We call the coveted I think highest note the clarinet can play at my high school the super C and I know one guy who can play it. And it’s useless because it can’t be tuned and it’s dynamic is ppppppppppppp lol.
Everyone almost passing out playing their instruments: 😰 Percussionists with their instruments: 😃 But seriously tho, all instruments are awesome, and have their own unique properties and sounds
The clarinetist’s facial expressions are amazing😂 You guys should do one with the flutes! Subcontrabass flute, Contrabass flute, Bass flute, alto flute, flute, piccolo, etc. If you have them, of course.
To be honest, the trumpet had the highest range with clear notes, and I wont count the marimba as it's a percussion instrument, and not a wind instrument, unlike all the other instruments shown in the video.
The lowest note I've played on bassoon is I think Eb1 (using multiphonic fingerings) and the highest is C6 (4 octaves + major6th) so I think I matched or exceeded the trombone dude's range. In real life though, my usable range is Bb1 - F5. So 22va (3 octaves) + P5. The real winner of the challenge (aside from the piano, obviously) would probably be the double bass because they can go basically infinitely high with string harmonics (although it gets quieter the higher they go)
That marimba has 5 octaves! So many solos that I want to play require a 5 octave marimba so I have to email the composers and ask them if they have the solo in a 4 and a 3rd octave marimba😭
I knew the winner would be trombone or euphonium. I wonder how big the tuba guy's range is. That video of him playing winter by vivaldi was absolutely insane
Oboe can go above high G if you have weird fingerings and a good reed. I’ve gotten to a double high A I believe. My fingering chart goes up to a double high C.
Let's see tuba and French Horn! They have the greatest ranges of the brass family.
tuba has an impressive range but euphonium has the biggest range in brass

Same here, brother
The trombonist could have played higher just a little bit
Also, as a trombonist, I can’t go that high right now I can go pretty high, but not that high

That clarinet tho 😮

What note is that? I think it’s a G, but not sure. If it is, it’s about 6-7 semisteps above my highest note.
@@frosticle6409Yep it's a G 👍
@@stickfigureinternational8972If you work on those. high notes, they can actually be controlled - volume-/dynamics-wise.
The bass and Contrabass clarinets have 5 octaves. Also the Bassoon is another one for the woodwind family with the largest range.
F0 to A8 if you try hard enough
fuck my hs band is making me (bassoon) play wayyyyyyy over and under the staff
I've managed to consistently play a 6th octave Bb on my contrabass
as a bassoonist, i can confirm you can go down to low Bb or a with a modified bell.

laughter till tears, keep it coming! Bless and keep all of you safe and joyful 💖😊
Thank you so much!!! You saved my day! Please come back soon with an other instrument challenge. There are so many days to save.
The struggle on the high note on trombone I feel that 😭
not your fault. trombones just dont have a strong altissimo as an instrument. typically why you never see altissimo trombone passages.
Piano enters the chat
as a drummer who occasionally plays marimba, this video makes me happy
Yay! Percussion!
percussion for the win 😎
Finally
Trombone hitting that high high c is crazy
But they showed an E for.. some reason
That’s treble clef, not bass clef. It is a C

@Lightning Moon Games Wind instruments already include brass instruments.

The marimba ate and left no crumbs
You can’t just play a double C like that on trumpet. It’s not fair to the rest of us. At least make it LOOK like you’re trying.
Percussion FTW
Im dead from the EEEKK that cane from the clarinet, I didn't even know that was a note😅I've made it before on Accident by squeaking🤣
percussion for the win 😎
i felt the oboe pain 😭
try the saxopones. they have their lowest note in the bass clef's middle or low range (except for soprano) to whatever note you're feeling like!
Trumpet technically has an infinite number of harmonics so it depends on you
It’s the same for all brass instruments. We theoretically have infinite range upwards, but there is a point where we can’t go any lower
@@ethanhambleton8693same thing applies to woodwinds and strings. Manipulating harmonics let's us play basically infinitely high
A+ to all.
The clarinet was my favorite
The clarinetist was so silly looking (affectionate)

Where’s the tuba?!?!? We all know he has the best range 😎
Marimba ftw 🤘🤘🤘
Drumkit: why are we here just to suffer
Marimba. That's not fair!
The marimba player can do that for hours! 😀 How’s everyone else’s chops?
bro, the marimba played it so easily 😭
The 108 Key Piano is 9 Octaves so that's the largest range.
Hearing a trumpet play a note that can be comfortably played on tuba is surreal
As a trumpet player
I am impressed
BRO THE TROMBONIST COULDVE GONE SO MUCH HIGHER WHAAAAAT
The Percussion will always win, no doubt about it.
That Trombone was enjoying that last note.
Man that stare got me. Right into my soul🤣
The clarinet more like a drama 😂
love how oboe acted so happy about it like she wasn't 2 octaves away from being second to worst
3rd one is me every morning after coffee
I literally have that exact piano
I love the trombone player's reaction after he plays lol. So cute
How high can you play?
Trumpets: yes
Only at the percussion section.
The clarinets high note 🤣
The organist: I’m about to end this man’s whole career
Last one was obviously the most impressive
Having to scale your way up to a higher note is so accurate as a trumpet.
I have a 5 octave range on bass clarinet :)
This is the actual good part of the military
That ending killed me
ok well if you're going to get the marimba involved you have to let the piano play too (7!)
French horn would crush this so hard
As a trombone player, my record is six octaves. from the Sub pedal Bb to the Bb6 or idk the Bb above the high Bb
Organist like you could handle a fraction of my power
Really the clarinet won
Nah to an audience that just sounds like a sqeak
My range on the trumpet right now is 2 3/8 octaves. The ability of these professionals to jump 4 octave intervals immediately is insane

Percussion always win!!
Finally, a competition the French horn could win!
Percussion for the win
trombone could go lower to a pedal C or B, but it's hard to play with a clear tone, insane that he went that high tho
Oboe can go above high G if you have weird fingerings and a good reed. I’ve gotten to a double high A I believe. My fingering chart goes up to a double high C.
I Play clarinet and I didn’t know we could go that high! I’ve only went the lowest one not the highest so this surprises me :>
Percussion is always superior
Yes we are the best
the clarinetist was lookin devious
I wanna see a French horn
My range
My lowest note: F1
My highest note: E5
3 7/8 octaves
On double bass I can go about E1 to G6 without a lower extension piece
I play the clarinet
The trombone actually overshot that note- it’s hard note but it’s not that high-also it’s in the wrong position 💀😭😭😭
