I don't know what to do tbh. 😓😓😓😓😓😓 I wish there was someway to block anyone attempting to use anything like MidJourney, gave full credit to the artist, so they so rightfully got all the money, attention and credit.
If you enjoy doing art for the process and the feeling of having made something, KEEP DOING IT! they want us to feel hopeless, that human art is obsolete, but it isn't! If not in digital art, physical art of every kind will prevail! pencil, paint, wood, live music, etc! That stuff can't be generated by chat gpt, keep creating, and you win.
So, despite being Gen Z, I refused to use any mainstream social media and never will. Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, I have never touched any of it, Facebook only once in order to log into a game but never as an actual platform, and I do use Discord but I barely talk to anyone except two friends so that doesn’t really count as full-fledged social media (at least imo). I’m busy writing a new fantasy book series and will need to find ways to advertise it, I’ve already told my mom/essentially my editor and manager that Twitter is blacklisted for advertising, and I’m glad I did. I don’t care if it makes marketing significantly more difficult as a self-published author, those social media platforms with their scummy practices and (occasional) insane users can burn in hell. Clearly Twitter deserves a lower ring in hell at this point
Nah bro and I was considering posting my art on twitter too💀💀 Yeah I'm definitely sticking with Cara or whatever that new art website is called now lol imo AI should stay out of art COMPLETELY and not just art art, I'm talking music, writing WHATEVER. I mean it can be useful for writers checking for plot holes and stuff but THAT'S IT. Imagine how bland and boring a story would be if you only used AI smh🤢 And with art it's not even that useful really, AI is supposed to be a tool to help us do stuff but generative AI seems like it was just made for people who can't draw lol, artists can just use real references. Plus it harms the environment too like lil bro has to go
Also even if you would post there, i don't think it values that much, because of the type of people that is there (crazy ass people). So either ways it doesn't value.

I know this is mostly about art (as an artist i too am concerned about this stuff) but here's a more fucked up part, remember plenty of people post their nudes on twitter, so the new terms of service also means even if you have a private twitter where you post that kinda thing only for a select group of people you are close wirh, all your private images meant for a select number of people become "their property" to use in any way as well, and if you don't know about the new TOS after it comes out because maybe you took a vacation and didnt go on X during it or something, then suddenly you'd have """agreed""" to having your nudes become infinitely reproducible property of X
I'll most likely still post on twitter, like fanart and interacting with people that still use it. But I'm going to stop posting personal work to twitter. there are some posts on my twitter though I don't want the Ai use, but I'll never delete them because they involve a content creator I use to know that passed away a few years back, the posts are like...a time capsule now I'd never want to delete. Really breaks my heart that Twitter is like this now. Edit: Now saying this, this is really upsetting, there are some artists I know that their own twitters are time capsules after their passing, now their work will be used for Ai if haven't already...this future is trash.

I'm an artist on Twitter and I'm going to start by posting higher quality images on Bluesky and crop them hard on Twitter. I can't afford to simply not post on Twitter just yet, but hoping to nudge my followers to Bluesky as time goes. It's so infuriating to not be able to escape AI companies scraping your stuff for AI training. They take my work and use it to make themselves a boat load of money while I receive zero compensation. I have nothing but contempt for AI executives who made these decisions. The true scum of the earth.
doesn't matter if you delete your account before those changes. if you agreed with their TOS, you grant them permission to store anything you post, even the deleted stuff.
Aren’t you legally bound by the what the terms of service said when you signed it? Or can companies legally pull the rug under you and change the TOS at any given time?
I swiftly made the jump to Bsky as soon as I saw the news and the people there are very nice. No ads or bots so far, you can curiate what you want to see, and as far as I know there's no algorithm hiding posts with certain words.
I'm glad I jumped ship months ago because my account was being tagged in multiple NFT scams all day. I now just wish the Japanese artists jump to Bluesky already, like at least for me I'm seeing a lot of artists talking about art-related issues there and is a more positive place, but at this point it seems we need to come back with our own websites, like this is getting ridiculous
What's funny is my account got flagged for "inauthentic behavior" When I Google their definition of that, using AI images as your profile picture is an example... So what good are these images if I'm not allowed to use them?
Tip: I've heard of an art poisoning program, who um upload your art and it will make your art difficult for AI to understand. I don't quite remember the website, but im pretty sure theres a YT video about it and you should check it out.
The issue with Bluesky for one is blocking someone doesn't stop them seeing your posts as they can see them without logging in also A.I can see your posts because it also doesn't need an account to sign in.
I'm really upset about it. I finally gained a small following (700 followers) and now I have to start over _again_ :/ A few artists are going to try heavy watermarking + adding a big border on their art, then using Bluesky to share the full drawings. I may try this out as well, but we'll see.
I don't use Twitter much, but I have my art there and I'm not going to delete it, because I'm not going to lose everything I fought for to be able to record about my work. In my opinion, I think we artists have to defend our ground and not leave it. Unfortunately, there's no way to fight against the advance of technology. Companies will open up to everything and they don't care much about us. I believe we shouldn't delete our records and instead stay strong and continue our lives and our projects without letting anxiety take over our souls and hearts. ❤❤ We continue our normal lives and never stop drawing and producing where we feel comfortable and do not fear a technology that unfortunately we cannot fight against. We must not give up doing what we love the way we want, we just have to know how to live with the changes. 😊
There's a simple trick of course. a) Watermarking b) A software that wreaks havoc on AI training (forgot the name sadly but it does something with the images, making them useless to the AI) c) NOT uploading to social platforms like this. Your own website can do wonders. You can prevent people from downloading images and even from doing screenshots.
⭐ Thank you for making this video. I was so confused whats was going on. I'm so overwhelmed because of the whole ai thing, that I try to avoid it or try to not care because it's really depressing.
It’s really frustrating and disappointing…but sadly not surprising either. I’m still thinking about what I’m gonna do and probably just wait till the update gets closer to dropping. Either way it does suck because I like the small community I gathered and just deleting my account because of this makes me want to slam my head on a table, but tbh the more I keep thinking about it the more I just want to leave the site…I agree that the whole ai thing has already had a big impact even before this going on and no social media is safe over it, but I can’t help but also think about how terrible the block feature is going to be as well and it isn’t helping on making me want to stay any. Idk I guess at this point I’m just more tired of the site and starting to feel like there’s just no need to be on it anymore for me. I might try bluesky but even then idk if I’ll join if I do end up leaving twitter…guess I have time to think because it’s all a huge mess right now lol.

