Most of you know me as the SpongeBob guy on this channel, but before I got into SpongeBob, I loved Winnie the Pooh (and still do)! So I wanted to make a long video where I tackle every single show the silly old bear has ever starred in! So let's start off with the most uncanny series they've made, Welcome to Pooh Corner!

I LOVE Winnie the Pooh and how you really went in depth with the analysis of this iteration. I’m looking forward to many more! And yes those costumes were super creepy. LOL

Say what you will about Welcome to Pooh Corner, but I honestly don't hate this, I only discovered it on RUclips back in 2008, and I was completely surprised that New Adventures wasn't the first WTP TV show and The Book of Pooh wasn't the first puppet series. While I admit that the puppet costumes are a bit uncanny, I've gotten used to it after watching Too Smart for Strangers. The show was like a combination of the featurettes, The Book of Pooh and the A. A Milne books all into one. You get Pooh's love for poetry like in the book, you get Rabbit, mentioning his relations a couple of times and you even get to see his brother, Robert, twice. And Tigger lives with Kanga and Roo, like in the books.
In terms of the characters, I'd say they're still the same as they were, only with Pooh being semi-smarter, Rabbit being less hot-headed and a magician, Eeyore being into dancing, Owl, being into cooking and Tigger being an artist (which I love, given that he's my favourite character and I'm an artist myself). I didn't mind the voice choices for them, and at least we have one recognizable voice actor Hal Smith for Owl and Pooh. And it was interesting to hear Will Ryan as Tigger, as it kinda reminds me of Ed Gilbert's take on him from the read-along CDs.
In terms of the series and stories themselves, the ones they've shown so far I honestly like them and it was great seeing the narrator in person for once, and that being Laurie Main, as I remember him in the computer games and the read-along CDs. My favourites are the spaghetti episode, Tigger, bouncing on leaves, Pooh and Rabbit switching places, Piglet's stuttering and Tigger, trying to do magic like Rabbit.
In conclusion, if you want a creative Tigger, a smarter Pooh, a nicer Rabbit and Owl, being an actual character and not a plot device like later incarnations, then Welcome to Pooh Corner is the show for you. Granted you ignore the puppet costumes and unrecognisable voices apart from Owl and just focus on the characters and stories.
But we can all agree that nothing beats The New Adventures or The Book of Pooh.
