Twenty years ago if you told me there'd be a cottage industry for building keyboards button by button and obsessing over the tiny details that you keyboard guys obsess about I'd have said you were crazy. But here we are.
I'm not complaining, mind you. I've been fussy about keyboards since the IBM Model M days. I'm just blown away by how much control you can have over the feel of each key.

@@M3h3ndr3 They still do, you can buy a cheap board for 10/15 euro easy. The problem is that it just won't feel, sound etc as good as a nice mechanical board for example. It will also not be very suited for modern gaming as it will likely have high latency esp if it's wireless

    • @jmiller6066

I wish I understood the appeal, but every mechanical keyboard I try has such ludicrously insane amount of key travel they literally hurt my hands to use no matter what I try. Plus most of them don't even try to be ergonomic, and the ones that do usually miss the mark and so expensive that it discourages experimentation.

yes, people love wanking off something that seems cultured, that's why your comment has 414 likes and mine will have 0
I am here to point out that you are chatting absolute shit, and people like you pretend to enjoy something like this video with its tiny aspect ratio
the greatest area of video that you can view is 1:1 aspect ratio, that is a fact. However in full screen we settle for something like 16:9 because widescreens are much more practical than complete squares. This is a standard for video creation that has lasted because (among other reasons) it is pretty much the most information we can take in to our peripheral vision while still looking roughly in the center of the screen.
So there is no practical reason to widen the screen any more than this, the only reason you would do this is that it makes whatever is playing feel more profound to your simple mind because its "like the movies!". Almost everybody today plays videos on a 16:9 screen. If you use a disgustingly wide ratio like 2.17:1 in this video: you are only losing information, and creating horrible black bars on the top and bottom of the screen
      I don't need likes, I know I'm right

I was disappointed in the keyboard itself but only because I set up unrealistic expectations in my mind based off of the title. I really wanted to see magnetically suspended keys on the keyboard rather than springs, but instead the entire keyboard was suspended.

Great video. Amazing craftsmanship and quality of materials.
One major flaw of this design is the height of the suspension bracket/base. While it may have it's use and benefits, it is *terrible* ergonomically. Using this all day everyday will inevitably lead to discomfort. The only way to fully utility it would be to recess into a table, which seems like an absurd thing to do just for a keyboard. Without the suspension device? Looks perfectly fine as is.

I thought this video was going to be nonsense. What I *didn't* expect was to hear the best keyboard I've ever heard in my life.

Wooooah that's incredible. If I didn't want to spend all my money on earbuds I kind of don't need, I would buy this immediately.
Also I already have a pretty good keyboard already, but... I can swap. I would say it's a shame it's not RGB, but it would kinda destroy the keyboard
