I will never understand why Netflix doesn't hire someone fulltime to scour RUclips for fantastic content llike this. Then scoup them up and sign them for a full movie...
Yeah, hire them for the visuals and basic story then set them up with a decent writing team and a producer with some respect for the genre. Maybe it wouldn’t work but seems like it’s worth a try.
Because these are side projects. Stuff you drop 1-2 hours a day in or in burst. Going professional means you are required to meet deadlines, which is something a LOT of artist can struggle with.
One of the reason is that most of those concept proof videos hide poor or no real script at all. It looks cool, but its fairy dust, exactly like some crazy trailers of not so good movies.
I've been loving art of this scifi universe and characters over social media and I never thought I would see it animated, or even colored. I'm left speechless and hopeful! Great work!
Same. I've been a fan of ben mauros since before anyone knew about him, when he was dropping his very first tutorials. His techniques taught me more about how to achieve realistic art than art school did. I never thought any of the talented, obscure insanely talented artists i followed back then would ever get the chance to see their visions turned into an actual movie. I guess with a proper decade of hard work anything is possible... you start out as a solo crew and just keep grinding until people start to notice and one day you're not alone anymore.
