Spanish is my second language and the fact that RE4 took place in Spain was like a weird little flex for me. RE5 is my favorite RE. I would be proud if I was from Africa because the environment combined really well with the theme of the game and made it something unique.

Problem is Capcom white washed the game by changing Sheeva to Jill on the complete versions cover. Like they were ashamed to use her. PS5 release had Jill & Chris on the cover.

One of the other game journo argument was that Capcom "innacurately depicted Africa" but that is also immensely dumb. First of all this is a fictional country in West Africa. And second in RE5 we see like 0.002% percent of the entire continent so WTF are they talking about And BTW there are parts of Africa that look very similar to RE5 locations. Does that mean they believe most of Spain looked like the RE4 parts or that Romania is supposed to look like it did in RE8? Or maybe they think most of the European continent is nothing but medieval castles, villages and forests.
The Co-Op was amazing. They don't make co-op games like that anymore. They want you to buy your own $500 console, and spent $100 on your own game, on your own screen.

I love resident evil 5 for one reason. It is the only game my wife and I have played together and we played it through to completion. My wife is not interested in video games what so ever but we had a blast playing through that game together. Fun times.

I never thought about race when I played. I just saw people versus zombies. I liked the co-op and RPG elements. The only time I said anything was about playable characters was that when I had to play as Shiva, she was left handed but for some reason the game placed her forcibly with no option on the right side of the screen during aiming which threw me off so I didn't want to play as her.
