A couple things we know now that this update is live: I have been told that MartinARG was correct, the T5 Hirogen Escort has NOT been removed from the Infinity Lockboxes. It's prices on the exchange is still a bit higher than normal, but it should settle down soon now that we know it's not going anywhere. Additionally, we also know that the cloaking ability on the new Khitomer Alliance gear set will NOT disable weapons, so we don't have to worry about this being used as a troll ability in randoms.
You are probably right... We're getting this because they're doing something with the Hirogen soon. Similar to how WoW will sell a mount that is just a model from the upcoming expansion.
The new space set sounds like a tanking set, except for the cloak effect. The fact that it does anti-proton damage and the go to weapon for tanks are those anti-proton beams that bounce to new targets would seem to be a good set for a tank. The cloak effect is the weird aspect to it though. I guess we will have to see the effect in action.
More Herogen content. I am interested as they have some of the odd and interesting tech. Range 12k weapons and other fun gimmicks. Hope we get a full sniper suite of weapons.
Glad the turn around on this event was fairly quick, I missed my event campaign by one run for the last stage due to personal life things. And no offense to the devs, or the ship art team (as always the ship itself is gorgeous) but wake me when they release the Lamarr-class :D:D

I've been wanting T6 hirogen ships for a long time. This definitely could be better though. I still fly my Hunter every now and then. I hope the Apex gets a T6 too 🙏 I just can't wait to finish the campaign.

The Hirogen console might have a niche in disabling carriers, and a few other strategies like Romulan Plasma Torps and mines. The Alliance core set fleet closk apparently does not shut shields down when used and actually boost recovery. It may be fleet wide Cloaked Barrage. Romulans are going to have a field day with this.
I don't think it's as "out of nowhere" as it first appears. Looking at what lockbox ships they've already released this year and from what source: Picard (Duderstadt), SNW (D'Var), [Konnie 2 in Promo], STO Original (Aetherian Revelation), Discovery (Credence). I'd argue it's to early for anything from Prodigy S2, so that left them with either something from Lower Decks (Obena when?) or one of the few T5 lockbox/lobi ships that didn't have a T6 yet (the others being the Lobi Hirogen Apex, or the Voth Bulwark Marital Aid). Obviously they went with the latter, and must be saving a "new show" ship for the end of the year.
I have the T5 version at X2 just because it's the closest looking to Serenity I could find. Wondering if it would be worth upgrading to T6 since I seem to do just fine with the T5X2 one lol. Although specialized seating would be nice...
I know it probably won’t but will the ambush mechanic also trigger off ambush point marker because both this console and the Boff abilities trigger a similar ability
EVENT CAMPAIGN REWARD INFO: The T6 coupons from this years event rewards don't work on anything that's come out for the last 2 years. They may work for some things but it's a bug they will likey fix. Just so everyone knows the pure BS they've pulled. 2 years is rotten and stupid.

I feel like my ship is very good an Mirror Constitution Warship, i run antiproton and i watch all the time your videos. I learn new things every day. Hope at the end of this event i will make the right choice with my ship for the year event. I play almost every day for the big event. I am asking now you chat or you Stu, is there a must have ship from the year event with energy weapons build?
I wouldn't say there's a single must-have ship for Energy Weapons from this year's event campaign. Well, unless you're running a Plasma Energy Weapon build, then you definitely want the Gorn Hunter, its trait, console, experimental weapon, and the plasma quad cannons it comes with are fantastic for Plasma. But beyond that, there are so many variations of Energy Weapon builds that it really depends on what you're looking for. If you're running Phaser, the Excelsior II might be worth looking at for it's console. If you like broadside builds using beam arrays, the Constitution III's trait would help with that. If you are looking for a nice intel ship trait go for temporal surge that lasts 10 seconds with a 45 second min cooldown which is easy on intel ships and actually usable where this is 1 second seriously 1 second come on and $200. I will take the Heritage bundle over this any day and at half the price. For $200 plus dollars on a single account unlock they really need to do more for us the players to build some value because I dont see it in this ship at all. Thanks for the video Stu!!
Also stat wise the Legendary Jem Hadar escort is better and cheaper, and its an account unlock. Overall unless you love the look of that ship it would be better to skip it.

With the holobolt, if it does have the 12km range, that still puts the shooter within range of fights which makes that console more attractive there.
I have fond memories of the t5 hirogen escort, and I am getting this ship for that reason alone. My hirogen tetryon cannon build shall ride again!

Did anyone ever figure out that AD imposter a few years back?
I have the ship got it spending around 70 for it and its good not a meta ship but the holobolt does good damage but not top damage.

Let's say that the experimental weapon fires 12 km. Even if it is strong, you are only firing ONE weapon. Your DPS is going to suck. 🤷
Don't really care about the Hirogen. I would prefer a Ferengi or Orion ship if we aren't getting a Fed/Klingon/Romulan.

Yeah, this is an excellent point, I'd take Temporal Surge over this ship's trait.
