Great job! I think I only saw three or four of the other drivers taking evasive action, and no explosions, so that's awesome! 😉
😅
😂😂😂
Lol
Semper Fi, Marine.
I've only been in France once, in 2015. It was Paris. On the way to the hotel, the cabbie actually drove his taxi on the *sidewalk.* Not for very long, just enough to sneak past one stop light, but I was in complete shock. I still had a great time, and I keep meaning to plan another trip. But the experience reaffirmed my decision to stick to public transit while in Europe! 😀
You are now a French American, girl!!
OMG LMAO sirens just as soon as you hit the street 🤣😂🤣 could not have been scripted any better 😂
You are a natural Marie. Looks like you mastered the stick quite well. Congrats!
You did GREAT!!!!!!!!!
You did Wonderful Marie!!😄😄😄
You did great, Marie. Great video as always.
God bless.
Bill
Shes a natural jeep girl
Good job most people in America can’t drive a standard shift anymore, that’s what I learned on in my 1965 VW bug, careful going on corners in that jeep don’t take corners too fast, any vehicle that sits up higher like that be careful. Time for you to rent a Mustang!, preferably a large V-8 manual shift. 😊
Funny how you freaked out about driving! You got this girl! You nailed it! R o R is OK unless otherwise posted. Same as France! Same as Germany.
You are having so much fun. Of course driving a lifted Jeep in Phoenix during rush out as your first time is tough. So happy you are enjoying your trip to our country. Best of luck and stay well girl. Thank you for another great video. 😄
At least she has good visibility.
Oh sht it's a manual too
In stop and go. Well that can suck a bit
I’m so proud of you!🥰🤍
Also I used to drive a Jeep, and you definitely need to have your hair back and probably a hat, too! I’m not sure if your hair style was intentional, but it was perfect!
outstanding job Marie...... Phoenix is a tough drive anytime.... I have over 4.5 million miles accident free miles in my 40+ years of truck driving... Retired now... You done good younglady!
I know what you mean when you say you were 'stressed'. Forty plus years ago I experienced the same stress driving in Germany for the first time. From Bremerhaven to Stuttgart my eyes never stopped looking for the 'Priority Road' yellow square and about 2o+ new traffic signs.. I learned the rules of the German road and drove in Europe for over 10 with no accidents. I did, however, have my photo taken, more than once. I hope you enjoy your time in the US as much as I did in Europe.
In 1973 my friend and I went in together on an old Audi(I think)while we were stationed in Germany. I was from Los Angeles so my driving skills were good. He was from Montana, and since they had no freeways there, he scared the hell out of me, merging onto the autobahn. He would come to a complete stop, and then merge. 😲😲😲
In the early 90s I was posted to Yokosuka Japan as a US Navy Military Policeman for two years shore duty . I was required to get a Japanese driver's license and pass an Emergency Vehicle Operators Course . Japanese drive on the left side of the road like the British . The road signs are totally different than American signs and written in Kanji characters . I was driving a patrol vehicle off base within two weeks . The Japanese police let us drive as we wished as long as we didn't cause any accidents .
@@victorwaddell6530 I didn't know that the Japanese drove on the left hand side of the road. That would be hard to get used to. Great little factoid!
GREAT job!!!
At 6:48 the dogs tied to the rear of the car reminded me of the 80s movie Vacation when Chevy Chase forgot the dog tied to the bumper of the family truckster. “Poor little guys, probably kept up for a mile or so”
Driving in foreign countries is a must. Good for you.
Yes ... great job.
So many these days are not able to drive a manual transmission.🎉
No ... stalls ... great ‼️
OK, pretty Marie risked her life to make a video for us! Girl, you are getting fearless. Best keep that attitude until you try some of the Tex-Mex food they have out there. Thank you, And when do you plan to take a Mustang for a test drive ??
Great job Marie! One of my favorite videos so far
This is rushed hours? I was like "aww, how cute!" I live in NY and that comment made me smile. :)
You did fantastic Marie, have fun, keep the videos coming... take care
way to go Marie!
At least you have a roll cage. So great to see you enjoying your time
Thanks for coming to state 48, Hope you like it.
Phoenix and Miami are the 2 best cities to be in during the winter in America. Phoenix is a whole different animal in July but it's totally awesome this time of year.
Nice. 1 hour closer to the Cannonball Run
Congratulations!
live in Tucson, and most of us avoid driving in Phenix because of the traffic there. 🙃
You are amazing. Jeeps are solid axle vehicles and intended for off-road driving. I hope you go off-roading!
