The bassoon has a lovely sound, it deserves to be heard more often. This young man is brilliant, what a beautiful tone he has. I think many kids will hear this and want to take up this instrument. You can see him having a career as a soloist and orchestral musician at the highest level.

Even if you didn’t play the bassoon, just watch the principal bassoonist in the orchestra. Her face says it all……..”darn your good”. Kevin I hope you are still playing.

Absolutely amazing, Kevin! I am speechless, and you know how rare that is for me. Remember, when you perform at the Kennedy Center, you are required to reserve a seat for your old teacher. ;-)
when i first saw this i thought it was incredible because of the tone quality, phrasing, and breath control, but now i have a friend who is a bassonist and i understand how difficult it is to get those high notes sounding this immaculate. HUGE respect, this sounds amazing
