we are all using that as “confirmation”
I did state several times that I have not been able to confirm it myself. Something tells me we will be hearing more about it in the next two weeks

Seen it countless times where everyone is convinced that something has been “confirmed” and there is no actual confirmation because people speculate and pass that off as confirmation.

For real it is hard to come buy at retail price. I've seen every other 151 product in stores recently except the binder collection. Booster bundles are also rare in store.

Hopefully this is a flood the market reprint of all the 151 products but I'm pretty sure they already reprinted UPC's and ETB's right around Christmas when they all dropped and the Tiktok deals flooded in. Even before the Costco Zapdos bundles came out in January Macy's and Amazon had Zapdos boxes for $16 and I bought tons of them and they went on sale a few times that month. around that time Target was filling shelves with all the products for a few weeks so I figured they had a short run also. Even Walmart had booster bundles online for $28 from January to June and we were getting them in stores. Interesting enough my LGS just got 2 sealed booster bundle displays on Friday first time sense release for them.
My distro just allocated the booster bundles for September

Damn, im just a hobby collector, and I just bought all the sir's and ir's from 151. Should have waited. I'm still happy for the reprint, im not an investor so i won't keep anything sealed. Excited to open some more 151 packs

@@Itwasneveraphasecards thanks! I’m doing a combo base set binder with 151. Only need 20 or so vintage cards and it’ll be done. Don’t have all the art rares or alt arts from 151 but I’m not master setting. Just want at least 1 card for every Pokémon. Grew up with the og cards/show/movie but sadly my cards were all lost over the years. Been fun to put the binder together again!
Investors don't rip... Even if you want to master its better to buy from market.
Just bc pokemon is giving allocations doesn't mean it's reprint. They printed over 1 billion cards the first wave and did two more waves. They have tons and tons of stock.

To be fair this is where the Japanese reprint rumors came from at least that I saw and they ended up being true.

However, your confident declaration that a reprint has been confirmed tells viewers to sell their product while it's at its all time high. Not to mention you explicitly advise people sell their product. I believe that's misleading.

@@Itwasneveraphasecards delete this video man, you look like a fool especially the "showing proof" of the ETB price trending downwards comments...last 15 sales dating back a week ago show an average of $68.64 sale price and yeah of course itll go down with all the speculation/FUD going on like this....with that said I do agree to not buy until the dust settles more but I would expect them to do a larger reprint of all the sets vs. just a one of, similar to how they did with Japan.
