Another houseplant that I forgot to add to my houseplant video. My Aloe Vera plant was rooting in water and I found out, that was a no no. Oops! Enjoy!
I saw on a RUclips video, Aloe vera garden, how he did pot up an aloe with dirt higher up like you, and he did get roots higher up. After 3 months he cut off some lower roots. He has a lot of Aloe in his garden. The channel is from the Philippines. The video is called, "How to layer, cut, and repot big aloe vera plant"
Nice video , really enjoyed how you set up everything and I like how you did some research. Great how you were not quick with explaining and getting things done so that I could follow and learn. I've watched several videos before repotting my aloe and yours hit the mark. Thanks I will definitely share this video. 🥰🌟✌
If you want the leaves to stay upright, with a small piece of cotton string or whatever, you can tie them around the middle, but not too tight :) If you place it in direct sunlight, it will stay upright and grow stronger. Barbadensis has no problems adapting to full sun, Chinensis struggles when its small. Both are medicinal, both are awesome

I am glad you enjoyed watching my channel. Aloe Vera's do take up alot of space. When they get to a fair size they do spread their branches. This is my dilemma. But, I will always have one. I want to make a face cream with the juice eventually, but it may be awhile. Thanking for visiting, it is nice to meet you.
I do give it a thorough watering when it is dry, and I mean completely dry. I live in Canada, in a city that is extremely dry. Between the dry climate and the heating system in the winter, they do need a thorough watering.
I've never had such a hard time with a plant my aloe is so weak I'm almost ready to just let them die lol I'm flustered with them do they only like warmth will mild cold keep them weak ?
I'm sorry to hear that. I keep my house at 22C in the winters and they are fine. Mine remains a houseplant all year long. I'm not sure what your situation is, but you say mild cold. What do you mean by mild cold? If you need to wear more than a sweater, I will assume it's too cold. I wear a sweater in the house and my aloe is fine. Is yours by an outside door? It could get a draft, and that's not good. I believe aloe vera plants can take some cooler weather, but how cool depends. Mine are potbound and gets water very little, could that be an issue? I'm not sure what the plants issue is without knowing more. And, remember I am not an expert, I am still learning too. I hope you can figure it out. Aloe vera plants are so beautiful! And, giving up on any plant is heart breaking. Good luck.
Hello and thank you for commenting. Yes stakes are ok. The wooden ones have no glue inside and are made for staking. The metal ones that are coated are also ok for plants.

They do not thrive in water. The less water the better and they prefer very little soil
Thank you for sharing. And yes, I do not water it too much. It thoroughly dries out before I water it again.
