Robot Companion for the Elderly

Robot companions integrated with intelligent environments can facilitate independent living of the elderly at home. Using the robotic home assistant Care-O-bot 3, the ACCOMPANY project develops new solutions for providing services in a motivating and socially acceptable manner.
The video shows the use of the robot for fetch and carry tasks, e.g. take over deliveries and how it can assist the user in carrying out tasks on his own, e.g. get a drink from the kitchen.
