Is there ever a time when it requires too much floor leveler? I flip houses and try to do my best to do the absolute best I can and fix any and all issues. I always buy at least 1 bag. I also had an extra 10lbs or so left over from my last house. However there are so many areas, some are 1/4” deep up to maybe 3/4”. I bought 5 more bags hoping that will be enough. But is there ever a time when we have to wonder if there is other issues?
Awesome job as always. I like how you go above and beyond with your floor prep. I just got me an Airsled but mines not a Crain. Still work's amazing though especially when working by yourself.
@@FloorsbySouthernboys great video. I get it. There’s always I mean always unforeseen things. But I would love to see a video of you using the air sled. I’m on the fence woth it
I’m doing my living room carpet and I’m running into and issue. Can you tell me how to seam pre padded carpet and send me to a video that will show me how to do it? Thank you
I always find it hard to charge appropriately for prep. Especially when it being this much sometimes you charge too much and sometimes he charged too little. But all in all I think it works itself out in the end
I charge a flat rate for prep, along with a slightly higher rate per yard/piece. I hate that big box stores incorporate these labor fees into the material markup. Clients think prep should be free or included with standard labor rates.

Love the super glue trick!! Keep it up man!!
Super glue is a must when it comes to any vinyl plank job in my opinion

I been doing this all my life you can say Family thing. I won't be afraid to admit, I have learned stuff watching you also. :)
😀👍
Most customers want a price before you start so It’s really hard to just do any prep that you want or feel the job needs.
Correct, you always have to explain that there will be unseen things, and that is an estimate, estimate
Where can I purchase that little handheld joint planer?

They sale them at Lowes
How do you decide where to start the plank in a room? I've been doing carpet for 10 years and really want to get into installing hard surface.
what floor patch product do you use/prefer?
Wouldn't you rather go perpendicular across the original hardwood floor?
Really not too concerned about it with a floating vinyl plank

Man that's a lot of prep. Hopefully you got paid what it was worth.
Not really, I made OK on the prep, but it should have been more