I love to break the bad news to people... but they ALREADY WERE doing this, the only difference is now you know. And no, it wasn't illegal before nor is it illegal after.
Just recently I was wondering if deleting my Twitter account was a mistake or not. I don't really use it. I tried to enjoy it but I just can't. It's not really a space where I feel safe. Well, I guess this video just confirms my decision.
This is kinda just the very latest in what we've already been tolerating for a long time, which is being obligated to sign on to non-negotiable, one-sided contracts that tend to help themselves to everything that they can possibly think of, while leaving the door open to change the contract at will if they think of something more they want, later, all for the privilege of finding out if you want to use this particular platform or device at all. Generally you will be scoffed at by people who insist that you are somehow overreacting to the situation, or that you don't understand it, or something else dismissive. Meanwhile, no lawyer alive would allow a client to sign such an odious contract. I wonder if it will ever change, or if we're just trapped in this paradigm forever.
Maybe you should learn a few things about how these models work, these filters can't help you... If you don't want your art to be used to train AI models, don't post it on the internet, or have it behind a paywall.
I don't plan to delete my account there(just for precautions if i want to cheeck anything there) but i will delete everything that i had on my account there, i never liked to post things there, after all i always got very little to almost no engagement there, and there is a cesspool after all.

I don't want to be a downer but I don't know if there is a point to even starting when so many are opting for a lazy, entitled egocentric option then they act like they are so talented and they did the work and earned the skills, like you see in the responses from the one that owns RoboRender.
I don't know what to do tbh. 😓😓😓😓😓😓
I wish there was someway to block anyone attempting to use anything like MidJourney, gave full credit to the artist, so they so rightfully got all the money, attention and credit.
Facts.

However much it sucks for different use cases, I think the use of AI is inevitable and we just have to do our best to adapt.
@@PunmasterSTPIt’s how we use AI. I’ve seen it used for good and bad.
Nah bro and I was considering posting my art on twitter too💀💀 Yeah I'm definitely sticking with Cara or whatever that new art website is called now lol
imo AI should stay out of art COMPLETELY and not just art art, I'm talking music, writing WHATEVER. I mean it can be useful for writers checking for plot holes and stuff but THAT'S IT. Imagine how bland and boring a story would be if you only used AI smh🤢
And with art it's not even that useful really, AI is supposed to be a tool to help us do stuff but generative AI seems like it was just made for people who can't draw lol, artists can just use real references. Plus it harms the environment too like lil bro has to go
Also even if you would post there, i don't think it values that much, because of the type of people that is there (crazy ass people). So either ways it doesn't value.
I LOVE CARAAA
@@saffalaffalot cara feels like the 2005 golden age of deviantart wave that I missed because I was too young
I wanted to join artstation a few years ago... but even before that went downhill, it was dominated by a certain kind of pro artist that works digitally
Cara has those, but also funny kids drawing their OCs, INSANELY GOOD traditional artists, and hobbyists doing weird art because they feel like it
It's great going on Cara and finding some guy named Jeff who makes amazing naive art every day with a hint of surrealism (made up example) and that's just what he posts every morning... and also finding some people who post 1 really good work every month, instead of posting 20 less detailed things every month like other sites artists to do to keep up engagement
Cara feels like a real treasure chest ☺

You should try to glaze and nightshade your artwork before posting it on the internet