Hey Marie! 🤗✨ I looooove driving manual transmission cars! It actually feels like "driving" instead of just "pointing" the car where you want to go. And yeah, rush-hour traffic is crazy and stressful pretty much in every large city in the US. You did great! 😃👍 And it's so nice to know you've gotten the chance to drive so much more here that you're now comfortable with it! I've got family in both CA and CO, and I have often driven the 1000+ mile (each way) trip. I love the scenery and spacious roadways too, regardless whether I drive the southern route (through NM and AZ), or the northern route (through UT and NV). Lots of beautiful stuff to see! This was a great video! Thank you!! 🥰 Looking forward to your next one! See you soon! xo 🤗💗
You go girl, hit those gears, drive like you stole it!!! Especially if its a rental!!!!
Great job Marie!
I’m so proud of you 😊
I so much enjoyed that !
Give that girl an Arizona Driver's License !
You are always so much fun to watch. Great job !!
I really loved your the videos of your first visit to the US. But the first two videos of this new trip are even better lol... I really enjoy seeing you have these experiences Marie. I hope you like Arizona. I've been there many times and it is nothing like my home state of Washington. You drive very well Marie. Hope you have fun and feel welcome while you are here. I'm sure that beautiful French accent will garner a lot attention as soon as you speak. Its a very rare accent for us to hear. ♥
Well done!
Welcome to Phoenix where yellow traffic lights are just a suggestion!
El Mirage, Arizona
You did a good job, Marie. Welcome to our country.
Congratulations ♥️🇺🇸🚗😃
I’m glad I got to see your video within the first half hour. Keep having fun when you’re visiting the US.
As others note, will be watching for the Mustang.
Why was I Sweating just watching this video! Omg i literally held my breath whenever you crossed an intersection! I was thinking the worst. In the end i let go of all my tension!😅
I'm so happy for you! Life is good!
You did an awesome job!
Your English is improving little by little. Good job. It was already pretty good anyway. I get to work on my spanish (neighbor is pretty weak in english), unfortunately I never get to use my french, but I'm content to just watch things in french and read. Not a huge deal. Fan from southwest missouri.
First time and in Phx! During rush hour! Those camera angles don't do it justice. Multiple lanes with people flying. It would be like picking Los Angeles to drive your first time. She is being incredibly humble.
Great job driving in the US Marie!!! You`re a natural! Very proud of your accomplishment! Welcome as always and have a wonderful visit!
You did a good job, Marie! I wanted to make a comment on how you were wondering why they were passing you. Well, I live just south of Phoenix, in Tucson, but the speed limits are higher on a lot of the freeways up there. First tiime I went up, I couldn't believe how fast everyone was driving, compared to what I'm used to. Oh, and a lot of people don't come to a complete stop; they come to an ALMOST complete stop. That was fun watching you. :)
The camo hat and pigtails couldn't have been better fit for a drive in a jeep!
You handled driving like a pro!
Great job, Marie! Yes , we could see how uncomfortable you were when you started on this jaunt. We could also see how, as you progressed, you became more relaxed and began to enjoy the ride. Like with everything, it just takes practice. You can put another curly W in the book. Luv ya
Looks like you are having fun I used to live in Phoenix az and rush hour is always crazy lol but A.Z is beautiful it’s a big city good job Marie
Salut D'Arizona. There are some of us French people out here 🤗
I'm so happy that you are having so much fun here in the States. Looking forward to your next adventure. Stay Safe
Hi, elderly French here ! I'm blessed with my 2 sons. I would have loved to have a daughter like Marie . Although I do not know her I am very proud of her and the way she represents the enduring friendship of our 2 nations. America and France are friends and family.
Bravo...you did better than I did in France the first time...and I won't mention Britain..everybody drives on the wrong side there. 😮😮😂😂
I'm glad to see you had such a great guide, that guy did a great job helping you out
Been here 40 years, never driven a car here in Az
Good Job!
Great Job!!!!!!
You looked cool in the Jeep!
Bravo Marie!!! Well done.😎👍👍👍👍. You’re driving in a vehicle strange to you, in a big city, and in rush hour traffic no less, was excellent. From his comments, you had a good teacher too. Now that you can handle roads and traffic well, maybe he can show you how to drive off road a little bit. That’s when driving a lifted Jeep like his becomes really fun! Really looking forward to your next video. Great job as always!!!😎👍👍👍
Welcome to the United States. You are a beautiful soul with an Angel smile and I am so thankful you love our country and treat us so well.
Now you need to drive a big ass pickup in some remote mountains. Come to Idaho!
It was fantastic watching your expressions on your travels. Very good job. Enjoy
I hope you enjoy Arizona as much as I enjoyed France!
I plan to visit Paris later this year. I will wear a beret while visiting the cafe's near the Eiffel Tower.
