    just a list of tips
    after deflecting the shuriken at 19:01 dodge forward into the attack and you'll end up behind Owl leaving him open to two vit hits - three or four if you use dead angle (which is especially easy to pull off against Owl) -
    if the True Corrupted Monk uses one basic attack and then a sweep it's not safe to goomba stomp her; if the True Corrupted Monk uses two basic attacks and then a sweep you're free to goomba stomp her.
    if Genichiro runs to your right like at 26:25 use a thrust attack that way you always hit instead of falling victim to your attack missing.
    this goes for both Sword Saint and Ashina, you're able to attack twice while they're charging up their Ichimonji.
    if Isshin jumps back and attacks like at 26:59 dodge into him, you'll have an opening for a vit hit and if played optimally you eliminate any chance of him using that stupid gun.
    at 27:40, while Isshin is charging up this attack you have an opening to hit him a max of three times for vit, and then if you dodge behind Isshin and through the attack you'll have another opening to hit him twice for vit - possibly three or four times if you use dead angle -

    By the way, against blazing bull, you can parry the attack where he does a direct charge from the front and he’ll become stunned forma few seconds. Also, he takes more damage when you attack his head. However, he still sucks and the chip damage is annoying. However, this strategy is by far better than dodging

    Something I love about Sekiro is how, in every Soulsborne game, your in the end of an era, and because of that, many of your bosses are these great and powerful figures who have long since passed their prime. Gwyn, Martyr Logarius, etc., and it gives this impression of "no matter how hard these fights may be, you are fighting their husks". Then you get to Sekiro, and it makes you fight one of the greatest swordsman in Ashina in his prime and then some (and then there's the optional Owl fight where you fight him in his prime as well, or at least closer to it).
    In the grand scheme of things he is much lesser than Gwyn, a god, but it feels so much more rewarding to beat the greatest swordsman in the land at his peak than a Hollow Lord of Cinder.

If you run away, you can bait out the charge attack, which if you perfectly deflect will stun him long enough to get two hits in on his face. Then you can run away and repeat the process. Nice run, few things I'd like to mention.
    It was a wise choice to go with Attack power upgrades for this run as AP1 can be brutal for some of the late game bosses.
    I do agree placing ogre and bull fight this early on as mandatory mini bosses to progress is brutal but there are quite a bit tools available for you to deal with it (Mist raven/Fire crackers for bull and Flame vent for ogre) so it's not that bad.
    I wholeheartedly agree that groups of fights in this game is brutal and sekiro is best when you are put up on 1v1 fights.
    You are meant to fight geni and folding screen monkeys after blazing bull as they both drop a memory which helps in doing Vitality damage to the Corrupted monk.
    While divine confetti and snap seeds are nice to have you can completely fight Cmonk even without any consumables, I mean Corrupted monk is a single phase fight so they had to make her challenging in some way.
    In true monk's sweep followed by a terror attack defense I would say it has a clear telegraph built in (if she does a sweep after 2 normal attacks it's safe to head stomp her and for other instances players can hold directional input to jump away after the headstomp) so it's fine.
    Trust me many players die to the divine dragon on base vitality runs : (
    Shuriken to deathblow is a mechanic which is built in for every version of owl, if you are 1 hit away from breaking his posture deflecting the shuriken teleports you to him for a deathblow.
    Bravo for attempting the final fight for 164 attempts you earned my respect and a sub
    Overall a very nice video I enjoyed it a lot.

    • @DoomWolfOfficial
      @DoomWolfOfficial  11 месяцев назад +1

      Glad you enjoyed the video my friend :)
      I think the only thing I don't agree with is the part where you said it was built in for owl, just because it doesn't feel intentional, it feels more like an oversight about how the posture system works? I think a way to test might be to see if its possible to break butterfly's posture by deflecting her kunai, as it should in theory be the same idea? a ranged attack deflect that teleports the player?

    • @rEHTst
      @rEHTst 11 месяцев назад +1

      Oh no what I meant was it's just an interaction that you can have with all the versions of owl (GSO, OF and IF), I guess it's not intended as your butterfly argument makes complete sense. Blazing Bull is super easy since even with both bell and no charm the chip damage you take from perfect deflects is minimal. So you run to a medium distance, bait the charge, and defect as soon as it lowers its head. This stuns it for a bit and let's you get three to four hits on its head dealing very high vitality and posture damage. Do this loop about five times and it'll probably die before you have to heal, though adding a sixth loop for a heal is also viable.

