Can we also appreciate the guy playing the kid - he NAILED a teenager who is realising he does NOT belong there and is trying to be brave while being terrified out of his fucking mind.
The exact same feeling all those kids felt too back in ww1 😢 some boys were guilted into going by women giving them a white feather as an act of shame and called them cowards too for not being in the military. But sadder too he’s based of the true story from a veteran. When lemmy wrote the song he watched a documentary. A veteran said he held his dying friend, both only 16, his friend was crying for his mother until he went quiet and cold
@@charlottephillips5794Thats awesome, I hope he has a good career because that sort of nuance is very hard to do and what makes a great actor - he has an awesome future ahead IMO
This song caught me off guard. As someone coming from a military family, I wasnt prepared for how powerful this was. Great song and great job. I loved this 1.
Welcome to Sabaton. This song was a cover of a Motorhead song, written by Lemmy Kilmister. For their originals, lead singer Joakim Broden and bassist Par Sundstrom are the primary songwriters. Formed in 1999, they are also the only original members. The current lineup includes guitarist Chris Rorland (joined 2012), drummer Hannes van Dahl (j. 2014), and guitarist Tommy Johansson (j. 2016). Yes, most songs are about Military History. Joakim doesn't have a huge vocal range, but he will use all that he has. Joakim will also tell you that Tommy is the best singer in the band, he does covers on his channel. To try an original, check out any of the animated story videos: Night Witches, No Bullets Fly, Lady of the Dark, The Red Baron, and The First Soldier. And as we get closer to Christmas, the music video for "Christmas Truce".
Lemmy wrote "1916" after seeing a documentary on the battle of the Somme (Lemmy was a history buff). The song reflects a part of the documentary that affected him deeply; a veteran of the battle breaking down as he talked of holding his best friend as he died.
Welcome to the world of Sabaton. Hannes, the drummer, is married to Floor Jansen of Nightwish. I think you will enjoy all their videos but recommend that you check out 'Christmas Truce' next. It is based on the true story from 1914 when the 2 sides stopped fighting for a brief moment to meet in no-man's land to celebrate, exchanging gifts and playing football. A nice surprise awaits during the credits at the end. Great reaction to this video by the way. I know it's a bit early, but Seasons Greetings from Cardiff in not so sunny Wales. Take care.
The saddest part about the Christmas Truce is it never happened again because by Christmas 1915, men on both sides had seen enough of their friends die to the enemy in horrific ways that they truly hated each other.
Interesting fact their Drummer is married to Floor Jansen! “Hannes Van Dahl (born Karl-Hannes Dahl, 18 January 1990) is a Swedish musician. He is best known as the drummer of the power-metal band Sabaton.” It’s an interesting song and depicts the horrors of war quite graphically, which is something Sabaton are good at. A great follow up to this would be Bismark, which is a story of how the mighty German battleship that was built to be supposedly unsinkable - they didn’t account for the British navy and airforce tenacity! Great reaction, I really enjoyed it! 🌹 RIP Lemmy, never forgotten 🥲
As a veteran of 3 wars and 21 years of service this song definitely brings a tear to my eyes. We can never forget about our collective history we are all impacted by the decisions of our politicians who send us to fight. We served to defend our countries and a soldier does not have a say in where we are sent. Most countries have an all volunteer military and if people didn’t join then we would have mandatory service. That is something that people should remember when they disrespect monuments and our veterans. Thank you to all my fellow veterans who have served in honor and defense of your country!🇺🇸
Tina Guo, that plays the Cello, is a Award Winning for her part in "Wonder Woman" Soundtrack, she have played with Sabaton on a few occations both official Video & on Stage at Festival. I've seen and heard this Song several Times both the Original with Motörhead and this one, and I'm tearing up everytime. Remember good Music makes you listen, Great music makes feel.
Finally! You got got round to Sabaton!!!! You sure decided to dive into the sad end of Sabaton though. The outro was played by Tina Guo on her Cello (she also played with them at Wacken 2019 .. The Swedish Pagans video of the song is online, as well as on the Steel Commanders music video) If you want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these: (These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use) [live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising [Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krig (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling [Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, The Final Solution, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama, Cliffs Of Gallipolli and The lost Batallion [Music Video's]: Bismarck, Christmas Truce, Steel Commanders, Defence of Moscow, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising, The Future Of Warfare (Building Blocks Video) & Seven Pillars of wisdom [Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's) [Covers]: Kingdom Come [Offical video] and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.
