Did u done any other modding? Bcuz i m using all the materials originally comes with qk65 and also using oil king but very different from ur sound. Hope u can help me, i also want to get my keyboard sounds like urs
I have tried both before and wouldn’t say it’s worth the time or money. They are still really good without films. But if you want to get the best out of them, you could as well
@@AIizs_ Still keeping the same intro tho. YBBK is simply “yeeboibob keyboards” shortened. It’ll make it easier for people to find/remember the channel name
@@vali8194 Main reason I relubed them was to dampen the top out “clack” sound. Other than that, smoothness etc. are all very similar to stock. I’d say it’s not worth it but if you want to go the extra mile then go ahead!
The only major difference is a softer/dampened top out (if you lube top housings). Stock, the oil kings have a fairly high pitched/sharp top out. So I lubed them to complement the marbley/deep sound the PE foam produces.
@@teodycue They are prelubed, and I did end up relubing with 205g0. I probably should have cleaned them first but didn't bother. Donut dipped the springs and just lube on the stem and lower housing sidewalls.
The oil kings already have a heavy layer of factory lube on the rails so all I did was take a brush and spread it evenly across the stem. For the bottom housing, I relubed them with 205g0 and 105g0 for the springs. I also dabbed lube on the two "notches" of the top housings to dampen the upstroke sound.
Do you think I should get the mod 005? Or should I go the extra mile and get a qk65. I don't know because Akko mod 005 is super nice, but qk65 is nicer but it would cost a lot more.
I have the Mod005 and waiting for my QK65. The Mod005 is definitely a great value for the price. The QK65 however is on a different class, much closer to "high end enthusiast" boards. If you can get the QK65, go for it. Otherwise the Akko is still a great choice (although you might want to wait for the v2).
@@Brenrys Definitely agree with silentmelodies, the MOD005 is an awesome keyboard for its price! Like they mentioned, if you have the budget, go for the qk65, otherwise the mod005 is a great option as well. If you have the patience, you could also wait for the mod005 refresh which will probably be released in the coming months. South facing sockets, possible via/qmk support etc.
do not use the holee mod on owl stabs! Their stems are already design to have very tight tolerances compared to eg. durock v2s. No matter how thin your bandaid or how long you use it, it will be super mushy and sluggish
I swear every KB with Cherry profile keycaps sounds the same. Honestly close your eyes, it sounds like someone is popping those little poppers you get in packing materials. I don’t get the obsession with cherry profile caps, put some MT3’s or SA’s on and I bet it sounds much better.
All comes down to personal preference. I prefer the higher pitched tones produced by cherry profile while other might like the deeper tones of taller profile keycaps. At the end of the day, this hobby is based around your own customization
this is THE 2022 board. right here
You are a respectable person my dude to include camera mic is what im looking for since expensive mics have different pick ups.
Cant stop listening to this!
Man that sounds good!
Your making me want to get one.
I almost cried. That was too good to be true

I m using Fr4 plate also, have u used the bottom case foam?
No silicon dampener, only plate foam and pe foam. Also, I have a moyu black on stabilizers and boba u4t on modifiers
@@YBBK how about poron foam? Did u install it?
@@fatrat1184 The only poron foam I can think of is the plate foam. What are you talking about?
no case foam or silicon dampener

can u link the clone keycaps?

oil kings or epsilon? or maybe nebula
Have only tried the oil kings but I really want to try the epsilons
Do you recommend filming the oil king?

Thanks, will look into them!
This is soooo goood!!!
Can you make this setup on you QK75 pretty please? :)
In Pom plate if possible...
Why is there a massive audio change in the middle
I used the camera mic audio, i mention this in the top right corner. It’s to give different perspectives
can you try oil kings in akko mod005 with same mod used in mod005? subscribed!
Thanks for the sub! Unfortunately I most likely won't be doing that. Perhaps in the future MOD series I will use gateron oil kings though.
@UCN_6KqyAz7-0SN_Ey5ej0Pw looking forward for that!
replace the foams and silicone with just polyfil. you're welcome. :)
I’ll look into it 👀
can you try akko vintage whites on this board? great job on the build

just relubed, no films

Basically my build. I left my Oil Kings stock. Did you notice a difference with them lubed?
A little bit deep clack just that
The only major difference is a softer/dampened top out (if you lube top housings). Stock, the oil kings have a fairly high pitched/sharp top out. So I lubed them to complement the marbley/deep sound the PE foam produces.

Oil kings or tangerines in your opinion
Definitely oil kings imo. I’ve tried tangies before and Id say they are a rip off lmao
