That was incredible. Thank you so much for this
Freakin amazing best cover of fade 2 black really enjoy the solo at the end
Hope you release 'Nylon-nica' soon 🎶🎸
AWESOME!
wow that violin solo at the end!!!!
Amaaazing
I wanna start playing violin now
Nailed it note for note.
I’m a not-quite-50 year old guy who dabbles with guitar - been playing that solo (badly!) since the ‘80s ...
Hey Thomas, your girl steel the show :P :D ;)
lol.....you just want her
One of my favorite Metallica songs until my Father committed suicide in 2015. The words are too painful to hear. This allowed me to enjoy this beautiful piece of music once again, though with tears in my eyes. Very well done and thank you for sharing this. R.I.P. Dad. And thank you for buying my first guitar.
Damn, that’s actually tough to hear
Sorry for your loss! May God rest your father's soul!
What irresponsibility!!
My one did almost the same when I was 14.
It was so deep hole my soul felt. But now I’m at his age and I can understand that he was thinking mostly of himself than of his family.
Hold on bro
Your dad lives through that guitar of yours mate. Stay blessed:3
So sorry for your lose. My father passed in 2019... the words you've spoken were taken right from my mouth. He bought me my first guitar and taught me classical. RIP to your father 🙏🏻
Almost to the date 35 years ago that this song was released. A beautiful tribute.
Wow!
One of the best Metallica tracks amazing
You mean 40
@@hectortorres8188 No. 40 years would make 1980. Metallica wasn't even formed then.
@@RoaldKoger it was released in 1984, it's 2020. It's more than 35 years old, not "almost"
There is a lot of trash on RUclips. And then, every now and then, you come across a gem like this. Beautiful.
The violin part at 1:02 sounds like The Unforgiven.
The acoustic guitar chord is same.....when you play it in strumming pattern the chord is Am C G Em
I think they both use some alternating E Majors in there too.
Parts of The unforgiven were inspired by Fade to Black..
Sure was. Nice catch. True Metallica fan. Lol👍
Definitely was
wow!
I'm 30 years old and I've been a metalhead since my older brothers have blasted metal since I was 5 old working on trucks, quads and sleds.
This brought a tear to my eye - very well done.
I wonder if metallica realizes the size of what they achieved in the history not of only music but humankind ...
Their music has crossed frontiers between genres, styles and has inspired all kinds of musicians to be better
Amazing what they gave us in the past so greatful for their music but even more greatful and more amazing is, the huge amount of incredible bands that they inspired to start....
Thnks metallica and Thanks Thomas Zwijsen and Violinist what an amazing cover !!
James , Kirk , Cliff and Lars composed and played this masterpiece. They were the excellent Metallica .RIP Cliff
@@cliffburtonnkardesiyim3725 don't forget dave
They’ve played Antarctica. Pretty sure they know.
Quite the statement. I like Metallica, but for a band that's been around less than 40 years it's more than a little presumptuous to make such a statement don't you think?
In 100 years will anyone remember who Metallica was? In 200 years? In 500 years? Remember, the vast majority of the musicians humankind has ever had are long dead and long forgotten.
Don’t say that too loud because if Lars gets wind he’ll demand his share of this RUclips channel’s profits
This was incredible!! Thanks for commenting!
У вас тоже очень круто получилось с этой песней!!!🤟🏻👍🏻🖤
A great song is a great song, no matter what style it's played in. What a beautiful interpretation !
Excellent!!!!!....Metallica would be proud....along with this metal head fan!!!...good job!👊
I've always maintained that outro solo is the best guitar solo I've heard. Absolutely awesome 👌
I have been a Metallica fan since I was 14, now I am 44 and must confess that you've done an excellent job by playing such a hard to play masterpiece which is Fade to Black!
Congrats on that!!!
This rendition beautifully highlights the Ennio Morricone influence present in Metallica's work. Awesome stuff!!
The solo already sounds beautiful on guitar. It sounds so much graceful and beautiful on violin
The dogs are just chilling and enjoying. Amazing!
That was flawless probably the best version you will ever hear with a guitar and violin awesome work guys
It was really good, but I´m not sure if it was flawless. Please if you can, listen since minute 1:25 to 1:31 and tell me. Maybe it is just my perception, but I can not stop thinking about it. Regards.
@@josecarlosdiazarmijo it's still fucking amazing 😜✌👽🔥
That's a pitty I can't put LIKE every time I watch it. I's so amazing. Talented people with good taste for music. Congrats.
This cover gave me goosebumps. Round of applause for such a great job.
Who can dislike this? This was done so well that it can be a soundtrack to a movie
maybe they just hate the way he hold the dog
Stunning rendition, soulful and haunting. Bravo.
I've watching it a bunch in a row
The solo was absolutely perfect
So beautiful I could listen to this all day...
Spectacular. A classical heavy metal song on a very particular way 👏👏
My favorite Metallica song!' Played by my favorite guitar player!
I'll listen to that solo a hundred times more and I think it'll bring me to tears every time!! What an incredible cover!
That unforgiven moment in the beginning was real smooth
This slaps so hard i just love the violin + acoustic guitar combo playing metal covers
It amazes me hearing this to know that a band of rough kids wrote this in their early 20’s.
proof that metal is the closest genre to classical music
Indeed...
Cliff Burton skills in composition produced the best Metallica harmonies
Well, to be fair, they didn't write "this." They wrote the kernel from which this is extrapolated.
@@bragee , he was classically trained
RIP Cliff
Simply beautiful and memorizing - I would buy this if you released a version....
Same
Same
Que coisa lindaaaaaaa!!
Os caras da banda precisam assistir.
True sign of a great song. When you can play it on any instrument and it still sounds great props guys.
Wow is all I can say! What a creative and extremely well performed cover. I was interested in how you’d handle the bridge at 3:33, and my jaw dropped. I can barely manage that deceptively straight forward piece on an electric guitar. Hats off to you both. Please keep these coming!
Отличительная особенность гениальной музыкальной композиции в том, что она простая, сильная и красивая и одинаково великолепно слушается и в акустике и в оркестровке. Это про "Fade to blak"
Посмотрите Русский кавер Orion, вы вообще обалдеете.
Life, it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters, no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free
Things are not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now he's gone
No one but me can save myself
But it's too late
Now I can't think
Think why I should even try
Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death greets me warm
Now I will just say goodbye
Goodbye
🇨🇵Merci à vous deux pour cette sublime version Un régal à écouter et à ré écouter 👍🇨🇵
Thank you so very much for this present🎁. My fav Metallica's song ever.
Wow, this worked out so well. It's almost like this song was made for the violin.
Absolutely amazing performance! Outstanding! 👍
Thank you!

