I show you how I like to layout and start my first rows of flooring. This is usually the hardest part but if you do a good job it makes the rest of the floor go smoothly.

Nice tips and thanks for sharing your knowledge. Great choice in wet areas like bathroom.
Thank you man for actually going through it
Great video. Detailed explanation. Thanks
You're welcome!
Do you have a video on laying down the sub floor and what I need to seal the joints
I do!

@@BrentDarlingtonthank you 😎
Do you perhaps have a video on how to apply the glue in tricky areas (under kitchen counter edges, etc).
It's tricky to not make a mess. We usually just tape areas off. Clean it up with water before it gets too dry. Try a paint brush to spread it. Maybe I will make a vid in the future. Thanks for watching!
I’ve never done an LVP, seems like it could be easier than a snap together laminate though.
It's a lot of work getting the plywood down but it's much easier to lay. Great on concrete, less prep just some patching if it's not in bad shape
It’s gravy train
These non click planks are more durable too,as opposed to click floors. When water or pet spills get between click floors, they’ll start to swell at seam points. This non click won’t swell, unless its totally submerged,do to hot water tanking blowing.
I love these non clicks in commercial grade.
Cheers!!
🙏🏽🥰: Thankyou so much this helped a lot …. Have an awesome day.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video. Are those underlayment on the concrete floor? If so, how did you secure the underlayment? Why did you apply glues directly on the floor without the underlayment?
The underlayment is over OSB. You can go directly onto concrete, you may just have to do some patching first. I have this video that shows more detail: ruclips.net/video/KKKpOpWfbCk/видео.html
When I did our bathroom a few weeks ago... learned real quick not to step in the glue. 🤣 I was stuck and legit had to jump out of my shoes into the hallway. 🤣🤣
lol, I have stepped in the glue a few times. Once it dries you cant see it and forget. I've never had to jump out of my shoes though!
Good job bro
What underpayment are you using? Looked like in your other bedroom video the sheets were pre-marked for where to nail, which leads me to believe it’s specific to flooring. Thanks!
1/4 birch premium underlayment. Yes, made for flooring. May have to go to a flooring store to get it. Sometimes I see it at big box stores but it is only 4' x 4'
I did not see you applying the glue to the plywood or the OSB sheathing. There was one part where you did apply the glue
I don't understand. Glue the plywood to the osb? Or applying the floor glue?
If I have a way to get in & out of the room with glue on the concrete, is it ok to start at one wall or the other?
Yes but you will still want a chalk line for the first row. Walls are never straight!
Can i have the name of the Glue you put in the floor plz?
I use Mapei 373 normally. I think I used a Roberts glue here but the floor may have a glue that they require for warranty
Did you just cross your fingers that the walls were straight? I was halfway through two rooms doing this before realizing I’d be at a 20 degree angle by the time I reached the 4th room. Shit is a nightmare
That's why you try to centre it or just work off a wall or area that you think will be the most noticeable. I usually try to be straight with the kitchen or down a main hall way. Can't win if the walls are way out though
What was use on the floor joints?
Ardex Feather Finish.
Which flooring is that? How's it holding up?
It is Renaissance Vintage 9 Winterwood. Great stuff, holds up very well.
How long is the tack time on that glue product
It will say on the bucket. All brands are a bit different
What glue u using
I think i used a roberts for this but Mapei eco 373 is what I normally use
How to to make sure that first centre line is straight?
That's why you use a chalk line. If done right the chalk line is straight.
What type of glue can I use to lay some LVP that has popped up?
Go to a flooring store that sells it and buy their glue. You can sometimes get small tubs of it. The stuff at the big box store usually isn't very good
@@BrentDarlington ok mam thanks for the speedy response.
Luxury vinyl crap.
Is there something else you prefer?
@@BrentDarlington world is better off with level headed and capable people like you in it. Your vids on this topic are the last 5% of confidence I was looking for before my first go.
Dude I have laid a lot of flooring in my life and LVP is definitely not crap.. I been installing flooring every day of my life since 2000 and it’s what I put in my kitchen n bathroom.
How long do you get before the glue sets ?
Usually ready to lay in an hour. This glue had an open working time of 10 to 12 hours, I've used glue that was good for 24hrs. Put it down at the end of the day and lay in the morning
