Another great video! Great shots of Arizona One and Lone Star One too! Arizona One is one of my favorite liveries of Southwest with all its bright colors! Just curious, have you ever been lucky enough to fly on a Southwest special livery? Also, just a suggestion, I would love it if you could put where each plane was headed to in the video (or in the description). I always find it interesting to see where each plane is going when I spot myself (I use FR24)! Keep up the great work!
I have flown on one special southwest scheme. Last year, from Washington Reagan to Kansas City, I was lucky enough to get N711HK. Otherwise known as “The Herbert D. Kelleher”. It is one of two aircraft painted in their classic gold livery. Other than that though, no. I have a love-hate relationship with Southwest‘s operations center in Dallas. I kid you not, I have been scheduled to fly on four different special liveries this year alone. And all of them are swapped out to other flights, some with just a few hours before my flight. Colorado One, Arizona One, Nevada One, and the Triple Crown One. The reason I blame Southwest Operations for this, is because the flights aren’t swapped because the aircraft had a mechanical problem or something. Three of the four times the special livery has ended up being at the gate next to mine. So, it was scheduled to operate my flight up until, sometimes an hour before my flight, and for some reason Southwest Operations switches them to a different flight. So, I have to sit on my plane and look out the window at the special livery that I was supposed to be on 😆 😂. I think they are doing it to me on purpose at this point. 🤣. In fact it’s not even just four trips this year, it’s has happened three times in the last month. My last trip it was Triple Crown, the trip before that it was Nevada, and the trip before that it was Arizona. In fact, you saw Arizona One here. It was supposed to take me back to Dallas love field, for whatever reason they swapped it to the gate next to mine to go to Panama City. You will see Triple Crown One and Nevada One in my next Dallas spotting video. They were going to take me to St. Louis and Tulsa respectively. Both were swapped to Chicago, and Phoenix. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️. I’m telling you, I swear someone at Southwest Operations sees my name on the flight list, and says 🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️. No! Send that plane somewhere else.
@@sla31 Oh yes, I remember watching that video! Although it's not a state livery, I still consider it a special just because there are only two left. Back in 2015, I flew HOU-MSY and got super lucky to fly on New Mexico One, the only special livery I've ever flown on despite my countless flights on Southwest. Actually, that flight is what made me start making flight videos on RUclips! And lol that sucks so much, but I also know the feeling! Last September I flew HOU-BHM and was scheduled to fly on Florida One and of course it changed to N7857B the day of my flight. Then a month later in October I flew MSY-BWI and was scheduled to fly on my favorite livery, Louisiana One. It was scheduled to arrive the night before from HOU, but it changed and ended up flying to Denver. So then, the next morning I arrive at gate B2 at BWI and a few minutes later Louisiana One pulls up right next to me at B4 from Denver. I was so mad as you can believe! You can check that video out on my channel. But yes, I also can't tell you how many times special liveries have been parked next to my flights without me on them. I try so hard to fly on routes where I find special liveries to be frequent, but I never have any luck. I always find it so strange though why Southwest seems to do so many tail swaps and last minute ones at that. I've literally had my plane change like 4/5 times before in 48 hours. Darn Southwest Ops I tell you, I think we have the same issue! :(
I think it's so cool this airport is a hub for Southwest Airlines!!!!
Great spotting! I love the special livery!!

Sounds like we’ve both had about the same type of luck. I’ve flown on special liveries on other airlines. But no others on Southwest.
@@sla31 Indeed. And oh okay, yeah only Southwest for me so far...

It helps when Southwest sent some special liveries in! Thanks for watching my friend!

Lone Star One.
Is that plane for Texas flights only?
No. All of Southwest’s special liveries fly through their whole system.
