That's a good trick. I also struggled with building a set or something. I'm currently just trying to make the space behind me somewhat attractive. At this point just using a table with a couple items I think look nice. I'll have to think if I think a green screen could help at all.
Great video Scott. Nice and simple. I have a question in regards to the "other" app you use. The one for drawing arrows while demoing. What is the name of that program? That would be really handy for when I run demos.
I bought a green cloth, fixed it to a 5cm/2 inch tube with pieces of Velcro and 3D printed some stands that I fixed to the cupboard behind me. The tube is resting in the stands so that it doesn't drop from the cupboard. Costs were about US$ 12 in materials. The field of view of my camera is bigger than the cloth and like Scott, I had to cut pieces from the camera image. My suggestion is to make a couple of scenes where you only have the camera as a device and filter everything that you want (Chroma key, etc). One full screen image, one smaller so you can use the image in the bottom-right or -left of your screen. You can add then those camera-scenes in your other scenes as you like.
The point that I wanted to make is when you use just the camera and it's filter as a scene and include that in other scenes, you don't need to crop your camera picture and add the filters for every new scene.
I am not very techy, am trying to learn so that I can do green screen for my students using powerpoint slides and put into Microsoft Teams to do them. I liked your tutorial, but can you slow it down for newbees? Thanks
I did same, or actually better in $70 (Rs 2000) I also added video capture card to take video input from TV, and make a virtual live TV in the background... My manager was fooled thinking I am in a real place...
The lighting is really a great point that so many people working remote just seem to miss.
You can hold ALT to crop as well
Thanks!
Thanks for pointing me to OBS. Didn't know that such good chroma key software is available for free.

it does feel weird, it does seem weird, we really serious... lol. Very funny. Ty for the explanations about the green stuff.
Great info and shirt, per usual. Downloaded OBS, and setting up right now.
What a cool thing!! Awesome as usual. Thx Master!

Love this video Scott. You rock 😃

If there's a better tech teach out there.... I haven't seen her/him. Another great vid.
Love that shirt!
Can share the foreground and background? :D

Hi Scott. What lighting are you referring to from Home Depot? Any link? Thanks in advance. Good tip!

Love to figure out a way to use Microsoft Teams with OBS to make it look like I'm on a roller coaster during SCRUM
Install SnapCamera, use that camera in Teams then, switch filters on the fly
@@KoenHeye Awesome! Checking it out now.
Thanks for those information! Question, witch camera do you recomment me?
I like the Logitech Brio
I actually thought it was your set, until you "gave it away" lol Looks great and this was easier to achieve than I thought.
“But I’m cheap and lazy” 🤣
This is a great tutorial, thanks! What software are you using to record your screen?
OBS
I just use NVidia broadcast :D does the same without greenscreen
What is the name of Software?
OBS. You can get it here obsproject.com/
Well, don't need all this. Microsoft Teams has a function to place your own background. We use this on the meetings at work.
And the quality is good.
