    One major issue with that specific if statement. You are going by direct low only. Sometimes there is no direct low price. So it will set it to 10 cents. When the market price is say 30 cents. If you instead get the highest value of market price and direct low, then set it to 10 cents, that will stop that. There will always be a marketplace price, but not always a direct low price.
    As for setting it via the pricing tab, you can do that if you don't have any cards in it. And or if you constantly refresh your RI and orders page before you save any changes. That will make sure you don't have any issues. But the .csv import will be easier/more fool proof of not having extra cards in inventory.

      Yeah I've realized it's got some potential issues with the spreadsheet jiggery-pokery. I'll mess around with it and update you all on what I eventually settle on, as well as try to make sure it or some version of it works with most popular spreadsheet programs

      @@VA-ng2ve is there anyway to set in the mass price tool to go to direct low and if it’s not there to do market price?

    • @FaryaWolyo_
      @FaryaWolyo_ 2 месяца назад

      @@keepthehobbyalive3647 Yes, but it requires multiple rules. What I do is set price floors by category for cards. So for example the process looks like:
      1. I have a rule for all modern foils that sets them to market price. If market price is below $0.12, it instead sets them to $0.12. (By using a "fixed value" minimum of $0.12)
      2. Run a second rule that targets all of the same expansions and exact same print type. With this rule, have it set your prices to "current TCG Marketplace price," but on the minimum tab use "TCGP Direct low"
      When you do it this way and there's a Direct low, your price won't be lower than it. However, you can otherwise maintain your price floors for different print types and eras of cards. Best of both.
      Pro Tips:
      Give your rules naming conventions that help you identify what order to run them in, such as:
      1.) Modern Foils (Market-Fixed)
      2.) Modern Foils (Current-Direct)
      Create your rules in the ORDER you want to run them, because you'll end up making enough that you'll have to go through multiple pages and refreshes in order to run all of them, and because there's not currently any way to reorganize your rules...
      Finally, to speed up the process of using mass price (since the website is a bit sluggish) when navigating between rule pages DON'T simply click "rules" and then select the page tab. Instead, use the URL in your browser to navigate faster. Want to go straight to page 4 because you have 10 rules to run there? Copy and paste your page 4 url. Or, change the URL number to 3/2 in order to change what page you're navigating to.
      Hope this helps, this is all of my MassPrice wisdom! :)

My breakeven on non-Direct orders is around $.10 of product, so that's where I'm sitting right now. I don't see there being a problem with the Direct fee structure if you go to $.05 though, I think you get paid out $.03 for orders of $.05, so really not too bad

      @TCGBulkKings yessir. I began to blame tcgplayer on this, but as you said, it's all really human error, just in the way we are interacting with a "dumb" system. It simply doesn't know any better. When your using the xls, it's an add to, getting around that "dumb" part of the system, which you did a fantastic job explaining btw.
      I changed my system on how I do it, through inventory, I stick to only adding the exact number of cards I'm adding, regardless of whatever it says I have. It seems to work. As by that time I've already sorted my cards going in to my left, and where they are going into card boxes on my right. This way, the ones that sell mid stroke, as it were, look erroneous, until that order is filled. It also gives me a quick check on that total as I physically put them in inventory. Excel seems easier.