But to tell the truth, the end, the beautiful Lady with the Violin has stolen the show!
I am absolutely speechless.
A música mais linda que o Metallica já fez e vocês conseguiram fazer uma versão super muito massa!!!!! Parabéns!!!
Incredible.
Hey Thomas and Wiki, it's a beautiful cover. Loved it. Keep it going, guys. Best wishes for both of you.
Excellent solo at end
A melhor música do Metallica. Que coisa linda!
Awesome! I’m glad I just found your channel. Easy subscribe.
Playing these solos on a guitar itself is hard enough, but to do that on a violin. Great skills !
So beautiful that got tears in my eyes. I've always loved that song. 👍👏
I am a long time metal fan, a Metallica fan. That solo at the end. That was amazing.
Beautiful!
How could anyone downvote this? This was amazing. Metal & classical go hand in hand.
"Great Performance...
Amazing.!!"

Dúo impresionante.. y el tema ni hablar, todo bien amigos.

That violin solo was incredible. Well done.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful music... Everytime I listen to this, I enjoy like it's the first time!! Beyond beautiful...
Linda interpretação! Parabéns!!! 🌎 Brazil
Best violin ever
The violin also adds more to the solemnity and drama I was in awe and gasped with astonishment when the solo begun and captured the true meaning and essence of the song. Great job to you both. Appreciate this so much🤘😍👏
EDIT: it actually sounds more amazing on a headset
Mind blown, you guys are extremely talented
Came here for the music.
Also enjoyed the dogs.
All hail Metallica! I am impressed and amazed with so many different people waking up to the genius of Metallica. Metal will unite us all. Across ages and genres, countries and hopefully even galaxies. Thats what all the UFo sightings are about. Bastards are downloading Metallica albums. Well done folks. Metal head approved!
Mi canción favorita de metallica, según yo no podía ser más buena! Pero la mejoraste por mil!!
What a musical inpsiration and touches your soul and captures the essence of the song gracefully. I am a big Metallica fan and this my friends is how a Metallica song is honored while giving their own vibe to it and give us their take on this song. Beautiful!
O Metallica é muito bom!!!
I am "at home" in the worlds of Classical music, Heavy Metal/Rock and Jazz, and I rarely can stand "classical" covers of metal songs - especially by my favorite band Metallica. But you two guys nailed it! Thank you for paying so much attention to the important details - and of course, such solos are not easy. Bravo!
Bravo!!!Bravoooo!!!! 👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

Metallica tocou em BH. Está musica não tem explicação ela é fora da curva.
Ficou ótimo! Good job!
Just wow!
This goes to show you that Metallica are great composers.
@@albertocarrilho5839 No, of course not. But hearing different interpretations coming from so many different genres just sticks out. There's been so many covers done it's just uncanny how this song works so well in almost any framework, if you catch my drift?
Sure, but you only need to listen to the original track to know that.
A lot of that was Cliff. He taught the guys music theory he had studied in college.

Awesome cover and I love the violin solo! and the guitar playing is superb!
A little bit of Unforgiven comes in 1:02 ? Great Play ! Well done !

@@valdiradovic9311 okay okay i finaly damn relaized that since the video started i was just focusing the guitar i didn't relalized the violin is playing little but realy little touch. So its been a good video and good mix . Enjoy it
Very haunting, i love it!!!
I noticed a little _unforgiven_ touch at the beginning. :P ;) Amazing!
Yessss! 😁
It fully confused me for a bit
