First time incorporating Blender into this video and using solely After Effects for editing. Things are a bit janky (this video is mostly a test on new techniques) so tell me what you think of it. Thank you.

The magic in touhou is associated with the five elements, it's the Inharmonious power of nature brought by the dragon god.
By power of nature, means it's also fairy's power, different elements can be associate with different seasons, wood is spring, fire is summer, metal is fall, water is winter, and earth is the season hidden between, it can also associate with people, for Marisa she lives in the magical forest, which is a dark and damp place, so Marisa is associated with the water element, and people associated with water can get really good at learning, which is one of the reason why Marisa is this strong as a magician.
A theory of mine everything Marisa calls a spell Love Sign “something” is whenever she copies something because she loves it😅
Marisa is playing noita, the rest of the magicians are playing magicka.

Marisa Kirisame is my favorite character in the series.
I also love putting her in sports games as a two-way player and/or a defender mainly because of her attacking prowess and ability to rob others blind.
Man, shame that her last word wasnt mentioned, as its arguably almost just as representative of marisa as her signature master spark. It's everything that she values, speed, power, and pure flashiness. Great video regardless.
Marisa is one of the fastest... Ironically, the fastest is Reimu-C in SA.

i hate seeing quality video essays being pummeled by the youtube algorithm. even i (a person who doesn't know anything about touhou at all) was extremely hooked!
hi ^_^ i like your video especially since not many touhou fans delve into the combat of these characters, but about her love sign (it might be a stretch) but i have a theory about how she mighve stole those beams from alice, because alice has single focused beams (i dont think they move around like nondirectional though) but marisas beams are rainbow colored like the seven colored puppeeter (alice) and also how zun always sprinkles some romantic subtext between them (track called romantic children from pc98) and it should be noted in one of the bad endings alice gets hung up by marisa and she gets ahold of grimore but that might be dubiously canon… anyway you should totally make an alice overview next!