As people have mentioned, this is a cover of a Motörhead song. The two guys standing in the door opening at 6:03 are Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell, the drummer and the guitarist of Motörhead. The picture is of Lemmy Kilmister who was the bassist and singer of Motörhead and the guy holding it is Eddie Rocha who was the tour manager of Motörhead and the current one for Sabaton.
Yeah, "No bullets fly" and "The night witches" both animated and "En livstid i krig" live from Gothenburg (with subtitles on) is my next recommendations with Sabaton.
Cover of a Motörhead song written by the one and only Lemmy Kilmister, after he saw a documentary about the battle of the Somme. RIP Lemmy! You should def. listen to the original song by Motörhead. It's basicly a funeral march, like this battle and many others in WW1 was.
Welcome to Sabaton you will learn so much about history that you never knew about. they also have their own "Sabaton History Channel" on youtube were they cover the history of the song topic. Always watch a Sabaton video till the very end. So keep in mind they have Official -Music video's / Lyric video's / Animated story video's / live videos so you got alot to choose from. you got 10 albums to pick from but "Christmas Truce - music video" should be near the top of the list
It`s two songs you must react to with Sabaton, Christmas Truce and En livstid i Krig, Live from Gothenburg. And don`t forget the subtitles on the last one! You wont regret it!!
You’ll love “Christmas Truce” by Sabaton. Tis the season… and it’s so impactful and meaningful. Also “Bismarck”, “The Last Stand”, and “En Livstid i Krig” Live in Gothenburg are all amazing as well.
As others have already pointed out, this is not a Sabaton original. This is a cover of a Motorhead song, written by Lemmy Kilmister (RIP). That's why you see Phil and Mikkey of Motorhead in this video, carrying Lemmy's photo, as well as the Motorhead flag being displayed alongside the flags of other nations. This is, however, an excellent sampling of the musicianship of Sabaton, as well as their ability to not only bring history back to life, but to make it interesting enough for others to want to research further. They have their own separate RUclips channel, "Sabaton History", which digs further into the material they select for their songs. Also, much of the imagery in the "parade" scenes refers directly to other Sabaton songs. Examples are the woman in uniform emerging from the alley (Lady of the Dark), the formation of biplanes flying over near the end of the song (Night Witches), and the bomber that flies over with the biplanes (No Bullets Fly). For another cinematic-level video, as others have recommended as well, see "Bismarck" and "Christmas Truce". And, as always, let them play out in their entirety...there are important messages, and sometimes easter eggs, revealed at some point after the song proper has ended. Some of them are buried in the end credits.
Oooh, I love that they added other elements from other videos into this one. Of course I had no idea, but I still love that. Also thank you, I was wondering who was in the picture they were holding. Of course, upon rewatching it again (while I was editing this video), I noticed a lot of other things I didn't mention... and this was one of them! Cheers.
This is the cover of a Motörhead song. Lemmy Kilmeister wrote this song as a tribute to those who fought in the battle of the Somme. Sabaton took it and put their twist on it. It’s amazing truly.
Koality now you need to do Christmas Truce. BUT an warning make sure you watch all to the end and listen to the voice at the end an couple of hints 1: shes married to the drummer of sabaton 2: she's an voice you will know from another band which you have reacted to. last hint watch for her name in the credits. GREAT reaction on 1916
Damn, I think I pressed the like button at least 10 times. I wish I could press it a 100 times and it counted 🥺 Loved this reaction, looking forward to more Sabaton reactions. My favorites are the whole Carolus Rex album (about the Rise & Fall of the Swedish Empire). But if I'm not gonna be biased, and stay on topic (WW1), then I recommend "Christmas Truce". Greetings from Sweden ❤🤙
Oh my gosh that's so nice, thank you!!! I can't wait to listen to more. Definitely excited for Christmas Truce - but I'll explore the others too! Cheers from Canada. 🤍
Very nice your reaction. First few times I heard this one I couldn't keep it dry. It really hits very hard. Now I can look at/hear it without tears. However, the moment the cello kicks in, I'm lost again and tears will come.
