Thank you for your recipe. I fed it to my kids for dinner and a few hours later they asked for more before going to bed. This is coming from a single father of 3, still learning how to cook.
First of all if you have had two kids you've had enough time to learn how to cook. Second of all did you feed them any f****** thing else or did you literally just give them a bowl of plain white f****** rice??
@@MISTIQUE1717 no need to be so rude and tone down those remarks. Stop assuming he's only providing rice for his kids and honestly whether he's late or not in learning how to cook, it doesn't matter lmaoo. He's a "single dad" so at some point probs his wife was the who cooks all the time.
The most asian mom comment ever: “this is Andrew’s cup in the sink that he didn’t wash” *moves cup to the side while tolerating her kid’s silly video-making antics*
@Mike. Hunt. Gee, what an idea. A person commenting on a video in hopes that their comment will be met with 'likes'. The concept is almost too complex for me to grasp. Edit: _like if you agree_
Because he's not funny. He's talking like this is some sort of joke/parody, but everything being said is entirely valid as an instructional video (other than the exclusion of the finger method). He's just being weird.
I liked how the mom showed us how she makes her rice, but I felt like the narrator needed two hard slaps to his face. The mom totally saved this video.
God, all of the countless videos on RUclips of just white people turning their rice into bowls of mush, and this lady makes it look so easy. I am highly grateful for this video, thank you both very much. Edit: Just tried this method. Rice was magnificent just as I expected.
I have used this technique for years for every rice I know (basmati, jasmine, long grain rice) and it always turns out perfectly. This video was a life changer for me
Jym Buss Was this really the narrator's mother? I agree with you that the tone was unnecessarily condescending. The mother was cool, though, she talked back to the narrator like he was the simpleton he talked like.
I don't think it was condescending, I think he was just trying to mimic your typical narrator voice mixed with being a little silly. I think they're cute together too :)
Your mom is so splendid!! I love her composure!! Thank you so much for your video, as i am a first time mom, and i also eat rice alot....i just couldnt cook it properly!! She is really a beautiful blessing!!
Cute video! Thank you two, your mom is adorable :) I love her old school way of measuring water, reminded me of my grandmother when she taught me how to make Egyptian style rice. I was hoping you would show the brand of rice you use.
great video even if the steps were like for a child, but some people need that kind of learning and there is nothing wrong with it. i actually enjoyed the detailed steps and everything said in this video, it was fantastic except what kind of rice do i need? i know you said white, but i know there is many out there
Hi Greg, Thanks for the comment! Any typical asian white rices can be cooked in this way: jasmine, calrose, etc. Indian rices such as Basmati should be cooked with slightly less water (1.75:1 ratio), but the process should be the same.
Well I just bought a tiger rice cooker, and since my cousin is Cambodian, she has been helping me cook more Asian foods and that rice cooker does wonders (: Thanks again for this video though!
i don't know why i felt so sad watching this video… like, you and your mother i don't know… something strange passed throw my mind ,thank you for the video
I love your tutorial beforr I had a rice cooker you taught me how to make good rice !! I usually use a rice cooker but lent it out .. needed a reminder of how to do stove top thanks so much !!!
I don’t cook rice very much. But every time I do, I always come back to reference this video bc every time I follow their method the rice is absolutely perfect. Thank you 🥹
Omg love this video know I can make my rice I really want anytime now. But this video help me figure out what I was doing wrong, thank you for this amazing video

I didn't throw away the water after rinse. I clean the rice 3x. And all the water from rinse, i used for plant. Good for plant to grow.. 😁