    Your method of beating Blazing Bull is one I’ve never seen. You made that boss so much more difficult haha.
    Back off, wait till he does his big big charge attack where he runs at you and whips his head into you. If you successfully deflect that it stuns him and you can get in a bunch of sword hits
    Also for Snake Eyes you can jump through her grab attacks

    • @DoomWolfOfficial
      @DoomWolfOfficial  21 час назад +1

      yeah, I tried deflecting him in the other sekiro video I did, and it works much better, but I still don't enjoy being punished for playing how the game taught me lol
      also, you 100% can not jump over them, she has snatched me out of the area MANY times lmao, maybe it was a hit box thing but being airborne does not stop it

      @@DoomWolfOfficial I specifically jump backwards. Maybe that’s why. This video is amazing though. I’m definitely not at your skill level. I just noticed the blazing bull and was like huh I think there is a better way but honestly whatever works

    cant wait for the no-death, base vitality, max difficulty, no revive run for the most realistic sekiro experience.

    I did Puppeteer ninjutsu on Ashina Castle alone Shadow miniboss guy too (on normal enemy, I mean) but it seems doing a stealth attack on both more viable, since blue enemy you puppeteer still can hit you on 2v1 and it's faster.

    • @DoomWolfOfficial
      @DoomWolfOfficial  Месяц назад +1

      I don't think I've stealth deathblowed the boss, but yeah you can still get clipped in the 2v1, sometimes when I'm lazy I let him do all the work and just repuppet him everytime he dies lol

    You do no damage to the blazing bull because he takes real damage when you hit him on the head, also I think that using gourd/dousing powder fire resist prevents you from taking chip damage after a successful deflect

    • @DoomWolfOfficial
      @DoomWolfOfficial  Год назад

      does it completely prevent it? For some reason I thought it only reduced it, either way, thanks for the tip!

    A tip for the blazing bull fight, run really far away from him and he always does this charge attack, right before he lands it perry attack twice and repeat makes the fight super easy

    20:25, you got to perfect stomp the monk's sweep attack so she gets stunned

    • @DoomWolfOfficial

    I did this challenge run and I have to say, Isshin Ashina with these conditions is the hardest boss I have played against and I've played a lot of hard bosses including Level 1 Lingering Will. Do note that I fought Isshin on PS4 (30 FPS) which makes it a lot harder.

    • @DoomWolfOfficial
      @DoomWolfOfficial  6 месяцев назад +1

      I didn't realize the lower fps limit would make it more difficult, but if it reduces the amount of frames you can parry then makes sense
      Anyway, yeah this was brutal and sword saint isshin was one of the tougher fights I've had in any game ever, gg for doing the challenge my friend!

  • @Sandlund93

    You can run and bait the Glock Saint's jump attack, that's how I beat him for platinum in 2020. Last year I went back for another 5 runs, where I beat him the right way. Now, I'm on my way to him on the 11th playthrough, because I need to unlock the Gauntlet and get the skins again (I switched console lol). I still haven't beaten Mortal Journey.

    5:36 This hint is needed because Lady Butterfly slowly loses her Stance Gauge and quickly regains it. Just so that players don’t think that they can’t beat her because of something other than skill issues

      @@DoomWolfOfficial As far as I remember, none of the opponents had such a problem before. And later the opponents are ninjas, Owl and Isshin (both) and monk. So until now there was no need for it. Therefore, this is only mentioned a little in the battle with the immortal warrior (the guy who teaches us the basics of combat)

      @@DoomWolfOfficialBy the way, about the bull. When fighting him, using dodges is very effective. Just hit his fat sides until the bull falls. At least for a normal playthrough, this strategy works very well.

    • @Kagezava
      @Kagezava 7 месяцев назад

      @@DoomWolfOfficialAnd about the Owl(basic one), I saw LilAggy has an interesting strategy. Hit 2 times instead of 3 and you'll send him into a loop. 2 attacks, 2 parries, repeat until fully cooked

  • @Exodius3
    @Exodius3 Год назад +1

    I only realized it after 2 full playthroughs, but if you run at the other side of the bull arena, he will sprint towards you and you can perfect parry him for like a third of his posture and get some hits in. do that 3 or 4 times and the bull is the easiest boss in the game.

    • @DoomWolfOfficial
      @DoomWolfOfficial  Год назад

    20:30 the way to dodge the terror attack is when you jump on her head if press the s key or the joy stick to go backwark you will backflip off of her and you can dodge it. Try it out it makes fighting true monk alot easier. There is a cheese for by using the shinobi fire crackers and attacking five times and then use the fire crackers again you can almost kill her. So use fire crackers attack 5 times then use fire crackers again.

      I know about the directional jump, I just can't ever do it. I mean..no actually though, I hold a direction and wolf either doesn't move, or goes in a direction that I wasn't pushing. Maybe I holding the stick too late, who knows haha

    Cool run. Was it Aggy's speedruns? I've been watching loads of those lately and it also got me replaying Sekiro. Admittedly without the charm and bell difficulty modifiers, because I'm not that much of a masochist.
    Oh, and when you're fighting the Lone Shadow Vilehand in Ashina tower? You can sneak in and backstab his buddy, it doesn't have to be a 2v1.