Excellent reaction. Sabaton videos tend to have high production values while their music highlights the sacrifices, honor, and humanity that arise from the cauldron of war. Interesting tidbit, Joakim never intended to be the lead vocalist as he joined the band as the keyboardist and has no vocal training or background. He had written several songs and the band asked him to sing them so they could understand the melodies. The band had no lead vocalist and asked him to fill in until they found one. As he puts it "They never did. lazy bastards." BTW, there is a nice video showing the behind the scenes making of "Sabaton 1916" on their channel if you are interested.
Regarding the lack of glory on the battlefield. Watch Sabaton "En Livstid I Krig" (A Lifetime At War) Live in Gothenburg (Switch on CC as it's in Swedish)
I love the representation in the video - the "British" forces included huge numbers of soldiers from throughout the Empire and World Indians - Sikhs, Hindu's, Muslims - Nepalese Gurkhas, Australian's,. New Zealanders, Caribbean. Nigerian, Kenyans, Ugandans and many others and their contribution and sacrifice is too often (deliberately) overlooked.
This is just heartbreaking. But the part that gets me the most is that final shot of that young kid standing alone. From what I was told by another Sabaton fan is the young man is based on an actual soldier and he was only 13. He added 5 years to his name so he could join, he was just a baby. Devastating 😢
The part that always gets me is how Joakim sings "...and thats how we died, clinging like kids to each other." The way he sings it, the pure raw emotion in his voice is just amazing and heartbreaking.
I grew up with Sabbath, Purple, Rainbow and moved onto Maiden, Saxon, Motorhead and some have been iconic and pushed boundaries. Sabaton took up the baton and ran with it, brilliant group. I'd love to see you react to Motorhead, Ace of Spade just because it's so different.
Tremendous reaction! This song is a cover of Motörhead's song, with heavy metal legend Lemmy in front (he's the guy in the framed picture that a member of the surviving band carries in the video). And that is why I love that you ended by saying "If you have any more Sabaton suggestions, Lemmy know!" You unintentionally paid tribute to him, the way they do in the video! Coincidence? I think so! 😄🤘🏼
Nice to see that you have found Sabaton. I would like to recommend in the christmas time that you react to thier song "Christmas truce". Another wounderful pice of their art. And my absolute favorite Sabaton video is "No bullets fly" the animated video. Hope you have a great day. Sinserly a Sabaton fan from Sweden.
Welcome to the world of Sabaton! They do some amazing and informative videos, but be warned, there are sometimes multiple versions. You will almost always want the "animated story video", because it includes extra history and human touches (like the second half of this video). Make sure it has the word "story" in the title, as some also have animated music videos which skip the extras. My favourites are _No_ _Bullets_ _Fly_ and _Night_ _Witches._ The exceptions to this rule are _Christmas_ _Truce_ - watch the music video as part of your Christmas lineup, it's the one that made me a Sabaton fan - and _Bismarck._ It really surprised me when I realised the music that made me cry most often was from a power metal band singing about war, but really they are usually singing about the human condition in the context of war - the compassion, bravery, ingenuity, and other qualities that come to the fore when put to the fire. Enjoy!
On a personal note, let me say that this song has extra weight because of family history. My wife's grandfather was _14_ years old when he went to the war, and he only survived through dumb luck. He was wounded and sent to a field hospital where his father was being treated too: he swore when he saw his son and wrote home to the boy's mother. She in turn wrote to the War Office with proof of his age, and they pulled him out. Once home, he never spoke of what he had been through.
Not long until Christmas. Now you have to do "Christmas Truce" the official music video, NOT the animated. Also a true story about the truce between opposite forces in 1914.
Love you facial expression during the video. It's my first time watching a video of yours and I am so enjoying looking at you. You have such a wonderful face!
Welcome to Sabaton! As a history buff, I thought I knew a lot, but, I've learned from Sabaton. I like that Sabaton is "even handed." I've learned SO much abt Allies military history & contributions. As an American, I appreciate that they haven't left out the USAs military history & contributions. Keep going down the rabbit hole of interesting history & great music.
1916 is Sabaton's slowest and one of the saddest songs. To hear the heavy metal side of them I strongly recommend watching Ghost Division live and Bismarck
can't explain it, as a former soldier who served in combat this song always makes me ... head to a quiet area, put on my earbuds and have a "good listen" in private-that despite its motorhead (a band I listened to quite a FEW years ago regularly albeit without the connotations I now associate with the song.
