I play these in the background as I work and I just have to thank you so much for the ability to do so. It brings me back to the Disney of my childhood and precious memories!
Thank You Guys for finding and posting this Nostalgic Gems from the past! Love watching all these videos and thinking about all the great times we had at Disney! We didn't start going to WDW as a couple till 2007, but we each have fond family memories from the early years before that time! Our favorite is still the Stacey Top 7 (Must Do's) from 2007, as that was the first thing we watched at CBR in November of that year!
1997 was the year before I was born! It kind of sucks that I missed the 25th Anniversary of Disney World, but at least I do not have to miss its 50th Anniversary that will be coming up in 2021!
The styles are so ‘90s it’s great. First visited WDW in 2013 so it’s great to see exhibits/attractions I never saw. Lastly, in 97 they didn’t list a website? Know it wasn’t as popular but one of their graphics even mimicked a loading screen
6:54 Man, it's about time I revisited this now that Inside Out 2 is readily available on Prime Video and Apple TV, the latter of which I purchased my respective digital copy from. I think it's safe to say why this attraction continues to be sorely missed to this very day tanks to the mercifully rare appearance of that particular sequel's tenth emotion, aptly known as Nostalgia. Based on the only two experiences I had at that particular attraction (the first was when I was only twelve and the latter was when I just turned fifteen a few years later), I feel like this was one attraction that unruly children might benefit from...especially those who behave like "Kay-loo."
This was the year we moved from Philly to Florida and started really getting our monies worth out of DVC staying at WDW or Vero or Hilton Head 2 or 3 times a year or saving up points to do the Cruise we did the Wonder twice and the Magic twice...such great memories...my mom and dad were the best 😢
Our first visit to Disney World was in March 1997 staying at the Boardwalk Villas and we are going back for our 5th visit this October. These videos really bring back some happy memories!
jnnelson79 Yeah, I was still in middle school for this event. We stayed off property, there wasn't any value resorts yet so a lot of people stayed in Kissimmiee near by and drove into the park So the Resort TV was in those hotels as well. Still.. the hair and clothing.. eesh!
Fury283 My family started staying at WDW Resorts in about 95 or 96 after some of the moderate resorts opened and became more affordable. Before that, we stayed on 192 and/or 535 several times. I remember the Resort TV being in some of the hotels, and somebody told me that Disney sent out video tapes/DVD's (depending on the era) of the Resort TV so that Hotels could broadcast is over their cable network. I'm such a dork, but I'd love to have some of those older tapes or DVD's.
Yeah, we stayed at the Days INN and Suites in Kissimmiee near Old Town. Too bad we didn't record any of that stuff.. I'll have to search for some Old Town vids
Fury283 I never went to Old Town, but I remember passing by it. I kick myself all the time for not recording full ride-throughs of the extinct attractions.