Hot Dog! Starting with a manual shift. That is something not too many Americans can do today!
Good job!
Driving for the first time in a foreign country is always stressful. I rented a manual shift car a couple of years ago to drive from Southern England to Edinburgh. I hadn’t driven a manual transmission in many years. Besides that, I had to drive on the “wrong” side, and I couldn’t get my GPS to work. I still get stressed thinking about it.
So much fun to watch you drive, glad you are enjoying your trip
Nice! I’m in Arizona, too! But I’m in Flagstaff. Way too cold to be wearing a t-shirt!
I grew up in Phoenix. Driving there can be stressful. When the speed limit is 65MPH, people drive 80MPH. In some places, the limit is 75MPH, but people drive at 100MPH.
Hey Marie! Good job on tackling driving in the United States. Looks like you are doing better than most people who live here. Just make sure you stay off your phone. People who are distracted by their phones cause most accidents!
Marie, get a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses! You'll own the road.
This was a surprisingly enjoyable video of just you driving.
It's a beautiful time to be in Az! There is so much to do and see here!! The Az state changes so much as you drive around! Mexican food is out of this world!Enjoy!!
You go girl!!! Great job!
Awe this is great. Back in high school I used to ride with my "Tiffany in her jeep with her friends every weekend. Just riding around having fun or to our favorite lake place to hang out and picnics. You look great in the jeep. I'm glad to watch you experience this. 👏
Nice. I had the opposite experience getting sent to work for a while in France. I had to drive between Paris (Place d'Italie) and Corbeil-Essonnes. I wasn't used to the standard shift and navigating the traffic circles was somewhere between funny and terrifying 😂. After a few weeks though I felt pretty comfortable. You have the advantage though as you can read the english signs. I knew zero french. Driving on the A6, I kept seeing 'Prochaine Sortie' and was wondering what that meant among many other signs. I still recall what 'next exit' is. lol
Marie after this visit to USA, your English will be great.! You will be hearing every way it is spoken if you get to the South and West.!
My only experience of European traffic, was in Italy. Naples. Those people drive what I can only call "suicidally".
Coucou Marie ! Ta première expérience au volant aux USA me rappelle ma premiere expérience au volant en France. J'étais super stressé car les routes sont tellement plus étroites qu'en France. J'ai survécu quand même ! Hugs from the Lone Star State!
Great job. I cant imagine myself trying to drive on the other side of the road, especially with the smaller lanes in Europe too.
You did excellent, I didn't hear you say Tabarnac, not even once.
Get it girl 👍
You did fantastic!! I want to see you drive a stick shift mustang next. Should be fun for you. Can't wait for the next video.
I'm sorry I can't relate, I drove in many foreign countries while in the Army with no problems, but the first time my Wife drove in Europe she was a total basket case. I hope to see videos of you driving off road, that is a blast, you are in a perfect vehicle for it. Thanks for posting.
Every Girl should have a Jeep..
Looks like you were driving really well, Marie! I love driving manual in my truck. Looks like the dogs were enjoying the ride with you.. big accomplishment driving in a country that you're not familiar with.. I would be nervous too! You did great!
Just gotta say, salute to whomever took you driving. I am an AWFUL passenger. I would have had us both stressed out. lol.
Darlin...where's the Mustang!!? Rent one for a day!! Great job. 🤪👍❤
Good work, rush hour in Phoenix is not easy.
I've been driving since I was 15 so for 40 yrs, and you always have to pay attention, you don't know about the other person behind the wheel, the worst place I drove was the uk , they use the opposite lane and the steering wheel is on the right, I've driven cross country a few times , it's a great way to see America, enjoy and stay safe, upstate new york
Great job driving that Jeep. I've driven a manual Jeep Wrangler before and they aren't the easiest vehicles to drive. You should have your friend take you to a Ford dealership so that you can test drive a Mustang.
She did not make any mistakes that I could see.
On the highways most people drive 10 mph over the limit. The cops tend to give you that. I'm in Charleston, South Carolina and I was on the interstate yesterday with my cruise set to 80 when I passed a highway patrolman sitting in the median. In the South the interstates are typically marked 70. Over 85 you have a good chance of getting popped.
Love the ride thanks 😊 ❤
Major kudos for driving here for the first time. That must've been stressful but you took the challenge and crushed it. Great job, Marie.
in france, the traffic lights work different when changing from red to green. over there, the lights change from red to yellow, then to green, and as soon as they turn green, everybody floors it like they are starting an f1 race.... that is why you never, ever try to run a red light in france, you are guaranteed to get t-boned. also, you are never allowed to make right turns on a red light, if you get caught it's a really big fine.