The original, from Motörhead album 1916, is also very much worth listening. It's low key and emotional in a way you really did not expect from Motörhead.
Notice that the lovley cellist Tina Guo is playing the cello at the end credits. You have for sure heard her playing in many famous movies where Hans Zimmer has composed the music. Look her up, really talented!
Nice reaction! Thanks! I'm glad you've enjoyed Sabaton. It's a tribute and a cover but they have over 100 great own songs :-) Please more Sabaton! e.g.40:1 or Uprising
"Christmas Truce" and "Bismarck" are also excellent songs by Sabaton. I would also say to check out "Wrong Side of Heaven" by the band Five Finger Death Punch. It will blow you away also. Great reaction.
7:00 The rest of the video is history, facts and figures, context. Many of their full length music videos also have credits because they are full-scale theatrical productions, and there is often an orchestral echo of the song playing during it.
I'm familiar with quite a few Sabaton songs already due to finding their music in some games I play. I play a lot of strategy games that often have a war focus, and their catalogue makes for the perfect accompaniment, but it can also hold up on its own.
As mentioned earlier, the cello work was done by the amazing Tina Guo Tina has many Movie 🎬 TV 📺 and Video Games 🎮 Cello Contributions as well as a very nice discography to her name Tina also another project called Ramenstein featuring Tina on Cello, Kiki Wong on Guitar, Mia Asano on Violin, and Grace Kelly on Saxophone 🖤💀🦇💣⚡️🤘
I am a British Army Veteran with more than 20 years service, After retirement became an Educational Officer in a Military Museum. In my role I put on the uniform of those who fought in what was called the Great War. Young people who enlisted did not lie about their age. They came from town and country sides, they either worked in hard industry, pay was just enough to keep them alive. Birth certificates were not around to prove their age, they were looked at by the recruiting teams as fit for uniform. We at the museum when talking to young students mention this.
The lyrics were written by Motörheads singer Lemmy Kilmister after he had seen a documentay, if you want to see more about the history behind the song you can look it up on their history channel, Sabaton History. Yes, they have their own history channel where they go through the historical facts behind their songs with a legitimate historian. Sabaton's made the best Christmas song ever, it's called "Christmas Truce", you really ought to look it up. It's about the spontaneous truce between the brittish/french and the german soldiers at Christmas 1914 during WWI and it's a beautiful song.
Nice reaction, so fun to see when people got so caught up in there music. The lovely guitarist, Tommy Johansson has his own band, Majestica. Since Christmas is around the corner you could try there album, A Christmas carol, a metal Christmas story based on the book by Dickens about Ebenezer Scrooge 🎸🤘 My favorite song is Ghost of Christmas past.
Hi darling I love all of your reactions they are so good and you are so genuine keep it going darling you are so great with your reactions love them 💗 💕 💖 ❤️
if your looking for a "Christmas Song" then "Christmas Truce" is one to listen to. it's one of the most beautiful and yet most heartbreaking events in history. it was when, in the few days of christmas of 1914 (24-26), both sides of the western front laid down their guns in their entirety, came out of their trenches, and celebrated christmas together in "No Man's Land". they exchanged gifts of w/e they may have had such as ammo, cigarettes, medical supplies etc. etc. and spoke to each other however they could through broken words and body expression. sadly, by the 27th they were ordered back to battle and while the higher ups were willing to overlook the unofficial ceasefire, they were warned that if it happened again without prior approval there would be severe consequences. as such, never again did it happen through the rest of the war. unless you know a lot about the war, it is a forgotten event. there was 1 attempt when a German wished a merry christmas and waved a box of cigarettes but was immediately sniped and killed...and ironically enough it was by a Canadian. we were NOT nice back then. in fact, we were the most despised and ruthless soldiers by/towards the Germans and even changed the rules of war in terms of engagement and treatment of soldiers due to it.
Touching reaction to a masterpiece. Bismarck up next? I also wanna suggest Sabatons guitarist, Tommy Johansson with Phantom of the Opera or O helga Natt (O Holy Night). He has an incredible voice and a range out of this world!
