everytime I saw OLIVER as a kid... my mother and I would yell out at the TV at the same time - "OH NO!!! NOT HIM!!" - never seen anything good come from him

How awful! That bedroom is the most common "cliché" in the whole world... and that animal head would have me make nightmares :o Definitely don't like it. But the dining room is great. A constant with that designer, when he presents the project I wouldn't bet one cent on it, and once it's done 80+% of the time, I just love it. BTW that vinyl is superb.

I love how positive the show is compared to it's earlier seasons.

I can't believe these are professional designers. This episode wasn't as bad as some I have seen, but many episodes the designing is subpar.

Battleship gray?? Maybe it's my computer monitor, but it looks purple.

My father was in the navy. He would indeed call that ship side grey.

Why do people tend to go with the trends of the day? Far better to choose colors that one will be willing to live with for years = will stand the test of time. It is my considered opinion that gray for a wall color is too trendy & has been overdone to the point of frustration! Still, each to their own!

Why choose a flooring color that needs other objects in the room to draw the eye away from it? Seems to me that common sense dictates choosing a flooring color that would have the room looking great even it it were bare. I just do NOT get it! It sure does seem as though the "expert" helper has all the say & the family members working on the rooms have none. That is NOT right!

Thankfully I'll never have to use either one of the designers. Man, both rooms suck in a HUGE way!

End result concerning the dinning room = only pleasant features were the fireplace, the white woodwork, the window coverings & the window seat! Too dark a wall color & the added "artwork" = extremely poor taste...I am surprised that the family members working on that room did NOT put up a winning fight to NOT include that "art". Room would get a "Needs Improvement"; with the bedroom getting an "Do Over Immediately" from this teacher!
