Yesterday I was playing some Alter Bridge on guitar, and my dad told me, "You're learning a lot of stuff from that Mark guy!" The catch: I was playing Myles's acoustic solo from Cry Of Achilles.
@Maxim Zubic Myles is often underrated as a guitarist. Except when Tremonti or Slash are rating Kennedy. They rate him very highly, and they know more than most.
Nice. I came here looking for this exact comment. The camera work reminded me of every person who puts their phone down to look at what's happening at the exact moment something actually happens in nearly every fail compilation! Lol. I wonder what Mark thought of it after he saw the footage.
I’ll look forward to the next rig rundown. Hope the person who shot this constructively reads the comments and learns. If nothing else, when the artist purposely points at something and talks about it while pointing at it…you should be recording what he is pointing at and stay on it. We want to see the gear. Look at the knobs and settings and the order the pedals are connected.
Wish they would have zoomed in on all his pedal settings and amp head settings for each amp. That would have been helpful as well. Great video though! 👍🏻
I've been following his live rig and amp settings since the one say remains touring cycle in '05 and his setup and settings change slightly just about every tour. With that said, I think I have a couple pictures I took of his amp knobs from the last hero tour (the one in this video). Could send em to ya if you want
@@italianbaboon9970 he means that you don't need 400 different pedals/fx to make rock music. He has a really basic setup. distortion + wah + couple of basic effects.
Myles runs us through his rig: 8 mins, asks questions to the roadie just to double check. Feeling: “I don’t care, I just play” (and damn if he plays well). Mark: same stuff, but in 2.31 min, nailing every single part of his rig. Love both ways of explaining things. I’m actually a mixture of both when I talk about my drumset: extremely geeky with tons of details as Mark, but absolutely not synthetic as he is. I’m more “Myles”. X2 in length 😂
@@maxzubic that’s another way 😂 But think about that: when you know everything about the construction of a drumset and you need to share this wisdom... well that’s me 😆
I’ve been a South Korean big fan of AB since 2007. Ab is a symbol of my youth. Koreans call it ‘Cheongchun’. It means that bluish spring. AB the Cheongchun! Forever.
Alter Bridge are an amazing band and I have had the privilege of seeing them many times at the Download Festival UK, Mark Tremonti is a an amazing guitarist and kills them PRS guitars with his playing, but I have a one off vintage PRS that I would love see him see him put his riffing skills to, it was made in the early 80's and sounds the nutzs. If you want it please comment 😉🤘
I'm a pretty intelligent person, I understood like 5% of that. So blessed to be in the age of Tremonti. I kind of secretly wish they would do a "ONE DAY REMAINS" type of album again and rule the charts just so the not so hardcore folks would realize what they are missing with the talent this band has. We really only see a few of these every generation and I think so many people are missing out.
Couldn't agree more Consistency of power is absolutely vital for the life of amps , and stacks. I don't think I'd be able to cope with traveling man. I'd be all walking through every spot with a meter just looking for the hot spot. Sweet Mesa boogies dude
Hey Mark! When is that MT100 gonna release? I ordered the MT15 and it is a little beast. I'm excited to see what your big boy signature amp is gonna be like.
That's two full stacks And yes, I enjoy it. What's interesting is when you go to the clinic, and Mark pulls everybody on stage for the rig rundown, he plays each amp separately, and neither one by itself sounds anything like Mark Tremonti. I mean, yeah, it's him playing but, it just sounds like he's plugged in to any old amp. It's only when he kicks in BOTH amps simultaneously that it actually sounds like Mark Tremonti. The question that I have now is whether he's using a true Dry Wet, or a Dry Wet Dry. When you pair amps but only have FX through one amp, you get to play with Dry Wet sounds. A true Dry Wet has amp A (Recto) with no FX (dry) and amp B (Archon) has the FX set to 100% (wet). The Dry Wet Dry has amp B playing more of a blended sound. Think of it like having a mix knob set at 50% so that the amp is playing equal parts wet and dry. I'm bad at explaining it
Mark is absolutely, unequivocally on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). If I had to make a guess, he is probably on 200 - 250 mg per week of Testosterone Cypionate. He is getting older and older (he is 44 here I believe) and yet he is extremely lean and ripped and shredded. Very little bodyfat. Look at the veins in his arms and neck. For a few years, Mark let himself go and carried around some extra bodyfat. Not now though! Mark looks really fantastic now!! This is about as lean as Mark has ever looked ! Mark is a huge hero of mine, I love the guy to death. I am a massive Alter Bridge fan. I am a massive Mark Tremonti fan. Mark, if you are reading this, do you mind saying who your TRT Doctor is ? Is he a Medical Doctor in Florida?? Thanks Mark !! I likewise am on TRT...... Testosterone Cypionate, Deca Durabolin, Masteron Enanthate.
@@oskar_b_0523 Mark appears to have this tick that makes him click his tongue constantly. Maybe not too many people noticed it. He's talking and all the time he's making the (t) sound.