Very powerful and moving, not into war but I appreciate you’re review thank you . Never heard Sa baton before but was in deep respect of this performance
"The first rule of war is young men die. The second is that nobody can change rule one..." --Lt. Colonel Henry Blake, MASH 4077th RIP to those who did not grow old...
Wel ome to Sabaton.and thriller cover of Mötorheads 1916. You have lot of good music to discover like Attack of te deadline men, Lionel from te north and meny more.
Here's an interpretation of a small moment in the video. The woman in uniform stepping out of the dark alley. I'm not sure if it's intentional by Sabaton, wouldn't surprise me if it is. But, it symbolise how women in war are often relegated to the shadows and not talked about. But through their music Sabaton has given us incredible stories about brave women as well, like Milunka Savic and the Night witches.
If you don't walk away from hearing this song for the first time, not feeling like you just took a good punch to the stomach, you're not human. As previously stated by other comments, this song is a cover on a Motörhead song with the same name. I don't agree with the statements that the Motörhead song being many times better than this cover. They sound completely different so it's quite difficult to compare them. This one is more powerful, which tells the story in one way. Motörheads version is more somber and more... devastated, if that's a way to describe it. It has a much stronger sense of despair over it, which is a very good feeling to convey when it comes to the story of this song. Other songs by Sabaton. Christmas is coming up, so Christmas Truce is a given. Also about events during WW1. No bullets fly, the animated story version, as previously stated in other comments. The Final Solution The Last Stand En livstid i krig, performed in swedish live from Gothenburg (translates to "A lifetime of war") Angels Calling ft. Apocalyptica. If you're in to strings you'll love that one.
I love seeing all the different soldiers walking with them. There are a few inclusions in there that a lot of people have forgotten about. For example you can see a soldier in a turban, he's a Sikh. India was still under British rule during the first world war and thousands of brave Sikhs and Indians fought and unfortunately died in Europe. They were just one of many groups of soldiers from European colonies that took up the call to arms. It truly was a world war.
great reaction, more please. you asked so... Sabaton as you just said is a Swedish band with a loooong list of history based music. Sabaton also has an award winning history channel that gives background to over 100 if their songs (not music award, academic, aimed at education of the public) . This is actually a Motorhead cover. Christmas Truce, No Bullets Fly or Bismarck are great Sabaton tracks. One of my favorite new bands ( to me ). Drummer married to Night Wish singer
Sabaton is excellent, they are a history teacher's dream - can you imagine kids insteads of reading books watching metal band SINGING about the events? Singing good? And by the way, there is personal ties to Nightwish - the drummer of Sabaton (Hannes van Dahl) is married to Floor Jansen, recently their 2nd daughter (Freya and younger Lucy) was born some 2 months ago... Since it is the right time, i suggest you watch "Christmas Truce", excellent video going with that one...
While 1916 is a very upscaled cover of the Motörhead song by the same name, Sabatons song Christmas Truce is their own composition - taking place in 1914 - and is, if possible, even grander and more epic than this song. If you liked this youll be just as heart wrenched and stunned by that song and video. A true masterpiece. Youll be going down the Sabaton rabbit hole, guaranteed, after seeing it.
Fun fact, the video is kind of a reviuew of their other songs. Night Witches, No Bullets fly, Red Baron, The Last Stand are just a few that I can pick out.
"Friedrich Engels once said: "Bourgeois society stands at the crossroads, either transition to socialism or regression into barbarism." What does "regression into barbarism" mean to our lofty European civilization? Until now, we have all probably read and repeated these words thoughtlessly, without suspecting their fearsome seriousness. A look around us at this moment shows what the regression of bourgeois society into barbarism means. This world war is a regression into barbarism. The triumph of imperialism leads to the annihilation of civilization." Rosa Luxemburg

This song caught me off guard. As someone coming from a military family, I wasnt prepared for how powerful this was. Great song and great job. I loved this 1.

first of all ya and second 1916 by sabaton was a cover, the original was made by motörhead
Take care.
I agree, with the holiday season here, please react to ‘Christmas Truce’ next, before Christmas.
Christmas Truce is a masterpiece that I highly recommend 🇸🇪
As you'll be reminded to play to the end...guess the vocalist singing the aria??
I agree
The saddest part about the Christmas Truce is it never happened again because by Christmas 1915, men on both sides had seen enough of their friends die to the enemy in horrific ways that they truly hated each other.