Good thing I never posted my work on that platform. But I’m heartbroken for everyone who does
I swiftly made the jump to Bsky as soon as I saw the news and the people there are very nice. No ads or bots so far, you can curiate what you want to see, and as far as I know there's no algorithm hiding posts with certain words.
I moved to bluesky before I knew all of this. Ofc elon finds a way to ruin his app even more.
Sincerely wtf Elon?!
This would be a nightmare for Pokemon and Nintendo as the recent leak has been uploaded several times to Twitter/X in the past week.
Possible battle between Pokemon and Nintendo vs Twitter incoming?
People need to take back the internet from billionaires and corporations.
Either that, or somehow abandon the internet. It's a fekking dumpster fire.
Well, this is outdated
Just got on there to bro, happy I put only my quick drawings on it ^^
I'm glad I jumped ship months ago because my account was being tagged in multiple NFT scams all day.
I now just wish the Japanese artists jump to Bluesky already, like at least for me I'm seeing a lot of artists talking about art-related issues there and is a more positive place, but at this point it seems we need to come back with our own websites, like this is getting ridiculous
if that was my platform, i'd buy it back REAL FAST
What's funny is my account got flagged for "inauthentic behavior" When I Google their definition of that, using AI images as your profile picture is an example... So what good are these images if I'm not allowed to use them?
Tip: I've heard of an art poisoning program, who um upload your art and it will make your art difficult for AI to understand. I don't quite remember the website, but im pretty sure theres a YT video about it and you should check it out.
The program is called Nightshade.
@etytomb9390 thanks lol
Really off topic but your new model is so cute
Thank you so much 😀
Yes i like that bluesky has more users now it will be a buffet for me since it will be easier for my script to scrape bluesky than X/Twitter
first instagram, and now this…great 😐
At least Instagram has a better block feature.
@@Rubyshiny344 true
The issue with Bluesky for one is blocking someone doesn't stop them seeing your posts as they can see them without logging in also A.I can see your posts because it also doesn't need an account to sign in.
On settings there's an option where your posts will only show up to actual bluesky accounts
I'm really upset about it. I finally gained a small following (700 followers) and now I have to start over _again_ :/
A few artists are going to try heavy watermarking + adding a big border on their art, then using Bluesky to share the full drawings.
There's a simple trick of course.
a) Watermarking
b) A software that wreaks havoc on AI training (forgot the name sadly but it does something with the images, making them useless to the AI)
c) NOT uploading to social platforms like this. Your own website can do wonders. You can prevent people from downloading images and even from doing screenshots.
Welp now I have to take my artwork off of twitter ☹️ luckily I still have tumblr, Cara and new grounds but yeah

Thank you for making this video. I was so confused whats was going on. I'm so overwhelmed because of the whole ai thing, that I try to avoid it or try to not care because it's really depressing.
Bluesky is having a fieldtrip right now!
I might try bluesky but even then idk if I’ll join if I do end up leaving twitter…guess I have time to think because it’s all a huge mess right now lol.

the scariest part for me is figuring out how to move all my stuff across platforms to be honest
Ugh, first the Internet Archive problems, now this.
The main problem i have with AI is that it makes the internet boring.
Every social media does it, even Bluesky is fully legs open to AI scrapping (also minting ZCASH crypto with every post done on their servers).
Chat is bluesky safe as an alt other than cara???
I think so, I've used it. It's just Twitter, but without Elon
(And less political brain rot)
I recommend it, there's no algorithm so it's very easy for people to find you. It's also just nicer altogether
I have nowhere else to post my art , however I use filters on my art and ai is unable to steal it. Ibispaint also has a filter for that too
Maybe you should learn a few things about how these models work, these filters can't help you...
If you don't want your art to be used to train AI models, don't post it on the internet, or have it behind a paywall.
The ibispaint filter doesnt have any protection, you need glaze or nightshade which were developed by AI and CS researchers.
Every decision is just making twitter worse and worse.
For real 🤣 Elon tanked that platform astoundingly
I don't plan to delete my account there(just for precautions if i want to cheeck anything there) but i will delete everything that i had on my account there, i never liked to post things there, after all i always got very little to almost no engagement there, and there is a cesspool after all.

im not shocked anymore but I just think it’s fascinating how elon musk has optimized making twitter already worse than it was like he’s really efficient with this
By coincidence, I just checked back on my own Twitter account since ... like 12 months, but I have nobody to follow. In the meantime, I doomscrolled through my entire history and ... I only deleted maybe 5 tweets (of a few hundred), but not leaving anything valuable behind.
Damn, good thing I never posted much of anything on there, let alone even use the site except maybe once in a blue moon. This is just f***ing heinous.
bluesky got that huge amount of users in a small amount of time because Twitter was banned in Brazil for like, a month
You see this is one of the issues I have of Elon musk as a stupid s*** like this and AI if you use artificial intelligence to make art that makes you have no talent and this right here is one of the reasons why despise Twitter not only is it's a cesspool at the moment but also now this come on this is stupid even for Elon man just stop