Interesting fact their Drummer is married to Floor Jansen! “Hannes Van Dahl (born Karl-Hannes Dahl, 18 January 1990) is a Swedish musician. He is best known as the drummer of the power-metal band Sabaton.”

Thank you for these suggestions - so helpful! Appreciate you!
Gabriel, new account?
Oh, wait... wrong band, my bad!
😅
Oooh fun, okay. Shall do!!
It`s two songs you must react to with Sabaton, Christmas Truce and En livstid i Krig, Live from Gothenburg. And don`t forget the subtitles on the last one! You wont regret it!!
Woo, cheers!! Can't wait!
Did you also notice the Motorhead flag ? It is a tribute to Lemmy Kilmister (lead singer of Motorhead who passed away on 28th december 2015)
Not only the flag. The two remaining members of Motörhead joined the march at the end, holding a photo of Lemmy in their hands
You’ll love “Christmas Truce” by Sabaton. Tis the season… and it’s so impactful and meaningful. Also “Bismarck”, “The Last Stand”, and “En Livstid i Krig” Live in Gothenburg are all amazing as well.
Tina Guo making her cello cry...
Cheers.
This one and The Price of a Mile still get me every time I listen. May the fallen always be remembered.
This is the cover of a Motörhead song. Lemmy Kilmeister wrote this song as a tribute to those who fought in the battle of the Somme. Sabaton took it and put their twist on it. It’s amazing truly.
This song is written by Lemmy from Motorhead. Great song :) Love this version from Sabaton 💪🏻
All Sabaton songs deserve a listen.
I agree with you 😊 Best band in the world if you ask me ❤🇸🇪🇸🇪❤️ Warm and kind regards from a big Sabaton fan in Northern Sweden 🇸🇪🇸🇪
GREAT reaction on 1916
This band is so inspiring and knows how to shoot straight to your emotions! They are a great bunch! Good, talented and very funny people!
You did the right thing, the rule is: never ever end a Sabaton video too early, watch it to the absolute end.
R.I.P. Lemmy 🤘
Damn, I think I pressed the like button at least 10 times. I wish I could press it a 100 times and it counted 🥺
Loved this reaction, looking forward to more Sabaton reactions.
There's very very few songs that can make me actually shed a tear from the emotion conveyed. This is one of them.
14:09 Cello performance, arrangement and mixing by
TINA GUO
The guy holding the photo of Lemmy at 6:11 is Sabatons tour manager Eddie Rocha that used to be Motörheads tour manager.
At last u get to Sabaton 🙏 Next seeing as it’s that time of year I recommend u do Christmas Truce then for extra goosebumps En Livstid I Krig 👌👌
As he puts it "They never did. lazy bastards."
BTW, there is a nice video showing the behind the scenes making of "Sabaton 1916" on their channel if you are interested.
"Lazy bastards"! Hilarious. Hahaha I'll def watch the BTS videos. I love BTS stuff! Thank you.
Truly devastating, agreed.
If you haven’t already the making of ‘1916’ video is worth a watch
@@charlottephillips5794 I need to rewatch it.
The part that always gets me is how Joakim sings "...and thats how we died, clinging like kids to each other." The way he sings it, the pure raw emotion in his voice is just amazing and heartbreaking.
@darthkevin95 the whole song punches you, doesn't it. Baffles the mind that all that went on and their video is the first I heard of it
I grew up with Sabbath, Purple, Rainbow and moved onto Maiden, Saxon, Motorhead and some have been iconic and pushed boundaries. Sabaton took up the baton and ran with it, brilliant group.
I'd love to see you react to Motorhead, Ace of Spade just because it's so different.
"The Devonshires held this trench, The Devonshires hold it still"
Tremendous reaction! I think so! 😄🤘🏼
Hahaha I didn’t even notice that! Good catch. Definitely a coincidence but glad that snuck in there. 🤍😂
Great reaction. These Sabaton-videos are really touching. May I recommend to you to react to "Bismarck" or "Christmas Truce" By Sabaton.
Sabaton has a someg called "Christmas truce" the official video would be appropriate for the season
The lone bass finishing the orchestral arrangement always made me think of a soldier dying alone for some reason. Great reaction!
From sweden thanks fore the sabaton reaction, 😍
Great reaction! Congratulations for 20k subs❤
I like all little emprovements you put on the channel, beeing opened to little advices. 👍👍
If you like this you must se "En livstid i krig" Live in Gothenburg 2020 you must use Lyrics ! the song are in swedish its very powerful🤘🤘
Sabaton has a few songs that break me. This is one of them. Yet I still keep coming back for more.
You sell it! Awesomeness!!
Amazing... when Motörhead enter the video with Lemmys picture thas just fantastic
can we appreciate this actor his look can relay a picture of all the terrors of the war
"Christmas Truce" and "Bismarck" are also excellent songs by Sabaton. I would also say to check out "Wrong Side of Heaven" by the band Five Finger Death Punch. It will blow you away also. Great reaction.
I think the outro with the soft instruments just contrasts the song really well and it makes you think about what you've just seen and heard
Next Sabaton song: "Carolus Rex" !
The anger and yet acceptance of our role...
Brutal, visceral, heroic and tragic. Yes, heroic. These men had courage despite all odds.
Nice reaction, so fun to see when people got so caught up in there music.
The lovely guitarist, Tommy Johansson has his own band, Majestica. Since Christmas is around the corner you could try there album, A Christmas carol, a metal Christmas story based on the book by Dickens about Ebenezer Scrooge 🎸🤘
My favorite song is Ghost of Christmas past.
Umm, I'm so into this! I love A Christmas Carol. Thank you!
Absolutely! I agree!
For this sort of feel again, watch their live performance of En Livstig e Krieg (it’s in Swedish but you can turn on English subtitles)
This song makes me cry every time.
Touching reaction to a masterpiece. Bismarck up next?
I also wanna suggest Sabatons guitarist, Tommy Johansson with Phantom of the Opera or O helga Natt (O Holy Night). He has an incredible voice and a range out of this world!
I agree!
Very powerful and moving, not into war but I appreciate you’re review thank you . Never heard Sa baton before but was in deep respect of this performance
"The first rule of war is young men die. The second is that nobody can change rule one..." --Lt. Colonel Henry Blake, MASH 4077th
RIP to those who did not grow old...
Wel ome to Sabaton.and thriller cover of Mötorheads 1916. You have lot of good music to discover like Attack of te deadline men, Lionel from te north and meny more.
Bismarck, Christmas truce & No Bullets fly. Welcome down a deep rabbit hole. Well done! 😉 🤘🤘🤘
This hits
The Final Solution
The Last Stand
En livstid i krig, performed in swedish live from Gothenburg (translates to "A lifetime of war")
Angels Calling ft. Apocalyptica. If you're in to strings you'll love that one.
Sabaton believes firm in "Lest we forget", and believe that these lost souls be never forgotten.
Sabaton videos are often have dedictions and/or messages at the end, perhaps not always but... watching to the very end is frequently well worth it.
Animated STORY videos (short Animated history lessons with music videos in them)

Uprising, the Warsaw Uprising against the nazi germans during 1944.
To hell and back, they tell the story of Audie Murphy (highly decorated) and his struggle AFTER the war, so about PTSD and drug addiction that returning soldiers can face.
Fields of verdun, the 300+ day long battle fought there.

these are just some, there are plenty more.
Incredible!! Thank you so much for this.
Everything from Sabaton is 😙👌🏻
I didn't pick up the sea shanty vibe until you mentioned it but after you mentioned it I could hear it.
The Original Song is coming from Motörhead...RIP Lemmy, you should hear this.
Welcome to Sabaton. The Animated song No Bullets Fly. Please. Also their drummer Hannes is Husband to Floor from Nightwish.
SABATON - Christmas Truce (Official Music Video)
Did you notice the call out to lemmy killmiester and Motorhead?
Fun fact, the video is kind of a reviuew of their other songs. Night Witches, No Bullets fly, Red Baron, The Last Stand are just a few that I can pick out.
This song breaks my heart every time. I love Motörhead’s original version, but this one really kills it with emotion.
The triumph of imperialism leads to the annihilation of civilization." Rosa Luxemburg
beautiful video❤
every time i see or hear this song, somebody is cutting onions..
Another one from Sabaton that pulls at the heart strings is ‘Inmate 4859’
